We had about five or six estimates done for the gas conversion shortly after purchasing our first home. Joe Ludwig had the best price and seemed the most competent. Two of his guys arrived early in the morning and worked for about 12 hours straight. They were very friendly and did beautiful work. Joe showed up towards the end of the day to check on everything. The only negative thing I can say is that during the process (which took a few months due to permits for the village and town) he was sometimes a bit hard to get a hold of or was too quick with phone calls. I would definitely hire them again, though.

Quick diagnostic and purchased new piece and completed job in 1 and half hours .

The team that did that work was at my house literally all day to complete the work, but they were still friendly and smiling in the evening when they finished. They took the time to explain how everything worked and wrote down certain details for me to keep handy. They also filed the papers I needed for energy efficiency rebates that are offered with the purchase of new heating furnaces. One of the guys even went above and beyond by grout-filling a hole in the wall around the furnace venting to keep pests from getting in! And when I had a problem with the heater in one of the rooms, Joe came out during a weekend to check what was causing the issue (a broken thermostat).

Woke up one cold night/morning with no heat on my second floor and pipes frozen. I called Joe Ludwig at 6:15 AM and described my problem. He was at my house 30 minutes later troubleshooting. 30 minutes after he arrived he determined it was my thermostat. Though the problem was an easy fix and we got lucky with the frozen pipes it still was nice to have a professional opinion. This could have been a much bigger problem or turned into a bigger problem. Joe was polite, punctual and fair with his bill. We will definitely use him again and recommend him.

Excellent. Crew came on time, did a very neat, professional job, and were very thorough. I used Joe Ludwig Plumbing after my next-door neighbor recommended them, as he recently had a full gas biuler conversion done. Price was good and the work was done right.

We had gotten a boiler for free. My husband did a lot of the work, so we didn't need the contractor for much. They did the chimney liner and installed the gas boiler.
