Seth did a truly impressive job of installing a deadbolt lock on a 19th century bathhouse door. I was very impressed by his expertise - this wasn't a standard door, instead it was a 130 year old extra-thick door that is a complex patchwork of the things done to it during the last century or so. Vandals broke the last lock off the door last night, and I wanted to get the door secure before they come back tonight. Seth was there at the beach within an hour of my call and he stayed for a long time making sure the job he did was perfect, using many different supplies from his van to figure out how to strengthen the door and make it extra-hard to break into. Even the local police were impressed by what a great job he did. The job was expensive but considering that it was an emergency call out and the fact that it took well over 90 minutes of work to get the door secured I think it was a very good price. I definitely got my money's worth!

They answered the phone, arrived at our home and fixed the lock, all within an hour. Service was excellent.

I heard about Able Locksmith via the Angie's list website. They were prompt with setting up an appointment and arrived within the time period they said they would. While here, the locksmith did not seem like he really wanted to do the job. He wouldn't re-key all the locks so that the same key could be used. Also, the front door deadbolt is already breaking. We locked it and couldn't get it open. It seems as if the bar that pushed the deadbolt out, gets stuck. When you are holding the hand of a two year old, the lock needs to be open quickly. The back door is difficult to open as well. Overall, I will not use them again. I am out $265, and will probably have to pay to have everthing done again. UPDATE!!! Able Locksmith contacted me after I had filed a negative report. They contacted me to rectify the poor worksmanship done by the company. When Seth arrived to our house he was on-time, polite, and corrected EVERYTHING! He did an amazing job. We are beyond pleased with his work, and updated our rating and comments to reflect the great job that he did. I would absolutely use them again as long as Seth will be the one performing the work.

I called the company in the morning, and the phone was answered right away. I was looking for service that day and was told that I would be called back to see if it could be arranged. They did call back, set it up, showed up on time, and perfomed the work in a professional manner. They charged just what they said they would charge. I was very pleased.

The gentleman was on time and very nice. The job was done very quickly and we were very pleased.

Excellent experience. Chad was very professional and punctual. He did great work. I called him back after he left the job for more work and he graciously returned after finishing another job. Chad found that my back door had been kicked in and put in longer screws to prevent it from happening in the future. I do wish I had thought of making one of the doors with a different key color. All my keys are the same brass color.
