Details above. I have always had great luck with all of the people we have hired from Angie's List. This person had something going on that he would ever dare scream at a customer because they asked to provide proof by going on the roof and detailing the damage. A true DISGRACE that you continue to list him. Customers beware. We are older and he may have thought he could strong arm us into agreeing to whatever he claimed with proof or documentation.

I had a bad experience with another roofer which led to leaking skylights. I called Leak Stoppers and was able to set up an appointment rather quickly. John came out, looked at the skylight from the inside and then hopped on the roof for a few minutes. He came back with a detailed estimate and several pictures of the issues he found. John was able to diagnose the skylight leak. He also informed me that my bathroom fans weren't vented through the roof as they should be (just blowing moist air into the attic), pointed out deficient chimney flashing, a cracked chimney crown, and questioned whether my soffits were properly vented. In addition to the diagnosis, he gave me a quote for full repair of all issues, as well as a separate quote for stop-gap repairs if it wasn't in my budget to fix everything now. We went ahead with all repairs. The work was scheduled quickly and his team was very efficient and professional (they even took their shoes off when they came in the house). No issues with the quality of the repairs. 10/10 would recommend these guys. The peace of mind is great to have back. My house is dry, and John was able to help remedy some other problems that would certainly come back to bite me in the future if they weren't addressed. This guy is a pro.

They did a quick and clean job and eliminated our leaks. The new skylights do not leak at all. They were courteous, professional and punctual.

John was here on a Friday and his men came on Monday! They were professional and completed the job the same day. They had to remove some siding, insulation and trim. The replaced sheathing as needed. They installed an ice/water shield . They reinstalled insulation, vinyl trim and gutter. They had to build out two fascias and add aluminum edge flashing. and capping to get fresh air into the attic to eliminate rot, premature roof expiration and ice formation. They installed a bathroom exhaust flange with duct. They reshingled one section.. They gave me the above itemized list of what they did. I wish all my projects went so efficiently.

Did not fix leak but told me it may not work

This is the 2nd time we hired leak stoppers for 2 unrelated problems. Both times we were completely satisfied.We highly recommend leak stoppers and would not hesitate to hire them again if the need arises.

He is a pro and a salesman rolled into one. Owner of the company. Inspected roof, thought he found issue with troublesome leak and made three repair recommendations. Each one more expensive and with more coverage. not sure i needed any of them. Said thanks and repaired the flashing myself. i get it... he is busy and a lot of people are not smart. he was easygoing and professional. I simply didnt need the sales push..

The team of workers were quick and professional. They did a swift job and cleaned up after the job. So far, so good. No leak.

I've used them previously for roof repair which turned out to be a loose nail that when banged in fixed my leak - i will continue to call them in the future - very reliable and trust worthy - i did not have to be at home either - they came and did everything and then called me when the job was done

Leak stoppers were detailed,prompt,clean and professional

John was professional and pleasant and carefully inspected property. He developed theories for the cause of water leaks and proposed solutions. He spent over an hour inspecting and pointing out issues and followed up with a detailed service proposal. We will probably use his co. for repairs.

I had a appointment with Leak Stoppers for tonight. Today i called to explain i have had 5 roofers come out and asked what their ball park price for our Cape would be. I explained nicely i did not want to waste their time or mine if they didn't think they'd be around the 5 other quotes. After a 10 min hold the front desk girl came back to explain that OBVIOUSLY i am looking for a cheap price and not quality so they agreed that it would be best not to come. She said"you can tell by their Angie listing they are the top of the roofing business and that the price would be higher then others because of how amazing Qw are". We are not looking for a CHEAP roofer we are looking for a great roofer whose prices aren't astronomical. Also we have been in the hospital for the last 2 months fighting for our daughters life that passed away where we received a lot of medical bills, so asking a round about of price is not being cheap. The way the front desk and how she said the manager instructed her to speak is disgusting. There are 100s of good roofers on Long Island, I would suggest going else where. -After seeing this mans review, I am now sure people will choose someone else. Responding to a woman who just lost her child with such arrogant response of how amazing you are. I really hope your never put in a situation where you spend months fighting for your child's life. We actually picked the most expensive roofer we saw because of his quality so I wouldn't assume anything.

Leakstoppers was very helpful in identifying the issue for the small leak we had over the winter (thankfully was not a roof issue but caused by the crazy amount of ice build-up on the roof) and explained the reasons for the issue and a couple of solutions for fixing. Would recommend them and use them again if required.

Haven't decided whether or not to use him or do the work needed.

John is simply THE BEST leak stopper out there, bar NONE!!! He has address several major leak issues at our home, which haunted us for years as we tried to get a company to honor their warranty on a brand new roof (!!!). Ultimately, I decided to cut my losses and went elsewhere. I called John @ Leak Stoppers, since he was the #1 option on Angies List. Since that time, John has fixed leak issues in our home, both on a flat and pitched roofs, and we've never had issues again in those areas. He stands behind his work, while being backed himself by an impeccable reputation. He does not pull punches, tells you how it is. He is not into haggling, knows his stuff and what his work is worth. Leak Stoppers impressed me so much so, that I recommended him to my Church ($2,000,000 building) who ultimately did use him as well and was thoroughly impressed. We had used several companies and spent loads of $$ trying to fix flat roof leak issues. Though it took a few trips (we knew it would), Leak Stoppers has now made our church virtually leak free! John does not try to upsell you (i.e. "You need a new roof"). He provides his customer several options and does not pressure you into choosing one over the other, it's completely your choice. However, he does do a great job of laying out the advantages of each option so that you can make an educated decision. Lastly he prioritizes his returning customers. I once called him in a pinch. His automated answer machine advised that due to the inclement weather which had plagued our area during that season he was backed up about a month!!! However, after leaving the message, John quickly called me back and fit me in in a timely manner. He advised me that he always takes care of his returning customers. After that, I was sold on John's integrity. Don't waste your time and money, John is the best option!!!

Very professional and clean

It went very well, John, the owner, came and he was very professional, very informative and spent a the necessary time to explain things and answer all my questions. I will definitely be using him and his company in the future for my roofing project, even though his price is higher, I believe the quality of the work will be worth it.

Water was coming into our house so I called leak stoppers. Very prompt they came the next day and gave me an estimate on 3 possible solutions. They came the next day and fixed the problem. Prompt, cleaned up their work area and did it all with fair reasonable price. Would not hesitate in recommending Leak stoppers to anyone.

Professional and honest. No further leaks. Highly recommend.
