Ferrante Construction (FC) exceeded my expectations in every way. Of the 6 contractors I ask to bid on the job, only 3 submitted bids after they came out to see the job. Deck protrudes over a sharp drop off and several of the original footings were unstable. Also, I had specific ideas about the type of materials I wanted and the design of the new deck. (FC) was willing to work with me to make possible everything I wanted. Since no one deck manufacturer had exactly what I wanted, (FC) ended up using materials from 4 different manufactures to complete the finished deck. Using their ingenuity and skill to make everything fit correctly together.However what impressed me most was the workmanship. (FC) is more like a cabinet maker tnan a carpenter. Whenever their was a decision to be made during the project (FC) chose the best way, not the cheapest or fastest way. For example, they chose to glue down the deck boards, even though the metal hidden fastener system did not require it in their instulation manual. I thought the original builder of our home who also did our first deck it was good, but (FC) has made it multiple times better.
