+ -1 moreMarvelous! Absolutely brilliant. All requested work was done within 36 hours of drop off. Upholstery work is so neat and clean, I have put the 4 chairs back into service, and have stored my other 4. Rachel was extremely sensitive to my urgent concerns and accomplished everything early. We are so pleased!
Description of Work: Immediate attention required. New foam and fabric on 4 old, teak chairs. Support for seat platform of a 5th chair.

+ -1 moreFor someone in the business of furniture repair, they just couldn't have done a worse job. If they had no intention of repairing our leaf because they knew we were getting a new table from the dinette store, the least they could have done was let us know that. For botching the job so badly , (ruining a brand new custom ordered table) they exhibited no professionalism at all. The owner told my husband over the phone, "sometimes unfortunate things happen". Although that is true, it should be unfortunate for the business that made the mistake - NOT the customer. They should have done everything to make it better for their customer.
Description of Work: A dinette table was purchased from a local store, but the table did not have locks installed for the additional leaves. The store called on the services of Tims furniture to install the locks, because they said they were professional and would do it right. When they came with the locks and screwed them in underneath, they split the wood of the table top. (didn't pre-drill holes) There were very minor splits everwhere they put in the locks (which weren't apparent right away), but in one place the split was so bad that the repair man couldn't hide it. After he spoke with his boss, they told my husband they would repair the leaf so we wouldn't even know the split was there, and they told him that we wouldn't have it back by Thanksgiving, but definitely by Christmas. After he left with our leaf, my husband noticed the other splits and we called the furniture store to tell him we wanted another table. Now we are waiting for a new table, but never got our leaf back. The holidays came and went, and I placed several call to Tims furniture repair prior to Christmas and got voicemail each time I called. I left a detailed message stating we wanted our leaf back for Christmas as we were hosting dinner, but they never even had the professional courtesy to call me back. Unbelievable.
