it went very well. Marty was on time. came & did the work. no problems at all. would definately use again.

Gutters were cleared but some debris was left on lawn.

I found them on Angie's List. He made an appointment, showed up on time and his price was right. He suggested the larger, rather than the smaller-sized gutters and showed the proper reason why we should buy that. He suggested gutter guard, the little screen things that go on top, because we have a lot of trees in the area. He justified the reason for it and the price he was charging. The price was very reasonable. We did about 70 feet worth of gutter work, removed the old and installed the new with new caps and everything else at under $700.

It went very good. No problems, no complaints or anything like that. He was very good. Everybody has been really good. They came when they said they were going to come, did what they said they were going to do and they were very pleasant when they were here. With all the ice and snow this year, I got no problems. Everything is still there. I have neighbors whose gutters are coming down. The ones that he put up for me is still there. They've survived.

Estimate was fair, came down 5% on the price for senior citizen. We were delayed for a while due to weather constantly backing up their calendar. One guy performed the work and it took a few hours. Installer was clean and arrived promptly. My only objections are these: we ended up paying a higher price because the installer believed we needed an extra downspout or two, and he was also able to equip a part of the roof with a gutter and downspout that was previously left out because it would be too difficult to equip it with a gutter. Installer could do it and it cost extra. Finally, when the installation above my deck was happening, the roof can actually be reached by hand because it's not too high. Even with a ladder I watched as the tech stood on the railing of my brand new deck to reach something, right beside his assembled ladder. As a result of this I think he may have damaged a spindle because it is bent. I see this as negligent and disrespectful, he used a ladder for 99% of the job except for one corner perfectly accessible. Great reviews on Angie's list is why I chose him. Ilene in the Babylon office is very nice and flexible. I'd still recommend although I'll be taking up the deck issue with the owner, Gary.

Everything was pretty good with them. They did a good job. It was okay.

Was very pleased with the work and the estimate, which was literally 20% of the quote from another Angie's List provider. When I asked if certain work was necessary I was told no, versus the other provider who told me all the extra work that should be done to spruce things up. My only frustration was the scheduling, as they cannot give a solid appointment, making it difficult when you need approval from your boss to take off from work. When I called the office to find out why the crew showed up without a phone call, it was pretty obvious there is a disconnect in scheduling. If you can get past that, you are home free. As I said, the work was great. Crew was knowledgable and helpful. Neighbors also commented on the job.

I had estimated this job in the spring, and never followed through with it. I called back in September, and Elaine at the office pulled up the old estimate - I added gutters for the shed on, and gave them the go-ahead. Got the contract via email, signed and faxed it back, and they were there the next day! Did a great job - everything needed and expected. Definitely recommend The Gutter Guy to anyone who needs gutters!

First Contact: I called after hours and left a voice mail message with my contact information and that I found them via Angies List. Second Contact: After two days with no call back, I called again during office hours. I left my request for a gutter estimate with their office person. I got a call back from Dave (estimator?). We arranged a time for him to come to the house for the estimate. He ended our conversation with "Don't forget to be there." Third Contact: or lack thereof: No one from Gutter Guy turned up at the appointed hour. After 1/2 hour waiting, I texted Dave with a reminder. Fourth Contact: About 2 hours later I got a voice mail message from the owner Gary saying he had just heard from Dave about a missed estimate appointment. He apologized and said he would make it up to me. Conclusion: Customer service issues. No-Shows are a deal breaker for me.

They installed all as expected. Even went the extra and used different connectors to tie into my drywell drains. Everything drains empty after rain no low spots excellent ! The down side , if you have a brick or stone home. . . they use a Remington/ramset to shoot the nails through the straps into the brick to secure the leaders. Not cosmetically appealing . . .nails half sticking out with orange rings around them that are impossible to remove to replace with anchors and screws the way it should have been done. .

The Gutter Guy kept stalling me and saying next week .After 6 weeks of waiting I had enough and called another company.

