Robert is very professional and takes a great deal of pride in his work. His prices are fair and the work was completed within the time frame agreed upon. He arrives on time and cleans up! I will have Robert completing tile work in my bathroom in the near future.
Description of Work: Robert build two bookshelves. In addition to that, he added a bannister leading to the basement as a safety measure. On the outside front door way, he completed a new facade replacing the one that had deteriorated over time. All work was done diligently and with care.

Robert spent much time advising us where to purchase the materials and what type to obtain so the framing would not rot in the future as the prior framing had after only several years. He was precise in his measurements, did an excellent job, and cleaned up properly.
Description of Work: Installed decorative framing around sides and top of front outside door.

He would give quotes and then not stick to the quote. He demanded immediate payment and was very rude in the way that he spoke to us. He would leave work unfinished and damaged the sinks in the bathroom-he used them for cleanup and they are now stained. He also left garbage behind.
Description of Work: Installing cabinets, putting in floor, installing molding, and painting.

Response from GIAMBALVO CONTRACTING
In all these years since 2008 I have not seen this report on myself. Now I will tell my side of the story. I almost took this lawyer to court and had to get my lawyer to get final payment from him which was not what I wanted and it was wasted on my laywer's fee. This man will never be able to see or understand the fine kitchen work I did for him. He was a new lawyer, starting out living in his newly purchased house with his mother. This man can lie like you would not believe it. I put down a fine porcelain tile floor over a mortar floor I laid down 1st. It was flat, level and well attached. Actually the tile work was contracted and finished previous to the other kitchen work. I installed his base and wall cabinets ordered from Consumers kitchens and bath. I did all the electric. I painted the kitchen and did some sheet rocking. The kitchen looked great. I worked so long and hard for him and his mother. Member told me not to bother cleaning the adjacent bathroom because they were going to redo it after the kitchen. I would have finished cleaning up but since I was not returning to their house because my contract with him was in dispute this did not happen. I do do a general cleanup at the end of every work day. They accuse me of being rude. I was very anxious with Member because it was difficult getting money from him. He was asking me to come over late at night and move many paint cans to his attic. I had them neatly stacked in one of his rooms upstairs from previous finished work. I refused to unless I was paid up to date. This is when things went downhill very quickly. He snaped and told me by phone that he was finished with me, not exactly in those words and he would not recommend me to any other people. I did go there very late one night to find a boiler problem and his plumber came also. His plumber set him straight and told him where the difficulty was. He does not mention this in his complaint. The total cost of the job was not $16,500 either but around $11,000. I made very little on this job for myself. The kitchen cabinets and counter top were around $8,000. I did not leave garbage behind. As far as quotes go I gave him a range of 3-5 days and was charging him per day. I went days beond my caped date of five and he complained that I was going to the five days. If he weren't so cheap and did not think that the world owed him a living and respected me and my work and were able to understand the fine contracting work and value that I gave to him, his mother and house and paid me properly, then everything would be fine now. Member works as a lawyer with a partner. The partner is the best. I don't know Member's lawyer ability in his field but if it were me, I would not want a person working for me that can lie like he does. Some people will eventually see through this and this might be a jury.
