Description of Work: The handyman attached a metal mailbox to stone wall, patched and painted a few holes on wooden parts of the house, changed wooden planks around perimeter of the patio door, attached a protective net to dryer machine exhast pipe, removed three outdoor lights from the patio, covered 2' hole in the ground the an animal dug out.

Description of Work: If you know old houses with full basements ... they have small windows with 2 panes of glass - maybe 10x18 inches each. | |I needed to replace 2 cracked panes (I've done this myself - but did not have the time). The handyman deal (2 hrs for cost of 1) looked perfect. | |Contacting Jireh ... I explained the job - and he said ... "oh sorry, I do not want to mislead you, we do not cut glass!" I have had many handymen work for us over the years - and I have never had anyone refuse to do such a simple job - plus refuse to come to the house to see what is needed (the vendor was only 10 minutes away}. | |The bottom line is that these people are not handymen. They also struggled to speak English. | |Stay away! | |I cannot say enough good things about Angie's List support - they refunded the full deal.

Description of Work: The actual service provided of taking out the paneling and toilet in a small half bath was completed very quickly and efficiently. The man that did the work was very nice as was the owner. Unfortunately, I found out after the fact, that while the work was being done, someone either must have stood on or something fell on the water main valve that came into the house in the small half-bath in which our work was being done. This caused the valve to bend in such as way that it is was not able to be turned off completely. I had previously had a dishwasher installed which required the water main to be turned off the week prior and all was fine. Then a week or so after this work was performed, I was having a new sink and vanity installed and the same person that installed the dishwasher found the water main valve was bent and he was unable to shut the water main off completely where he was easily able to do so on his prior visit. I have now had to have that repaired at a cost of $350. I am extremely disappointed that it was not mentioned to me when it occurred and it was easily visible that something had happened. I have now spent $350 additional dollars as a result of this.
