I called Surfside for a repair on a Kenmore dryer that was not generating heat. I called at 8:30A.M. (today) and he was here before 9:30 A.M. He diagnosed the problem as a heating coil and quickly replaced the item.. The charge was very reasonable and he also recommended that we replace our dryer vent line. One key difference was that there was no $125 "show up " fee that I was led to believe would be incorporated in my cost such as other companies charge... I highly recommend Surfside Appliance Service Center and Anthony for any repairs needed on any appliances in your household.

Although I was satisfied with the repair I think the cost was unfairly high. My son who had no previous repair experience made the same repair on my other oven using a part I purchased online. Since I needed to hire someone this time I contacted Surfside Appliance. They were unwilling to give me any idea of the repair cost but since I knew it was a simple fix and the part cost $25 I made the appointment. However, a five minute repair with an inexpensive part ended up costing $275. I realize that companies have to make money but I think this was extreme. Even though they are located right in my neighborhood I would never use them again.

They didn’t confirm the cause of the problem right away, so I had to pull the fridge out any time I suspected a leak. It took a week but I found the source and had them replace the part. They waived any fees for the repeat visit, which was courteous. Problem solved.

They showed up on time and diagnosed the problem with my refrigerator. I had a bad mother board (the electronics running the controls). They installed a new one, and that was that. UNTIL... almost a year later. A similar issue was happened, and I called them back to look at it. They arrived on time, and installed a NEW mother board... FOR FREE. It's nice to see a company that stands by their work, and keeps their word. They promised it was under warrantee for a year, and they meant it. They could have messed around and said it was a different issue (I wasn't even home for it, my mother let them in), but instead they chose to do the right thing. I hadn't left them a review for the original work. But I was impressed enough by their company coming back and fixing an issue almost a year later (for free) that I decided I at least owed them a positive review here on Angie's List. It brings piece of mind to know you're dealing with an honest company.

I called on Friday and they came right out on Monday. They were right on time, efficient, in and out doing the work. They had the part right on the truck. They knew exactly what they were doing.

Our oven and broiler were not working. Anthony of the subject initially came in third week in December. He diligently tested every wire and connection. He then told us that the "panel" needed replacement. Anthony called the morning of 12/30 to say he had the part. He arrived within the hour, installed the part and did not charge us for an additional service charge. He was courteous, professional and efficient. I would recommend this firm to all.

I have used Surfside Appliance for many years and would recommend them to everyone. They are a small family outfit with very personal service. They have repaired my stove, refrigerator, wash and dryer. They are always incredibly responsive with regard to appointments. Their prices are very fair and they've never tried to sell me anything that isn't necessary. In fact, they have always been honest and have told me when it doesn't make sense to put more money into an old appliance vs. purchasing a new one. I have recommended them to others as well and all have been very satisfied.

I HAVEN'T HAD ONE PROBLEM AFTER SURFSIDE APPLIANCE SERVICE REPAIRED MY DRYER'S GAS IGNITION COMPONENT. I FOUND THE REPAIRMEN TO BE VERY EASY TO WORK WITH AND QUITE EFFICIENT.

SURFSIDE WAS A VERY RESPONSIVE, PROFESSIONAL AND PLEASANT COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH. THEY CAME RIGHT AWAY AND HAD THE PROBLEM FIXED IN NO TIME. I WAS HAPPY WITH THEIR SERVICES.
