Installed LG dishwasher that is not functional, no drying setting works at all, terrible customer service at both LG and the store. I'm just stuck with a brand new broken dishwasher. Avoid this retailer!

Terrible customer service. When trying to use a 5 year warranty we purchased on a lemon of a dyer they directed us back to the manufacturer instead of the company they contract with. If you look at other reviews online they seem to do this often- particularly with Samsung. They were also rude and unhelpful when we called to ask about using the warranty. We will NOT purchase from them again!
Description of Work: Dryer was not heating. The technician came 4 times and misdiagnosed the problem. Resulting in over $600 in charges and no ability to use a 5 year warranty on a dryer that was 18 months old.

I purchased a new stove from Orvilles (Webster, NY) and had it delivered on 12/22/20. The stove was making a very loud grinding sound the first time I turned it on. The installer did not cycle the stove on during the installation visit because he said it was too cold and could crack the glass. I called Orvilles the next day and they said "sorry, there is nothing we can do, you'll have to call the manufacturer." I called the manufacturer, and they said "because it is within 24 hours of install, it is the responsibility of the Orvilles to handle the problem". The manufacturer put a service request into Orvilles to have them service the stove. I called Orvilles to set up an appointment for the service visit. They said "sorry, we will not help you, but instead recommend another company that can service the stove". Keep in mind, Orvilles does have a service department, but they refused to handle it on their end and instead wanted to involve a 3rd party to service it. They did not want to deal with a warranty claim because they lose money on the call. I called and set up the service visit with County Wide Appliance (the 3rd party vendor). The first visit was on 1/4/21. The technician diagnosed the problem as a failed convection fan motor that was caused by a bad installation. The part was ordered and not installed until 1/12/21. While we were waiting for the part to arrive, the stove intermittently shutoff during the bake cycle. We thought maybe it was an anomaly so we ignored it. Since the installation of the new confection fan motor, the stove has shut off during the bake cycle 5-7 times. Power was not lost or intermittent at this time. I called Orville's and they said "it's not our problem, it's either County Wide's problem or the manufacturer". They would not assist in any way shape or form. I then called County Wide appliance and they said they could order a control board as it is most likely the problem. However, there is concern that because of the failed control board, it could have damaged other components causing wear on their life cycle or cause future safety concerns. With that said, we purchased a new stove and feel that the stove should be replaced in entirety. We feel it is a lemon because 2 parts have failed and who knows how much damage this has caused to other parts. We fear this is an unsafe appliance. Also, it's possible the installer (Orvilles) may have damaged the stove during transit/installation which is why the convection fan motor and control board have failed. In which case, it's not the manufacturers fault, but Orvilles. The installer should be held accountable for this damaged, unsafe oven. We paid for a new stove and feel as though we should receive a new one (not a broken one with lower quality after market parts.). I've left two voicemails with the service manager and they have still not called me back. It has been almost 2 months since we have purchased a new stove and still have no resolution.

My dryer's motor blew so I was in need of a new dryer. Went to a couple of places but started at Orville's first. The salesman in Henrietta (Andrew) was nice and helpful. We proceeded to go to a couple of other places including Home Depot, Best Buy, and Lowe's. Orville offered the best deal for us. Decided to include a matching washer as our old washer was over 13 years old. Dryer was on back order so had to wait 2 plus weeks for delivery. Was very excited when delivery finally happened as I no longer had to run back and forth to the Laundromat for drying purposes. Upon delivery, notice dents in the dryer. Was desperate to do laundry but pointed out issue to delivery guys. They offered 3 solutions (take product back, refund delivery fee, free 5 year warranty). Delivery men try to guide my to free 5 year warranty which is what I initially accepted. I would recommend that others never accept this option as this comes at very little to no cost for Orville's. Upon sleeping on this, I called the store to change my mind and request for them to deliver a new dryer. I have to admit the sales personnel was great and allowed this to happen. New dryer looks great. Only issue this that the dryer door has a small box cutter mark on the front which is barely noticeable. I did not want to send product back again a second time. So my only complaint would be with the delivery department of this company. Always check the products you get as soon as they take it off the truck and before it gets installed in your home. Send back any product that looks defective or has dents, etc.

