Needed a repair to my homes garage roof (a flat roof). They came out for the estimate, worker was very friendly. Went over what the defects were with the original job that was done by another contractor prior to us purchasing our home several years prior. They were one of 3 estimates we requested. All 3 roofers identified the same defects and the 2 that give us estimates they were literally half the price. They did the job 1 week after we accepted their proposal. Worker was excellent. Updated me on the jobs progress throughout. Nice quality job, cleaned up completely and removed all garbage. Very satisfied.

John Goess is courteous, professional and friendly. He arrived and began work as scheduled. Work was skillfully and quickly performed. Final cost was as quoted. Should I need roofing work in the future, I will definitely call John Goess Roofing.

John & his crew are punctual, professional, competent & thorough. They removed my old roof and installed the new one in a single day. John delivered exactly what was proposed at the proposal price. We contacted John Goess roofing through Angies List to get an estimate for a new roof. He was one of five estimates that was received for the work. The prices were all over the place from 23,000$ to 7300$. John Goess came in with the lowest estimate but the materials were the same for all and the professionalism that John showed was the best during the estimate process. Originally, John came to the house when we were not home and left an estimate in our mailbox along with information on the materials that were to be used. As stated earlier, they were the same if not better than the other companies. I called John back and requested an in person meeting to discuss the job. Within a day, we were sitting down discussing in detail the job that was to be done. He was pleasant to speak with and knew right away this was the company to work with. We were still a little bit hesitant because the price difference was so great. There had to be a catch?? We set a date which was a few days after that meeting and he stated he would be there bright and early. Cant remember if it was 7AM or 730AM but it was quite early. He was punctual as the materials and workers arrived right on time. Jumping ahead, the work done was exceptional. THERE WAS NO CATCH!! The job was done in a day. A couple of things to note in regards to the professionalism and honesty of this company. John had realized he did not measure properly (it was raining when he measured) and it was over by a few hundred square feet. Most companies would have said "here is the new price" and hand us a new invoice. John stated it was not our fault and would not change the estimate even though it would have been substantially higher. The other thing to note was the professionalism of the workers. I have never seen a group of workers so happy during the job. It was cold out and not the best of working conditions but workers were singing and seemed very happy to working for this company. This showed in final product as well. Happy workers do good work!! The cleanup went well and could not be happier with job and would recommend this company to all. Thanks John!! I notified John by email and he returned my email and called me back very quickly. We spoke over the phone and he identified the problem an made an appointment to fix the roof within a day. Bill responded to my home, inspected the roof, explained what needed to be done and fixed it in less than an hour. This company is very professional, does a great job and is very reasonable in price. I highly recommend this company.

Crew showed up early & efficiently removed old roof & replaced with new. Also did a great clean up job. It was a pleasure dealing with John from estimate to completion of job. Very pleased with my new roof.

It was fine. The team started early in the morning and were finished late afternoon. We have a shed in the backyard and they even put a new roof on the shed so that it would match the one on the house. Clean up was good too. There was a heavy rain storm soon after and there were no leaks. that was a relief.

Called for an estimate on Friday John showed up by 8:30 on Saturday morning. John did an excellent job and also repaired other troubled areas at no extra charge. His price was less than 1/3 estimates of other contractor estimates. Just as a point of information, many other companies did not wish to quote on a such a small job.. I would highly recommend this company.

I had an estimate done by John Goess Roofing. He also gave a friend of mine an estimate the same week. I had estimates done from other companies. One was slightly higher for the same materials. One was $10,000.00 higher.... ridiculous... I decided to go with John because he answered any questions I had and he didn't put any pressure on me. He just felt "right" to me. and I like to go with my gut instincts. My friend (who knows how to do construction work) was also very comfortable with his answers) I am SO GLAD I did. His crew showed up on time, the materials were there as promised. I had an errand to run... I left the house as they started to unload the materials. I was gone 45 minutes. When I got back to my house, they already had everything on the roof and half the garage roof was ripped off (its a two & half car garage) and the back half of the house was 1/4 ripped off. This was at 8:15 am. By 1:15 in the afternoon, the roof was completed. Three members of the crew stayed behind to finish cleaning up. When they left an hour later you couldn't tell I had just had a crew at my house working, There was no garbage, no signs of work being done, The yard was cleaned up, the street was cleaned up. the sidewalks and driveway were cleaned up. I walked up and down my property checking for any nails and found ONE... They were all very nice, very hard working, very neat. and very quick. Oh Yeah. They put a roof on my friends house the next day and he is as happy as I am!!!! I would HIGHLY recommend John Goess...

John Goess Roofing was recommended to us by family and also by the recommendations on Angie?s List. We needed a rip off of two layers and a new roof. After doing research on the internet about the type of shingles we wanted, we contacted him for an estimate. He came the very next morning and left the estimate with extensive literature at our front stoop. We called him later with a list of questions and he spoke with us very patiently and answered all our questions and concerns. We are very particular about our property and especially our shrubbery. He assured us that they would do a neat and clean job and not cause any damage to our bushes or property. We set the date for 5/20/15 in the morning and John arrived at 6:45 a.m. and then the material and workers arrived promptly at 7:00 a.m. That was perfect for us because we are early morning risers. His foreman and crew did an excellent job of removing the old shingles and then installing the deck protection, leak barrier, attic vents, starter strips, ridge vent and all the new shingles and ridge caps. The new shingles were all hand nailed to prevent the nails from sticking up or going too deep. They did an excellent job of cleaning up all the old shingles and any nails, etc. that might of dropped. The whole job took 4-1/2 hours and everything went like clockwork, even with the drop off and pick up of the dumpster. We highly, highly recommend John Goess Roofing to anyone needing a new roof with careful workers and quality products. We thank you, John, for your excellent work!

