After owning our home for a number of years but never using the fireplace, we decided to get it inspected and cleaned. We orginally called another company to complete the sweep, but when he did the inspection he found an issue. He provided the Chimney Doctor as a referral to complete the work. I called and within hours, someone was at the house and providing a quote. He discussed the options, and provided different options to meet our needs. He also let us know other issues that could be present and prepared us for those costs. The repair and level 3 inspection went well. They were prompt and clean. Only the basics needed to be completed but after discussing some other options, they will be providing a second quote for some additional work. We would not hesistate to refer them or have them return to complete additional work in our home.

Serviceman called before he came. He was ahead of schedule and that was actually better for both of us. He was thorough, professional and pleasant. He also cut down a pipe that needed to be angled differently as he had the time. If not, I would have had to call another company to come in at a much higher price. Excellent experience, would hire them again. Felt he was honest, and that is very important. Highly recommend them to others.

After a negative experience with several local wood stove dealers, we purchased a Woodstock soapstone stove directly from the factory(fantastic company) and needed someone to complete the installation. Of the chimney places I called, Tom was the most responsive and articulate about what was required. He called back when he said he would and arrived within a minute of when he said he'd arrive to provide an estimate. He was professional and neatly dressed. Importantly, of the guys that came to give estimates, he was the only one that inspected the chimney liner from both the bottom and the top. A common response from other firms who didn't even inspect the existing equipment was that since it was older (ie they didn't install it) it should be replaced. Tom was the only one that went on the roof and spent the time to evaluate what was there. He based his estimate on the actual condition of our existing pipes, etc. During installation, he did replace some components, but they were minor and specific to mating the stove to the chimney. Our stove was very heavy (812lbs) and I was concerned about damage to the floor and doors from man-handling it into the house. Tom's team of three put down heavy-duty drop cloths and scrap wood and treated our home with the same respect they would treat their own. The rest of the installation went well and we're very happy with the outcome and believe that Tom provided great value. The stove had not been delivered when he provided his estimate and the weight and complexity of the stove assembly was more than I think he expected. Even though I think he would have been justified to ask for more, he honored his original estimate. Now, almost two months later we've schedule him to come back and take a look at the chimney for a mid-season cleaning and suggestions on how to improve the draft, since our chimney is relatively short and uninsulated.

I called on Monday and they scheduled for 2:30 PM on Thursday. They later called and asked to move the 2:30 appointment to 3:00 PM, a 30 minute difference; no problem. They actually arrived before 3:00. I had purchased a new cleanout door previously, but thought it wouldn't fit. They performed the sweep quickly, but didn't have a cleanout door with them because they hadn't measured for size. They showed me how I coulld use the door I had purchased, and I opted to do that myself. They were VERY helpful and courteous.

They were prompt and professional. I chose them because they were the only ones to mention the flashing in their estimate. The came when they said they would come and did a professional job. I would use them again in the future.

Cintacted them and they came 5 days later. Diagnosed the problem quickly but did not have the damper with them. They asked if I wanted the chimney cleaned too. They didn't pressure me to have this done but I said yes as it had not been done for more than 5 years. They returned 6 days later and did the job in 20 minutes. They didn't make any mess and they were pleasant and professional. I have not used the fireplace yet but the damper seems to open and close fine. I don't know if the price I paid was good or not but I was putting it off because I thought it would cost more than $500.00 for a damper repair/replacement.

I called for an estimate in the morning, left a message and he returned my call the same day and came to my house the next day. Tom arrived several minutes early for the estimate and climbed up on my roof to take a closer look (only contractor that did that). He explained to me in detail exactly what repairs needed to be done, and answered all my questions. After he gave me the estimate I mentioned I found his name through Angies List and said had a 5% percent discount coupon on the Angies List website. They came promptly, did the job I asked, were polite, and left the house spotless.

The water heater is working better and I expect the properly sized liner to take care of any condensation issues.Unlike many contractors, these guys responded within a day to emails, calls etc. They answered the phone. A written estimate was provided the same day. They showed up on time to do the work, did the work, and cleaned up. These guys acted like professionals and know what they are doing

Very well. The men are very professional, courteous, responsive and responsible. They had no problems verifying that they hold current insurance coverage - something I am not comfortable hiring a company if they are reluctant to produce confirmation.

Chimney Doctor was prompt and professional.

The serviceman showed up, he took about two minutes to set-up. Did a quick look up the chase with a flashlight and then spent about 3 minutes sweeping. Barely anything came out, not even enough to clean-up. Overall time spent on sweep from set-up to finish was 10 minutes. He then spent 5 minutes looking at the chimney cap. Told me it would cost approximately $500 to replace. He said he would turn the information at the office and we would get a firm quote. We never heard back from them.

It went smoothly, from start to finish.

The part had to be ordered. He told us the cost of the part and saved us the cost of a visit to look at the problem.

We were very happy with them. They cleaned everything up afterthemselves and were very professional.

After I found this contractor on Angie's List, I emailed him. He quickly replied and gave me an estimate within the the next several days. He was very informative and thorough. He inspected the outside of the chimney, the inside for cracks, and the water damage in my kitchen. After I signed the estimate I gave him 1/2 down and he started work a few weeks later. It was a three day job. He had a scaffold system which didn't require any nailing into the roof. He had another worker working with him. They were punctual and courteous. Each day they did a nice job with clean up. The final result looks great. I feel like if there was ever an issue down the road he'd be quick to respond.

Work performed as planned. Appeared knowledgeable and cleaned up after himself. Overall very professional.

I chose them because of their experience and knowledge. The owner showed and gave very detailed and thorough explanation of what was going on and offered several solutions and recommendations.

Prompt, courteous, professional, clean, reasonable. Had smoke problems, couldn't use stove. Afterward, works fine. I've had two other sweeps in the past: Both did poor work, unprofessional, and over-priced. This guy was great. He's my man from now on.

They actually came to do the chimney inspection and cleaning. They determined that the chimney was in bad shape in the inspection and so did not do the cleaning. They were quite honest about it and did only the inspection. I contacted them through email and they got back to me pretty quickly. They gave me the price upfront and came when they said they would. They followed up with an estimate for the chimney repair. They were very prompt and answered a lot of my questions.

HE WAS VERY NEAT AND VERY PROMPT. IT TOOK ABOUT 3 DAYS. HE WOULD COME AND TAKE CARE OF WHATEVER HE NEEDED TO. HE WOULD DRAPE THINGS, SO THE MESS WOULDN'T GET ONTO THINGS. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND CONSCIENTIOUS. I'M GOING TO CONTINUE TO HIRE HIM TO SWEEP MY CHIMNEY. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYBODY.