lted which is the reason our refrigerator stopped working a few months after the dangerous repair. Where do I start to say what didn't go well? First, Orvilles doesn't have an emergency service. So, if your appliance breaks down on a Saturday, you call them Monday morning. We called on Monday morning and they answered in Webster and promptly put us through to the Buffalo repair show ANSWERING MACHINE. In the meanwhile, some kind local repair man came and found the problem. He was here when Orville's finally called back. He was so upset about what he found...the melted wire...that he talked to their service manager. Ultimately, the offered to pay half that guy's service call....for what was gross negligence and incompetence of the warranty repair their technician made. They admitted that technician was no longer with them. They said we should have used Orville's and not the local technician. Hello. We would have if you answered your phone. And the attitude is not kind or helpful or caring. We told them no, we wouldn't take anything from them if they didn't have the integrity to make good on what their own technician did. That could have burned our home down. Never use this company. They're in Buffalo. They don't hold a candle Netzmans. Customer service is not what it needs to be for them to succeed. Actually, they deserve to fail.
Description of Work: Bought all our new kitchen appliances from Netzmans before Orville's took over. The water line on the refrig stopped working while it was only six months old and still under warranty. Orville's sent out a repair technician while product still und who (unbeknownst to us) accidentally severed the power cord on the refrig. Accidents happen, we understand. Just acknowledge it and order and install a new cord. This installer did not. He hid his error and just twisted bare wires together and pushed the unit back into the wall. Six months later, a little fire started and the wires mel

The old washing machine died Christmas week and we didn't have a lot of time to research the market for a decent washer and dryer but we did do some research and comparison and quite frankly found Orville's by accident in the Sunday Democrat & Chronicle. Orville's is a chain store out of Buffalo NY and bought out the former Netzmans in Webster NY. The salesman was very knowledgeable but was at times cocky and a bit snide responding to my wifes and my questions, regarding delivery set up and SERVICE... Sales approach aside we bought the washer and dryer and kind of liked the fact that a salesman nowadays had anything other than the sale in mind refreshing. The delivery guys arrived a bit late on New Years day with the set and came in and the lead delivery and set up man (they were both in there twenties) took his coat off and threw it on my kitchen counter! Now I am not a major germaphobe but I have no idea where your coat has been and I don't really appreciate you throwing your coat on my kitchen counter where I prepare food for my family, but I let it go. Neither of the two set up/delivery guys seemed to give a d*** about getting the appliances in in an orderly fashion, but seemed to be on a tight schedule. At one point I heard the lead say to the helper, "how much sleep did you get last night"? the other replied, "2 hours". I chuckled to myself and thought I was twenty something once. They installed the washer and dryer and even checked the gas connection with a sniffer for safety, which I thought was good for two hungover young guys. Later that day the drawer in the washer pedestal wouldn't shut right and we took it out and tried to re-seat it and didn't want to force it but also didn't want to take another day off to wait for a SERVICE TECH to come out and fix it. The idea was to wait until July when I had a vacation block then let Orville's tell us when they might have a service tech in the area. THE SALESMAN TOLD US THEY SERVICED EVERYTHING THEY SOLD "WE AREN'T HOMEDEPOT' HE SAID SOMEWHAT SNIDELY. Fast forward six months to this past Tuesday 6/3/14. The wife runs a small load of laundry and the water is not spun out of the washer on completion. She runs it again on a quick spin cycle, still soaking wet. She runs teh load again on a complete cycle and notes a funny noise coming from the washer. at the end of this wash cycle the clothes are soaking wet not damp as is the case at the end of a normal wash cycle. The wife is very upset as this machine is brand new and we aren't non-stop laundry people we do 6-8 loads on Saturday and an occasional load during the week. We call the store in Webster and they refer us to the service number. My wife leaves a message and they call her the next day 6/4/14 and say the earliest they can be there is Saturday 6/7/14. Orvilles calls my home number today and leaves a voicemail message ststing "they don't service my area, I will have to contact a local store for frigidaire service, that we haven't had the best customer service from. I find it amazing that Orville's service department called my home phone number when my wife gave them her cell number and my cell number. So the moral of the story is is that Orville's customer service is horrendous and very non-professional and substandard!!!! They also have salespeople tha liek to talk a lot of smack on how superior they are to everyone else and then can't back it up when something goes. I am very displeased with Orville's appliances and would not recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: Purchased a brand new front loader washer and dryer from Orville's appliances on or about 12/29/2013. Didn't really need a dryer but with a child heading to college in two years we didn't want to buy a dryer then either. Orville's had a discontinued Frigidaire (new in the box) set we bought for a reasonable price, both washer and dryer are frontloading and on pedestals. The pair was delivered on January 1, 2014.