It went extremely well.. We bought a house as is - knowing that the roof needed to be replaced immediately. I researched companies online and contacted John Goess Roofing for an estimate. Bill came within a day or so, checked out the roof, gave us an estimate as well as informational materials to review. We scheduled the replacement after reviewing the information. The crew of 9 and a foreman arrived on time and completed the work within the same day. They worked non-stop and took a short lunch break. Tarps were used to contain the debris which was completely removed at the end of the job. They also protected the ornamental bushes and flower beds for damage. John was there throughout the day too check on the progress. We were concerned about the weather and he assured us that the men wouldn't start until the rain let up. John cheerful answered all our questions. He and the entire team were extremely professional. We are very satisfied with the lifetime guarantee and would not hesitate to recommend this provider to anyone.

Every step went of the process went perfectly. They arrived on time, the owner and crew worked as a team ,were extremely professional, answered all my questions, cleaned up so well, I could not tell they were there- not even a scrap! John Goess knows his business !!! I am so pleased I choose him to do my roof.

John is a man of few words. He informed me of what he was going to do, when he was going to do it, and how long the job would take. He did what he said he was going to do. No if, and, or buts. I appreciate his professionalism, and his integrity. When a homeowner can say he has full faith in a contractor's work, that in itself means a lot. All the nails were in the roof, not one left on the ground. After It rained today, I checked for leaks. None found. His team worked flawlessly. Each person had their job to do and did it with enthusiasm. They all worked together without any problems. The job went like clockwork. I appreciated the work of all concerned.

I contacted John through Angie's List and he was very prompt in his response. I had one other estimate for the same work and John Goess Roofing had a lower estimate for the same work. He dropped off the estimate at my house along with the addresses of several examples of his work in the area. We were able to see the color we wanted on a completed roof and this was a great help. On the day the crew arrived, the materials were delivered and the large crew (so many I lost count) got right to work and they made a quick job of it. They even re-hung a gutter that was badly done in the first place. I think they left the jobsite cleaner than when they found it. I can't say enough how pleased I am with the whole experience from start to finish and highly recommend you give your next roofing job to John Goess and his crew.

It went great. John calls me back promptly and showed up within a few days as it was not an emergency. Price was fair and I didn't have to put a claim in on my insurance.

They were fast, very reasonable and seemed to do a very good job. John has his own ideas about products and vents and that sort of thing. I trusted his judgement and it worked out.

Wonderful!! I got an email response so quickly..I didn't have to be home for him to check it out. We bought the house from my husband's aunt who had a complete New roof done. My mother in law also used this companies service.. they came highly recommended..the leak nay be an issue with the flashing and they said they can repair it ( it was rainy the day he came so he couldn't get up there) or it may be a chimney issue in which he gave me a name of a company. This is a highly recommend company..I am so impressed! This will be the company I will choose to do my detached garage roof. I wish all companies were this professional. Thank you John goess!!

At the advice of a friend I called a different roofer for my third roof and was very sorry I did not return to John Goess who did the second.

Best work done to date. Price was spot on, work was non invasive, cleanup and property was perfect! John and his crew were prompt, fast and efficient. Roof went up quickly and all problem areas were fixed. No surprises and great customer serve....even added new sheathing without any additional cost. Would def work with again.

He’s in my area and he gets highly recommended all the time. He’s on Angie’s List and he gets excellent reviews. He’s been a neighborhood roofer for probably 4 years. A lot of people in the neighborhood use him because he’s in the neighborhood. He’s very responsive, very reliable and he is not over priced. He’s not a real big company but he’s a prominent guy who can do it. He’s very reasonable. He came back numerous times without charging me. I know him and he’s an honorable person. I will definitely use him again.

John Goess receives the highest praise I have ever given for the job that he and his crew did. I have a large center hall colonial house. The roof is steep. Initially I asked for his help after Katrina because of damage to some shingles. He came out the next day to patch the loose shingles even thought the area was flooded. He never pushed any additional work on the house, just did the job. When I needed the roof done, I definitely saw John as honest, capable, responsible and courteous. I knew I needed help with replacing the roof since it was put up thirty years ago. I called John a week ago which is the start of winter. He agreed, giving me an honest appraisal of which removal was needed. He didn't push any unnecessary work. He and the crew come to my house at 6:45 am today. The temperature was TWENTY DEGREES the whole day they were here. They unloaded all the necessary materials and started promptly. John brought all the shingles, plywood and a big removal truck for the old shingles. Every single shingle was picked up and brought away when the job was finished. His crew of ten men was amazing. They all worked meticulously for eight hours in the freezing cold. John treated them with respect bringing coffee and donuts and then lunch for them. They were a serious, competent , concentrated group, paying attention to every detail. Every nail was hammered in by hand. I couldn't believe how smoothly and quickly they went from ripping down old 30 year old shingles, cutting the plywood and putting up new shingles. I think that was due to John's long experience and careful supervision of every bit of the work. There was no kidding around. It was all work. John gave me a receipt for the cost of the work when it was finished. It is rare to see an honest. respectful , knowledgeable, responsible and efficient person of John's quality. I am very pleased. If you want a fine quality job, call John Goess. He took the worry out of a big job.

They did a good job. I thought they were very good and we had no problems. They did the job they were supposed to and did it well.

Ripped off two layers of old roof and re-roofed with GAF HD Architectural shingles. They were FAST and accurate. Resealed all pipes, installed new vents plus new attic ventilator fan. Cleanup was very good. All in all a very professional job. John was very informative and personable. He taught me some things about roofs I never knew. |Definitely would recommend.
