He was down there for a little while, replaced the thermal couple (which he charged extra for), and then had some bad news: the low water cutoff was shot, and since he said the boiler was built in 1991, he recommended replacing it, since the low water cutoff replacement would cost about $1500. A few weeks later I got a slip in the mail with a very high estimate for a new boiler. So I called another plumber, and had the low water cutoff replaced for $645. Brand new (the entire assembly), for almost a third of the price he claimed it would cost. The boiler works fine, and was built to 1991 code - that doesn't mean it is from 1991 - the code was in effect a while. The boiler is old but since there have been almost no advancements in the quality of steam boilers over the years -- in fact the higher efficiency ones go even faster -- and 2 different plumbers told me the boiler was in decent shape -- I consider a $645 repair money well spent. On top of all this, he did not actually service the boiler. The sight glass was almost not possible to see through. The boiler was totally dirty. He did nothing but change the thermal couple. I had to pay the other plumber who repaired the low water cutoff to re-service the boiler. That's great he didn't want to be bothered working on such an old boiler but I paid for the service.

This went fine except that it didn't solve the problem I called them for which was the drainhose from the dishwasher was still clogged! Now I have to spend more money on a dishwasher repairman when I thought this would take care of it. I have used Ron before and I was very satisfied with him, but Ken didn't help me at all.

R&H arrived promptly, confirmed the location and height of the line with me and coordinated their work with the electricians. Installed a vertical support and painted the pipe to meet code and tested the line.

Great! An appointment was made in the near future from my first call. He showed up on time and provided a quotation. We made another appointment. He showed up on time and did what he promised to do. I had no reason for any call backs! The fact that R&H got it right the first time sets them apart from my previous plumber. Clean up was included. A great experience overall. I will use R&H for all my plumbing needs.

Of the $600, $300 was paid for a 10-minute return visit to install a shower hose ($78) and a new sink plug ($60). Parts seemed way too expensive. I had to wait for an hour because the plumber forgot the hose and had to go back to the shop. I should have been paid for my time. I will never use this company again.

Do call R&H. You can get someone over in a short time and they come punctually. The lady in the office calls when the plumber is on his way. They are neat and organized and very informative.

A bit on the pricey, but reliable and know what they are doing. Overall, very good company and I highly recommend.

They are wonderful They are honest. They come when they say they are going to come. I would definitely recommend them. I did have a problem with a faucet I had installed but they came back and fixed it.

I am very pleased with the work. The bathroom is very old, he had to order the special fixtures. He estimated the fixtures taking up to 4-6 weeks to arrive and they came in within 3 weeks which was great. They installed everything and it looks great. He was very thorough and explained everything that was going to happen. He took his time to answer all of my questions and showed me how the new fixtures work.

The water hose to our washer/drier burst and we had a major flood. Luckily I knew how to shut the water main. The next morning at 8:15 am I called R&H. A plumber was dispatched within minutes and showed up 20 minutes later. At 9:45am the job was complete. I was amazed... The dispatcher told us the rates they charge on the phone (before I even asked). In case you need a plumber in Rockland County, NY call them. They are even open (for emergencies) 24/7. In case you wonder - I am not affiliated with them, nor do I have any interest in posting this review. I was simply pleasantly surprised, as my expectations were low.

They are just marvelous. They come when they say they are going to come. Their work is guaranteed. When I had a problem, they came back the next day at 8 a.m. and did not charge me for the call. I have been very happy with them.

They are not the cheapest but they are extremely responsive and do great work. They always call back and show up exactly when they say they will. They are an absolute pleasure to do business with and I will continue to use this firm for my plumbing needs.

The price is a good as any other place. They were very responsive. They were polite and they cleaned up.
