It went just like they said . He gave me an estimate, did the repairs and no problems.

They were on time and the price was right. They did a good job! It was a total of $6000 for the two jobs.

After contacting a couple of roofers that specialized in Flat Roofing. I called Leak Stoppers. They had put the roof on approx. 6 years ago. The gentleman said I was still under guarantee, I said "great" Meantime I am in Florida. He said he would not charge the customary $85.00 service call, because they had installed the roof. I said "great" He went out to inspect the roof and found the roof was not leaking but some flashing came up. The person that met him there said it took all of 5 minutes to put some sealant in the opening. He then called me up and said it would be a charge of $250.00 After I advised him I had some other estimates that were that much money that involved much more work, he decided he would give me a senior citizen discount of $50.00 making the price $200.00. Quoting in a nasty tone that it took time to drive there and there was gas costs etc. First, he never called me when he got there to get permission to go ahead with the sealant at that price! 2nd I am happy the leak was fixed, however I feel I was totaly taken advantage of. If that is the way to do business, I don't think many people would stay in business. I am shocked Angie's List would have a business man such as him in their list of recommendations!

Second time using them. They came and fixed leak around woodstove pipe. I was away when they came and they were Kind enough to leave the bill.

John, the ownerwas great. He gave me two prices one covered an obvious problem and another for additional work if the problems were not completely solved. The first job fixed one of the leaks but not the other so he came back to complete the work. I was impressed that the scope of the work performed went past the area of the leak to be sure the entire flat roof was tight. The crews were polite and willingly explained why they were doing when I asked. They worked neatly and cleaned up all debris.

John was very professional and provided me (2) estimates. A low cost "fix" option as I recently lost my job and a complete redo of the sections for a higher cost. Since I only had the roof put on 2 1/2 years ago, I opted to call the original installer as the work was done inaccurately by them. They came and redid the roof for me. I did not have to use Leak Stoppers, Inc. for the actual work. I would recommend Leak Stoppers, Inc. to anyone who has a roof leak. If it wasn't that I had recently had the roof done and had issues, I would have used John and his team to fix the problems. Highly Recommend Leak Stoppers, Inc.

The owner of the business came to speak with me directly. He was punctual and very knowledgeable. He discussed the details of how he would proceed with the installation and how his installation would be superior to any other. I have gotten a number of other estimates for the same job. Leak Stoppers was at the high end. I have to go with the best work that I can find in a price range that makes sense for me and my budget.

He arrived at my house and immediately began to rip the house apart (a brand new $1mm house). He tried hard, or maybe that was the problem it came some easy and natural to him that he wanted to set me in my place and bully or impress me with his knowledge about temperature differentials and heat loss into attics, which causes ice damns. He went further and said we may have to rip the hole house apart...really? Of course he had to proceed to tell me how smart he is, that he went to college for this stuff and is no ordinary roofer and no one does it as good as him. Honestly, I dont care if this guy is the best Leak Stopper in the world, he is not working on my house.

He came and did a great job. I had no complains at all. He took care of everything and I'm very happy. They're clean. They were efficient and they were well-priced. They were here when they said they're going to be here and did exactly what they're going to do.

The work went very well, these guys are excellent. They are hard working, very clean and respectful of our home. They kept us informed as the work progressed and I would not hesitate to use them again.

We developed a skylight leak over New Year's weekend. Using Angie's list I called about 15 roofers. Not only did Leak Stoppers follow-up, they called back within an hour of the call-Sunday of New Year's weekend--during which it was pouring! They were great in advising me on handling the immediate situation and scheduled the analysis and repair. Further, before the work could be done, a snow storm hit and they arranged for roof shoveling in order to avoid the snow from icing which would have spread into the weak spots once it melted. (for the record, we only received reply calls from 3 of the 15 or so, which is a whole other problem.) They incorporated that service into the overall skylight replacement. Also they caulked all outside windows since two other leaks had developed. The total cost came out to be slight more than I had hoped, but was very much reasonable for a borderline emergency job in the middle of this nightmare of a winter. The real selling point of Leakstoppers is their service. They are so responsive and treat you the way a customer should be treated, not like "they are doing you a favor by finding time to show up " the way so many contractors act. I would absolutely recommend without hesitation.

To be honest, we received another estimate that was considerably lower. However, we were so impressed with John's knowledge and the time he took to explain exactly what needed to be done, that we decided to go with his company. The men were here 11 hours. and they worked diligently and neatly. We were very pleased with the results. As my husband says, you get what you pay for! I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

Everything went great. John was able to meet me on a saturday to look at the job and give me a price. about two weeks later, I scheduled the job and had the job completed. They did a whole bunch of stuff to stop three skylights from leaking & gave me a guarantee on it as well. Everyone was on time and worked the whole day through, no questions asked. I am a very happy customer.

They were excellent in both work and price. Another company wanted about $1000 to do the same job. They were very professional. The owner came and went up on the roof with a camera. He took pictures where the shingles were dead. The next day the workers came and did what they had to do. Everything was fine. He came the next day after I called and was on time.

I recently purchased a home and the first week I was in the house we had a leak in our den. I contacted several roofing companies who would only replace the roof. As I just purchased the home I really did not want to have to lay out several thousand dollars for a new roof. John came by and looked at the problem and proposed a solution including moving my dryer vent and adding an additional vent to keep the temperature in the attic down. He advised the cause of the leak was likely an ice d*** resulting from the warmer attic air. His price was reasonable and the leak has not reoccured. While I hope to not need his services again, I wouldn't hesitate to call him again.

Yesterday afternoon (3/29/14) we had a leaky skylight and called Leak Stoppers after close of business. We did have our general handyman make an emergency stop on Saturday night to caulk the outside of the skylight as a quick fix, just so water would stop coming into my living room, and he wanted no more than $28 for doing so. On Sunday morning at 10, John promptly called back, and that is the end of the positive part of this review. I told John that it was no longer an emergency, as we had someone come out and caulk the outside to stop the leak, and before I could finish my sentence to say that I would still like to set up an appointment, he cut me off and said *well, that guy ripped you off". I told him I don't think he ripped me off because he barely charged any money, and attempted to explain, but John again cut me off, now nearly shouting, and saying "no no no no no, listen, you need a new skylight", even though he had never come out to look at it in the first place. He also told me that he "never uses caulk to fix a skylight", and he somehow thought I was complaining about his prices even though I never even asked what his prices were. I really couldn't believe, based on the reviews here, that he was responding in this way, so I continued to try to explain my situation, which included my understanding that what was done the prior night was a quick fix, and that we need someone to come look at it for something more permanent. However, he again cut me off, telling me that he had been "on the phone all morning, so I am going to have to make this short and sweet," that it would be $85 for an initial consultation, and he asked if I wanted to set up an appointment. In the middle of my answer that, because of the way he spoke with me, I was going to look into other companies, he hung up on me. John, if you read this, I can appreciate that you had to deal with alot of calls during this rain, and I am sure your services are very good. But I can guarantee you that I will never use your company because of the way you spoke to me this morning. You were incredibly rude and unprofessional. I don't understand how you can think that speaking that way to a potential customer could possibly be good for your business.