I wasn't available during that Saturday because I went to my girl's recital and he actually stood an hour waiting for me to get back. I thought that was very nice of him. He answered all my questions and he said he was going to work on getting me on schedule sooner rather than later. It just happened that I got a call the following day and in two days, they came out to replace the gutters. I thought the price was reasonable and I even thought it was going to be more expensive. The gutters are still up and water's flowing directly through it and I don't see anything overflowing. So far, it has been good. They were very professional. The guys who put it up had questions and they replaced some items that were rotted. They were able to give me options of what I could and could not do.

Our first contact with The Gutter Guy was with their Office Manager, Elaine. She set up an appointment for the owner, Gary Zarza, to come to my house and scope out the job. Gary showed up at the appointed time and measured, diagramed and photographed the prospective job. He is a very nice person. He explained the options for five or six inch gutters and rectangular or round leaders. Gary also explained that they use top grade Aluminum in the thickest gauge available. Their gutters are all seamless. I asked Gary about the difference between 5" and 6" gutters along with a bunch of other questions. Gary patiently answered all of my questions and recommended options for placement of the leaders to disguise their presence as much as possible. Previously the house was sided with white vinyl and it had 5" gutters and the common rectangular leaders. In the remodel we are going to a Cypress colored shingle and we are using a ton of Certainteed Vinyl "Restoration Millwork" (all very pricey) so the last thing I wanted to do was end up with common pedestrian gutters. Gary explained that from an esthetic point of view, the 6" gutters would look the best because they would fill the entire 6" facia. He also explained that the 6" gutters would be more efficient in removing the largest quantities of rain water and even minor debris so they were the best option from a practical standpoint. Finally, Gary suggested that round leaders would enhance the old fashioned look that our remodel was attempting to capture. When we were done, Gary said that they would provide a proposal that would contain several options: (1) 5" gutters with 2" x 3" rectangular leaders (what we had on the house from our 1991 remodel); (2) 6" gutters with oversized 3"x 4" rectangular leaders; and (3) 6" gutters with 4" round smooth leaders. All options were in White. We opted for the third option which was approximately $600 more expensive than option #1. After the proposal was selected, signed and returned, Elaine advised us to call to schedule installation about a week before the house was ready for the gutter installation. We did so and a two week window for the installation was created. Two days before The Gutter Guy was ready to perform the installation, we received a call from Elaine who advised when Gary's crew would show up. At the appointed time on the appointed day (8/6/14) Gary's two man crew showed up and installed the 6" gutters and round 4" leaders. The installation took about four hours from beginning to completion. Gary's crew handled the clean up and they were neat as a pin in expertly fabricating and installing the seamless 6" gutters. They made some adjustments in placing some of the leaders to account for prospective placement of security cameras. All of the white round leaders were placed against the white Certainteed vinyl 6" Super Corners. Gutters and leaders were installed using hidden brackets. The best part: THE INSTALLATION LOOKS FABULOUS !!!!!!!!! I actually stood in front of my house admiring the look of the gutters and leaders for more than a half hour. The installation looks architecturally impressive and substantial and also totally natural at the same time. The leaders are virtually masked by their placement against the white vinyl Super Corners. My wife and I are so happy that we opted for the 6" gutters and the round 4" leaders. The higher cost is money well spent . In fact, I believe this enhances the value of our house. The Gutter Guy (Gary Zarza, Elaine and the two man crew that handled the installation) was an absolute pleasure to work with and I will, without reservation, recommend their service to my friends and neighbors. The Gutter Guy more than lived up to its well deserved Angie's List reputation. I can't wait for it to rain !!!

Spoke to assistant who answered the phone and was nice enough. She advised that Gary would call. Days later he did and I promptly returned his message. I heard back a week later with another message that we were "playing phone tag." After another message, Phil called me to come out and provide a quote, never happened. Was told with each message that they are very busy, which I understand and get but I wasted weeks of rain with a broken gutter waiting on the top rated service provider to at least give a quote. At the end of the day glad it worked out this way, had a great experience with another Angie's List service provider, Mister Gutter.

