Chimney Doctors did a good job cleaning our chimney. They were very pleasant and we would use them again.

They were on time, friendly, and courteous. They expalined what repairs were needed, and when they needed to be done. I will call them for future repairs.

All technicians arrived promptly and got to work immediately. They layed down tarps and did an excellent cleaning of the chimeny. The technician also helped me to understand the proper use of the wood burning chimney as I am a first time homeowner. He also helped to secure the grating infront of the chimney which was loose. Excellent service and I will be using every year to have my chimney cleaned and any chimney work performed!

Very professional- the woman who called worked hard to find a convenient time for the cleaning. The service was thorough. The gentleman followed up soon after regarding his findings. Great work!

They arrived on time and were courteous, very neat and answered all questions. We discussed the pros and cons of cleaning the trap in the basement but I declined to have that done. I will use their services again.

After some negotiation of terms of payment the contractors price was approved for owner's check for the full amount upon completion. Then contractor's insurance agent sent us a then current certificate of insurance. Contractor arrived with two helpers and two company vehicles on agreed upon date, when the outside temperature was about five degrees F. The attitudes and workmanship, under these difficult conditions were excellent.

Very professional. Showed up 15 minutes early, kept me informed of process and was very friendly.

The service technician showed up and promptly went about cleaning the fireplace. He kept the surrounding area protected with a tarp. There was no noticeable excess soot or debris flying about. After cleaning the fireplace, he went on the roof to conduct the chimney inspection. The technician was courteous, polite, and thoroughly professional. This was a great experience!

The Chimney Doctors team was punctual, professional and thorough in all respects. Although the job required the breaking and removal of the old flue tiles, the work site was kept very clean and the job was completed in one day. Tom knows his business and ensured that the job was done properly. He even took care of small problems he noticed along the way without any additional charge, We were very happy with this contractor and plan to use him again for installation of a stove in another fireplace next year. He readily honored the Angie's List coupon.

They were great. They were very professional and even early to the job. The cost was less than we thought. They cleaned up wonderfuly after the job was done. I will use them again!!!

They did a great job. The two guys that came in were here all day. They showed up when they said they were gonna show up. They really did god work. I can’t say enough good things about them. Tom was fabulous. He showed up when he said he was gonna show up. The prices were what he said were gona be. He’s very polite. I had a very good experience with him. I was happy with the price. I didn’t know what it was going to be because I had no comparison. Because I paid him cash, he knocked off $150 so I thought that was really fair.

All work completed in timely fashion. Prompt and very professional. Explained what needed to be done to repair leaking chimney and why it should be done. Removed all debris from work areas and were very neat. Chimney no longer leaks at all.

Arrived on time. Worked diligently through hot day weather. Informative, communicative and polite. Tom G. the owner and his helper put in the time and skill and materials to earn the fee. Came with all first class equipment and materials.

In addition to the cleaning this season we had the chimney relined the season before. Professional, cleaned up after themselves inside. Also did masonry work on the chimney. (We did notice not as meticulous cleaning up the roof from the masonry work, but who looks at the roof?) Old pieces of chimney did fall after a heavy rain.

I have an ancient painted chimney that had begun to hold water & leaked into the fireplace, attic, wall & basement. After getting estimates from 3 contractors who disagreed with what was wrong, I had a new liner put in the chimney & some minor repointing done. The liner was installed very badly & did nothing to stop the leaks. I then joined Angie's List & called the Chimney Doctor. He came promptly & spent a significant amount of time inspecting, pointing out errors in the prior liner installation, giving me suggestions. I was impressed with his knowledge and sincerity. I hired him to do the repairs necessary & if that worked, hoped to have him install a wood stove. I also hired another contractor to repair the significant water damage to the side of the house. I had to coordinate his busy schedule with the other contractor, which delayed work for several days, but Tim was very helpful in keeping me informed & coming when he said he would. Unfortunately, when he returned the 2nd time, he forgot the 5" pipe and cap that he said he would provide to fix the prior liner installation. I paid him for the repairs & he agreed to come back again sometime & install the cap & repair the pipe. I haven't seen him since. More than that, the repairs have done nothing to stop the water coming into the house. The basement is still wet, there is still water in the fireplace & dampness in the mantle. I'm not saying he did bad or unnecessary work - but it didn't do anything to fix my problem. And he hasn't called to come back to fix the liner that he told me twice he would do.

I found this provider here on the List, and called them. I set up an estimate time, and they came and looked at the job . The estimate was emailed to me after we talked on the phone. Both my wife and I work, so it was convenient to do everything by email. Tom showed up on the scheduled day, and did a fine job. I can be picky, but the work, and the cleanup were just fine. I not hesitate to call Tom again for a chimney repair.

Not much to tell. All work was performed in one day and the contractor fully cleaned up after himself.

They cleaned our chimney, were careful not to dirty the place. Installation of damper was done quickly. Seems t owork fine.

When I called them, I mentioned that we needed a new cap for our chimney and would like an estimate. The initial person set up an appointment for an estimate. I got a call back later that evening saying they don't do estimates on caps as they are pretty standard and wanted to let me know what that would cost and make sure I still wanted them to come out. I appreciated this phone call, the cost was the same as others were telling over the phone and as I already had an appointment to have them come out, I went with them. The cost was a lot more reasonable than I thought it would be based on what friends thought. That's because what I really needed was the chase top, not a cap. When the gentleman showed up at the appointed time, he saw what was needed and said they would work up an estimate and get back to me. They got back with an estimate when they said. The chase top is a custom piece and would take a few days before it could be installed. It took a little longer than they said (just a couple days) but they had me approve it before placing it on and it is great!