Netzman's has very recently been purchased by Orville's of Lancaster (Buffalo), NY. The new service number is 1-855-535-0245. Orville's has instituted its own policies, such as requiring a credit card number be given to them before they will send out a technician. The cost of a service call is $129. The service technician and the scheduler both said there would be no labor cost, but there would be costs for parts if they were needed. The technician recommended that I buy a Speed Queen washer that would be similar to the durability and perfomance of my old Maytag. Maytag is no longer made by Maytag, and the quality is now the same as buying any other American-made washer. Planned replacement time is about 8 years. The Speed Queen should last longer. I went to Netzman's and was told the same information about washers by the salesman as I was by the technician. I purchased te Speed Queen. The manufacturer's warranty is only one year, which is apparently true of almost all the washer manufacturers now. The cost of the Speed queen washer was about $100 less than the other local company I called, but that is due to the fact that this model is being phased out. Cost for the washer was $764. With delivery and removal of the old washer($49) and taxes, the cost was over $800. This was an unplanned expense. I am not disappointed in Netzman's, but I am very discouraged about the planned obsolesence and lack of quality of American manufacturers.
Description of Work: The Netzman's service technician, Dan, came and looked at my 19-year-old Maytag washer that was leaking water on the floor. After taking it apart, he showed me that the transmission had failed and that the machine had been leaking for awhile. The cost of parts to repair the transmission would be $400-$600. The cost of a new machine would start at about $600. He advised me to purchase a new machine and gave me a $30 coupon to use at Netzman's. He was apologetic that the washer was beyond repair.

They have been wonderful. We had trouble with the refrigerator and they were more than generous with their time and service with repairing it. They service the appliances they sell. It is a great company. I would go back and buy any appliance from them in a heartbeat. They are excellent. They kept coming back until it was right. They would probably be the only place that I would go for an appliance.

I purchased a new dishwasher, and had to wait for my color to be ordered. I picked it up later that week...(I had called mid-afternoon; only to find out it had arrived hours ago already) and when I opened it in my garage - it was the wrong color, and the bottom corners were quite damaged. The installers I hired drove me back to Neztman's with the unit. I explained to the owner what happened, and that his company's error had already cost me $50 in time and labor - and I wanted a credit for that amount. He proceeded to act as if I my request was crazy...telling me it was not his fault at all. He even said "would you believe me if I told you more than 10 percent of appliances we get in are damaged". That's supposed to make me feel better? I asked him why the unit was not inspected by them before selling it - since they tend to be damaged. He said that they don't check these larger units, but they do check small appliances. I clearly stated that I wanted him to credit me the $50, and I felt it was a reasonable request. He said no, and then said "I'll tell ya what, I'll contact my Whirlpool sales rep; and if I can get the $50 out of him, then I'll give you the money, ok". He basically took no accountability for the situation in my mind. I left them with the mishap, and they proceeded to order the correct model in from another location. I insisted that the unit be inspected before I picked it up; I wanted no repeat issues. They agreed to make sure this next unit was inspected. Two men delivered the new unit a couple days later to my house. I watched as the one man pushed my dishwasher all the way out of the truck, and then up my driveway. No u cart was used at all...the unit itself was wheeled out of the truck and up my driveway. After placing it in my garage, I turned to the man and said that I was going to take a look at the unit. I started to pull the box off, and the man said "that's what you ordered". As I pulled the box off, it seemed to be the wrong color. I turned to ask a question, and the men had quickly jumped in the truck and pulled away already! Needless to say, I was upset. They seemed to be in a hurry, and had no finesse in delivering the unit. My installer showed up shortly after, and informed me that the front wheels were bent quite a bit. This is because of how the delivery guys pushed it out of the truck and up my driveway. The installer had to carefully try and straighten out the two front wheels, and not break them...more time and labor wasted (they could have broke them!!). After the unit was finally installed, I was very unhappy with the noise. I bought a Whirlpool quiet partner II. I didn't expect it to be so d*** loud and annoying...not for $400 dollars. I called to complain, and the sales rep Becka (who was very nice) indicated that only Whirlpool could authorize a return of the item. Becka suggested I have a tech look at the unit. I figured, why not - maybe that one was damaged too? The tech (Mike) came out days later, and was very professional. He explained that I should have gotten a proper bottom panel with insulation on it, and said that he would order it for me. He then explained that the unit was not as quiet as you might expect, and offered some advice on how to help decrease the noise. I told him that the whole buying experience with Netzman's was a bad one, and that I wished they had inspected the first unit. He then told me that all dishwashers are inspected before being sold. That's not what Jim (the owner) told me; and this means they neglected to ever check my dishwasher by choice. It's been 3 weeks, and I still don't have my part. This entire experience was a negative one for me. I' wish I could get a full refund, and start all over again somewhere else. If the tables were turned, I'd be inclined to refund the unit in full, based on my own integrity; or at least allow for an exchange with a considerable discount. I never heard about my $50 bucks either...I don't know if the Whirlpool rep was ever contacted on my behalf?

Purchased appliances at store - salesperson was knowledgeable and good to work with, no pressure. Appliances were delivered on a Saturday in the two hour window we were given (near the end of it). Fridge was fine, stove was troublesome but no their fault. Dishwasher was installed by a different guy but he too was prompt and thorough.
Description of Work: Purchased new refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher. All were delivered to our house and the old appliances taken away by Netzmann's. We did not do enough homework on our stove purchase and it had to be returned for a variety of reasons. No troubles with the return and the other two appliances are working fine.