Everything went fine. He was nice and courteous and very professional. The products used are good quality and I was very satisfied!

Gary was extremly professional , and courteous during every single interaction . Unfortunately based on the 800.00 price for a gutter repair , just did not seem within the correct ballpark . I will get a few more quotes now .Again , I want to emphasize how courteous and responsive Gary was, just to be fair .

The workers showed up on time and completed the job in a timely fashion.They cleared and took away all debris from the old gutters and leaders.Several suggestions were made to make sure the gutters worked properly.It took about 4 hours and the job looked great.Martin, one of the owners, came by to look at the completed job, and to be sure all that I wanted was done to my liking, which it was.I would recommend this company to anyone wanting a great job. .

It was unfortunate but these guys were not doing work in my area even though Angie's list sent me their way. I gave them an a rating because they were very professional about the way they handled me. Gary sent me an email letting me know I was too far away however, he also told me that he would possibly come to me on a Saturday if I sent him a few pictures . I thought Gary handled me like a try professional that was busy in his own area. I would suggest that if this crew is in your area that you don't hesitate to use them as I was a customer they knew they couldn't do work for and took time out of their busy schedule to give me a few suggestions .

Called us back within 5 hours. Price much higher than going rate. Will not be using them.

CONTRACTOR WAS ON TIME, PROFESSIONAL & COURTEOUS. HE REPAIRED MY PROBLEM AND WAS VERY REASONABLE WITH WHAY HE CHARGED ME. I WOULD DEFINETLY USE HIM AGAIN.

It took longer than expected for provider to obtain the dark brown gutter we needed, but once it arrived, the installation was quick and smooth.

Scheduling was very easy and he came very quickly and promptly for the estimate. Communication via email was very convenient. They were quick, efficient and did a great job. There was an issue with the gutter bending machine that I noticed when I was putting my gutter guards in one area but I figured a way around it with plyers. The price was outstanding.

After initial call to the company, Gary the owner came by to give the estimate to replace gutters and downspouts within a day or two. Price was good and beat the estimate from a large gutter company. Called to schedule the work which was somewhat difficult. Gary could not commit to a date or time. I called a second time to schedule the work and left a message to which I received no response. The work was never scheduled. A week or so later, the crew showed up unannounced and began work while I was not home. Fortunately, my wife was. The job was completed in less than a day. The crew was good and the work appears to be high quality (been several months with a lot of snow this winter and no issues). Crew accepted a partial payment (again, they showed up unannounced so we were not ready with full payment). We promptly called the company to arrange for the balance of payment to be picked up. No one was available so a message was left. A second message was left a few days later. We received no response to either message. In March (several months after work was complete) we finally heard from Gary asking about balance of payment via voicemail. After returning his call and leaving several messages for Gary and speaking with his assistant, we still have not heard back from Gary. While the crew was good and the work affordable and appears to be high quality, the miscommunication throughout this process has be frustrating to say the least. In fact, after contacting Gary numerous times to arrange for the balance of payment to be made over several months, I received a call from his assistant reminding me that I had an outstanding balance due, as though no attempts were made to make payment.

I spoke with the owner twice on one day. When I initially called for service he assured me that if the men out in my area couldn't come over that day he himself would come by to take a look. When no one came by that day I called again to speak with the owner. He seemed annoyed that I called again but told me that he is making a schedule for the week and would call me with the info. Two days later I still did not receive any info. So I called again and spoke with the receptionist only to be told that none of my info. Was given to her. She claimed that when her boss returned to the office she would call me and give me the info. about when someone would come to my house. Needless to say I still have not received that phone call. I also contacted Gary on the company website and asked for a reply. I am still waiting and will not hold my breathe for a response. I have used this company before and was very satisfied with the work. I will never use them again nor would I recommend them.
