SCAFFIDI'S PAVING & DRAINAGE INC

On July 15, 2016 I received an updated Estimate/Bid from Scaffidi’s Paving & Drainage, 34 North Route 9W, West Haverstraw NY to rip up and replace my existing driveway. The total amount of the job was for $2,190. On July 30, 2016 I mailed in a deposit check for $900. One week later I called and spoke to Tom to confirm that my check was received and approximately when I could expect work to begin. I was told by Tom, that he did receive my check and that work should begin in approximately 4 to 5 weeks. In mid September, after not hearing from Scaffidi, I called and spoke to Tom. He stated that due to the weather they were backed up and he hoped to get the job started in a few weeks. In mid October, after not hearing from Scaffidi, I called and spoke to Tom. He stated that he would not be able to get to this job this paving season. He did offer to mail back my deposit check. However, after further discussion, it was decided by both of us, that he would hold onto the check and do the job in the spring. On May 01, 2017 I contacted Scaffidi, and spoke with Tom. I told him that I would like to proceed with the job. He confirmed that he did have my estimate and check and stated that he would contact me in about 4 weeks to start the work. On June 14, 2017 after not hearing from Scaffidi, I called and spoke to Tom. He said he could not locate my paperwork and would have to call me back. On June 15, 2017 I received a voicemail message from Tom, stating that due to the cost of materials the price of the job would increase by $200. I then called Tom, he stated that he would not do the job for the original estimate/bid. I told him I know longer wish to do business with him and I wanted my deposit check mailed back to me. He agreed to do so. As of July 20, I still have not yet received my deposit check back.

Excellent job not home when job done.

My initial request was for a partial repair of part of the driveway. They recommended a complete driveway replacement since other areas were cracking and use of heavy equipment would most likely cause further damage.

They did a good job. It wasn't the greatest, but it was good. It was subcontracted.

Mr Scaffidi always returned my phone calls. First they widened the driveway with gravel. Then there were many rain delays before he could complete the work. When they put down the asphalt, they were neat and very careful not to disturb my plants around the driveway. I am very pleased with the results.

THEY CAME AND DID THE JOB, AND THEY DID IT WELL. THAT IS GOOD WITH ME. THEY CAME AND DID IT, AND THAT WAS IT. I SENT THEM THE CHECK, AND THEY WERE DONE. THE QUALITY WAS OUTSTANDING.

HE WAS EXCELLENT. I CALLED THE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT, AND THEY RECOMMENDED HIM. I CALLED HIM, AND ONE WEEK LATER I HAD MY DRIVEWAY DONE. THE PRICE WAS RIGHT. THEY WERE PUNCTUAL AND VERY NEAT. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH FOR THESE PEOPLE.
