Chamberlain Septic & Sewer

I have used Chamberlain Septic for years pumping out and maintaining my septic system. They have always been efficient and reliable. I needed to replace my ancient septic tank with a new one, so I called for an estimate, then got sidetracked by claims from the Town that there was a sewer line to connect to. This proved to be false but took a month to resolve the issue. I contacted Dean Beh to install the septic tank. He had a topflight two-man crew out within a week, and they had the new tank installed and connected in two days. It was a great job.

Great experience, and he carefully put the sod back, so I was not left with a big mess like other people have left!

We've used Chamberlain before to clean/drain our septic tank. Unfortunately, the previous owners of our house built a deck directly over the entrance to the septic tank. This only allowed for the hose to enter from the side of the deck instead of directly straight down into the opening. This also prevented the use of the sticks & shovels to really get in there. At the suggestion of Chamberlain from there last visit, I got my handyman to create a nicely made pull out "1 piece" of the deck section covering the entrance hole of the septic tank. During this visit Chamberlain was able to go straight down into the septic tank opening with the various size sticks, shovels, and hoses. The 2 fellas worked their tails off to make sure they got in there and got rid of all the waste! I saw some of the waste (toilet paper & wipes) shooting through the hose like a rocket from time to time. After about 90 minutes of going at it and being very thorough, the job was finally done like it should have been (straight down into the septic tank opening). These guys were just great and the $15.00 Angie's List coupon was honored.

Wonderful, or as wonderful as pumping a septic tank can go. The guy was professional, friendly, and very helpful and I will absolutely call these folks next time.

The workman arrived and quickly went to work. The blockage was quite a ways toward the front of the house, but they managed to clear the line. I was happy with the result.

It was a comical situation, I purchased a home and the realtor listed the house on public sewer, only to discover 9 years later, this was not true. Chamberlain sent out their guy to locate and pump the system based on drawings provided to the Health dept. The drawings submitted to the county were incorrect, and the man discovered we had TWO active septic systems on my property. Throughout the morning, the man was professional and very patient while we searched everywhere for the mysterious systems! I was extremely worried, at first, near tears, then finally relieved ... I highly recommend this contractor - A+

I made an appointment for someone to take a look at it and let me know how to proceed. Dean came to the house early and indicated this was beyond his scope. He could obviously empty the tank but beyond that could not help me fix the problem. He left the house, and within 30 minutes had contacted an engineer who recommended filling it with cement (a recommendation I had already heard); he then put me in touch with a mason Guy Swingly who he has known for years. Gus came by within a few days of my call and just today filled the tank with cement. I now feel secure that my family room will stand for years to come. Dean went above and beyond to help me even though I would not be paying him for services. If ever I own a home with a septic system, Chamberlain will get my business. Very much appreciated!! He was going to be late because their truck would not start.. but they called and made sure it was ok to be late! They did the job in an efficient manner and lived up to my expectations.

I had already scheduled an appointment with their service and was on the docket for a week out. The reason my call to them was my toilet and sink were starting to gurgle. On Saturday morning, just two day after I had initially called, everything backed up, my toilet, shower etc. I called Chamberlain again in a panic, told them my situation had changed and was now urgent that they come asap. They said they would be there within couple hours... so I went for a cup of coffee down the street and within just a few minutes, received a call from their driver that he was sitting in my driveway. He asked where the septic tank was, I was back within 10 minutes and he was already done! He found the tank, dug it up, uncovered it and drained the inlet (where the problem was) and the entire tank and was buttoning up when I got there. The operator was friendly, efficient and cleanup afterwards... I'm a business owner and I'm not easily impressed, however Chamberlain WOW'd me... from my one experience with Chamberlain, I highly recommend them!

He was here for 1 hour. He did find roots in the sewer line. This is not his type of job but he did clean some of them out for me because he is a nice guy.

The provider was on time and pleasant. The work was accomplished promptly and he gave me some verbal feedback on timing for the next cleaning.

It is very hard to tell if they do a good job of cleaning the muck at the bottom by just watching. I asked the guy how much should be left at the bottom of the tank after he left. I don't exactly recall now (1.5 years later) what number he said but I checked with a pole after he left and I do remember there was more than he said so perhaps it was not cleaned out as well as it could have been. I guess I need to check a year later and see if the muck has moved around and it is a reasonable amount for 1.5 years later with one person in the house. I have of course not had any problems so that is good.

Phone was answered promptly and pleasantly. Service was scheduled at a convenient day and time. Technician arrived on the scheduled day, after calling 1/2 hour ahead as promised. He dug out the tank top, pumped it out, tested water flow, replaced sod over cover. All was done neatly and efficiently - no mess at all. The technician, Ron, was very pleasant, answered questions and explained the process. I was very satisfied with every aspect of the service.

great, they're professional and know what they're doing

Our sump pump crock was filling up with waste water from somewhere in our house plumbing; we suspected a possibly full septic tank. We called first thing in the morning and they were able to come within a couple of hours. They called to let us know when they were on their way and appeared at the time they'd predicted. The technician located and opened the septic tank and discovered that it was not causing the problem. We had it pumped anyway since it was approaching full. He proceeded to trouble shoot what was actually causing our problem and soon discovered a plugged line, one coming from our kitchen sink. When he was unable to clear it with the equipment he had, he called an associate who, likewise promptly, came to finish the job. We would heartily recommend this company. They are prompt, courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and personable.

It went very well. They found the cover after a few attempts cleaned the tank replaced cover and checked some connections. Replaced cover and sod and were done.

It appeared from the internet that Chamberlain Septic & Sewer could construct a septic system and extend the water main to the front of my new residence. There are few companies that can do this work in Rochester. I contacted Chamberlain Septic & Sewer and they said that the only way that I could talk with them was to go to the site. They did not say that anything was required in order to meet with them. I made arrangements to go to Rochester from my home in Connecticut (300+ miles away) and to be at the site yesterday (4pm, 8/14/14) at the only time a company representative was available. About 20 minutes before the appointment, I was contacted by the company and they asked if I had a fully-signed Site Plan. I said that it had been completed but only the Town had signed off but a full signoff is expected in a few days. I told them how far I had come to make the appointment but they said that the company representative would not meet with me. My limited experience with the company is that it is unprofessional and has no regard for the customer. For anything other than pumping out septic tanks, I suggest that you stay away from this company -- far away!
