Great job, neat and reasonable.

He was very good. He came punctually and he was there when he was supposed to be there. He was a very friendly guy. We don't know if the roof was fixed because we haven't had any rain as yet. He came in a professional truck and had all the equipment he needed. He was very professional.

John Goess was one of several roofers I called. John came when he said he would, went up on my roof (the other roofers did not) took time to sit in my kitchen, talk to me about the job and made me feel comfortable. I couldn't be more satisfied. Angie's List is a great resource.

John furnished an estimate and left us shingle samples with a listing of homes in our area that had used the various color shingles. He answered all of our questions. Although not the very lowest in price, he was close to it and I felt comfortable using him. When a date was set up to do the work, he kept us informed of the idiosyncracies of the weather. It turned out to be fine that day and his crew showed up on time and the work was satisfactorily finished earlier than anticipated. I would recommend him without hesitation.

He returned my call the same day I called him. When I explained the problem I was having he gave me a price over the phone, came to my house the next day, and made the necessary repairs. Of course, it hasn't rained yet, so we don't know if the problem is really fixed, but I have faith that it is.

He got right back to me and came over with a written estimate. He was very professional. I chose not to use him because I found a lower price, that is the only reason. I would consider him in the future.

Completely ripped off two layers of roofing, removed old vents and filled in holes, replaced three vents on extension roof and added ridge vents to hip roof, garage and main roof. They installed ice shield on all eaves, around the dog house dormer, around the vent pipe, at both chimney flashings and around three skylights. Since the extension portion of the roof has a low pitch (forgot the ratio) he completely covered that portion of the roof with ice shield also. He replaced three vinyl siding panels at the peak on one side of the house that were damaged (I had left over panels). This he did gratis!!! Oh yeah...then he installed a beautiful architectural roof. Clean up was great. The guys working for him were great (John works too). Very professional.

I called john and left a message on his voice mail and received a call within a couple of hours. Made an apt. and received a good estimate. John came on time and did an excellent job replacing and matching the existing color. Great job John thanks!!!!!

This roofer's quote was $500 higher than the lowest of three, and it was $1500 lower than the other. I was most impressed by his forthrightness in identifying and explaining the color changes in the GAF/ELK shingle line. The other two contractors simply gave equivalent color names from the old line to the new. Then they gave lists of reference houses with the old colors to go see, the implication being that you would get that color with the new name. However, the reality is that our color was quite different. John Goess identified the change and also gave us a list of the (fewer) houses on which he had installed the very new shingle line. In the end, we got the color and pattern roof we expected. We counted as significant that he provided, with his quote, a useful list of how to prepare for the job and exactly what to expect on the day of the job, and that he would personally supervise the job. I liked that he would hand-nail the roof rather than staple it. John put us on his schedule less than a week after we called to confirm the job. He did not ask for a deposit, but said to pay him at the end of the job. He was there on time, early in the morning, and was finished the same day. He was on the roof working with and supervising his crew for most of the job. I had asked him whether I could purchase a bundle of shingles for a planned bay window on the house, and he left me a pile containing more than enough shingles for the job - no charge. I did pick up a few handfuls of nails for a few days, but not enough to motivate me to call the roofer. It seemed reasonable, considering the landscaping.

The job went very smoothly. We obtained a quote on the work from John Goess and set up a date within 1 week. Mr. Goess was on site supervising and participating in the work. He had a large, well organized work crew that did an excellent job of keeping the house and grounds clear from debris. We have a brand new composite deck on the rear of the house that was carefully protected by the work crews. The only problem we had was caused by some roofing adhesive which was spattered onto a porch rail. Mr. Goess personally responded the next day to clean things up. So what can I say - we got a competitive price; the work was done on time and well; the area was kept clean and we got a very fast response to fix up a minor problem. All in all, this was one of the best contracting experiences I have had. I highly recommend Mr. Goess.

Very Pleased. Surveyed 4 companies, was very professional in communication and attentiveness to detail, good to work with, other firms were hurried in their approach over costing a simple repair. John Goess Roofing did the job that was promised when it was promised and followed up on his work.

Nails came out the shingles which made them loose. I had this company come out to replace them, they were great and I loved their service. The company came out right away and they did a wonderful job.

He was excellent and he couldn't have been better. He showed up on time and did a very good job. I would definitely use him again in the future.

I've known this contractor for thirty years. I've always thought he's done exceptional work. He is very professional and has a decent crew working with him.

We had three layers of old roofing removed and a new roof applied. John Goess and his crew were here on time, took special care with our shrubs, did a beautiful job on the roof, and called back quickly when we had questions, etc. There was a mess taking off the 3 layers of old roofing, but when they left my yard looked better than before they'd arrived! Excellent, courteous, conscientious... cannot say enough good about this company! By the way, we DID return...they also did our roof many years back. We would have no one else!

John and his crew removed the old roof down to the rafters and replaced everything. He also replaced the attic fan and installed two new roof vents. They started at around 8 am and were gone with the job completely done, the yard clean by 1 pm.

He installed a new roof for us. Work was done quickly and neatly. I highly recommend him.

Excellent experience. Neat, clean, quick and a real gentleman. Also installed an attic exhaust fan (that I purchased) at no charge while he was doing the roof.

John Goess called when he said he would call and showed up and completed the work when he said he would. We had severe thunderstorms after he performed the job and there were no leaks in the kitchen.

THEY ARE A WONDERFUL COMPANY. I HAVE HAD MY HOME FOR TWENTY-FIVE YEARS, AND I HAVE USED THEM FROM TIME TO TIME AND THE WORK IS GREAT. THEY ARE AN HONEST AND RELIABLE COMPANY.

THE BAY WINDOW LEAKED BECAUSE THE MORTAR WAS DISTURBED AFTER THE ROOFS WERE TORN OFF. BECAUSE OF THE THICKNESS OF THE ROOF GOING DOWN TO ONE LAYER, SEVERAL BRICKS WERE DISLODGED AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. JOHN TOOK CARE OF THE MATTER AND FOLLOWED UP TO OUR SATISFACTION.

THE ROOF LOOKS FABULOUS! THE OLD ROOF STARTED LEAKING AND I CALLED THIS COMPANY, THEY WASTED NO TIME AT ALL TO REPLACE THE OLD ONE WITH A NEW ONE. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM TO EVERYONE.

MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH JOHN GOESS ROOFING WAS A VERY GOOD ONE. THEY KNEW EXACTLY WHAT THEY WERE DOING, AND THEY FINISHED THE JOB VERY QUICKLY. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.
