I saw this company got great reviews. So I decided to hire them to do a small roof repair on my home. I made an appointment with a lady on the phone. She asked me to send a picture of the problem with my roof. I did not want to bother getting the ladder out again and she advised me they charge a $80 something dollar fee to come out. I said that I didn't care about the fee and that they were hired due to their great reviews here on Angie's list. I told them quite explicitly ... come ANY AFTERNOON EXCEPT TOMORROW. I also said that if they can't come at that time to just call and I will make it my business to get home to meet them at a more convenient time for them. SO ...... They show up at 8:00 or 9:00 something in the morning ... without any call ... they go on the roof and can't find the issue. It is small but it is obvious to me. They told my wife they can't find it and she of course has no idea what to tell them. The whole point was for me to be there to point out the issue. So ... the guys tell my wife they will be back at 1:00 ... which is fine for me. HOWEVER ... my wife calls the office to confirm that they are coming back and the lady says they will not come back. She says that she did not have any notes in her computer saying that they were supposed to come in the afternoon. She says they are busy and can't send anyone back today and to tell me to call back and reschedule. WELL .... good thing I didn't leave work early and not have them show up. Listen ... I could understand if I were being difficult .... but I told them "ANY DAY IN THE AFTERNOON". Now I have to find another roof guy to fix my roof. I told them ... "I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE MONEY - JUST COME AND FIX MY ROOF - I DON'T NEED AN ESTIMATE - JUST COME ANY DAY IN THE AFTERNOON EXCEPT TOMORROW." Can you get an easier customer than that?? Well they don't have me as a customer. It was like begging them to take my money and they refused. I just don't get people. I get that people get busy and mistakes happen ..... how about you apologize and reschedule?

I waited 6 months before writing a review due to the nature of leaks. The work performed by Leak Stoppers was top notch. Amazing customer service. Cleaning communication on job and what would be done. Fair cost. And great commitment to work. I recommend them to family and friends.

Finally, properly repaired by an expert! Several others tried & failed to do a proper repair. If the occasion were to arise, I would not hesitate to call Leak Stoppers again. The price was fair, and the workers polite & efficient.

OMG!! John is amazing! I called, he came to the house very quickly for an estimate, told me in 3 seconds what kind of skylights I had, what the problem was, and what was needed to be done to fix them. John is an extremely honest guy, who recognizes that sometimes some issues are expensive and will give you ALL of your options so you can make the decision that's best for you. In the end, I had him change two skylight tops, even though he said I could get away with doing one of them for a little while, and the others he sealed again with silicone. He even told me about a spot on my roof, that I didn't even know about, and he had that fixed. The price was very fair, the job was done quickly, and no leaks since. Here is the deal-if you are having ANY leak problems having to do with your roof or skylights, THIS is the man to call!! If I had known about him years earlier, I would have had him do my entire roof. It's not leaking, but at least I would have been confident that I had chosen the best company for the job.

Leak Stoppers came and were very responsive. Workers arrived on time and performed all work in a clean and professional way. After the work was completed and we had a rainfall, it was noticed that there was a small leak in the area where the work was performed. After contacting Leak Stoppers, they returned the next day and repaired the issue. So far, it looks like everything is OK

John was very knowledgeable and explained what he thought was going on very well. The first fix went well, the bedroom closet was fixed and the living room ceiling. Although, as a result of the fix and no fault of leak stoppers, condensation started building up because of the new vents and poor design of my roof. (The vents were isolated and didn’t vent to begin with. JOHN came back found the problem and removed the vents completely and placed roofing new roofing instead. And best of all the follow up fix was free. Now it’s been 3 months and no more leaks! If you have a leak call leak stoppers, you won’t be disappointed.

Very well. The owner, John, responded promptly to my purchase of a roof inspection. He had his very amiable and hard working employees, Selvin and Jonathan, to my house as soon as was mutually convenient. They worked quickly and neatly sealing the holes popped nails they discovered. Upon completion they reviewed their work with me. I am completely satisfied with their service.

Submitted 3 days they could come for inspection, They never responded but did charge my credit card for the inspection.

Competitive price but not the lowest bid.

Cleaned and repaired. Even gave 5 year warranty on it. Hasn't leaked a drop since they came. Honest guy, gave us realistic expectations of our skylight, and was able to fix it.

The workers were diligent in their task. Rotted wood was replaced and completely new roof installed. New gutters and downspout installed. Cleaned up all debris.

John was very knowledgeable and quickly established the cause of the leak (upstairs window) not roof.....the problem was rectified later that week. Windows were caulked and looks like no more leaking!

I think I answered this question in my first answer. I would highly recommend using Leak Stoppers. They are a very professional company, the men knew what has to be done and did it. We've had a lot of rain and wind and I am proud to say-- no leaks of any kind.

I called him for an estimate and he spent 15 minutes trash talking his competition. He was foul mouthed and degraded other roofers (not by name, just in general). Throws the F bomb around quite a bit and never met me. He also hung up on me when I explained I could not hire someone like him. I explained openly why I was not comfortable with him. Might be a good roofer but very rude.

There was a slight delay because of weather, but after that it went well.

Very professional. Cannot say if the problem has been solved, because it has not rained since the repair was done. Everyone involved was polite & efficient. Clean-up was excellent. John did a great job explaining what he believed to be the problem, and what our options were.

It went very well. John showed up when he said he would and gave us a thorough analysis of my roof and what would be needed to repair my leaking skylight. We hired him to do the repair as well as other work. He was honest and knowledgeable.

Leaks returned and caused more damage. The owner was abusive and yelled at me. Would not warranty work. Poor workmanship. Do not hire this company who abuses senior citizens.
