The drive way looks fine, but the customer service left something to be desired. They did not communicate fees associated with the service, did not respond to requests we made about leaving fill, left a piece of concrete next to the driveway and left cigarette butts in the lawn. When I got the initial quote I was initially impressed with the customer service, I am disappointed to say this was not followed through in our whole experience.

I received the following Email from [Member Name Removed] Good Afternoon, I wanted to write and let you know about your experience with Terry Granger Paving. I want to start by saying that our driveway looks very nice! I love having it paved and do not regret it one bit. However, the customer service left something to be desired. When they were digging out dirt to put down the drive way we asked them if we could keep the dirt. They said we could and we told them where we would like it dumped. They did not leave the dirt and the did not communicate to us at all why they were not able to or chose not to leave it. Additionally, there was a very large piece of concrete left next to the drive way that we had to dispose of ourselves. The thing that really bothered me the most was the additional fee for credit cards. To be honest, this would not have been an issue if we were told about it up front. I understand the reason for having this fee, however we specifically asked if you took credit cards when you came to do the estimate and we were told that you do accept them. We should have been told at that time that there was $148 fee associated with it. In the grande scheme of things in which we are paying for our driveway this is not that much money and would not have changed our mind. However, waiting until the service was done and we had received our bill was unprofessional and seems sneaky. With all of this combined I would have a hard time recommending Terry Granger Paving to anyone that asked me about it and I think when we decided to do the driveway at our other property we would go with someone else. Even though we had received a lower quote from someone we chose to go with your business because when you initially came out and gave us the quote we were impressed with your knowledge and customer service skills. I am disappointed to say this was not followed through in our whole experience. Please know we take credit card payments every day, clients understand that we cannot absorb the fee. I assume because driveways and parking lots are very expensive purchases they expect the fee. I spoke w/ Tim concerning the fill - he said that he was unable to dump the fill in the area your husband requested because it was at an angle that could have tipped the Tandem. I very very sorry about the piece of concrete left behind - it was an oversight by staff and I apologize and will come out over the weekend and remove that for you. I would like to point out that I have since learned that the piece of concrete allegedly left behind was not in, nor part of the driveway. It was not in our scope of work to remove anything outside of the driveway. If [Member Name Removed] relayed to me that there were cigarette butts in her lawn, I would have sent staff there to remove them. In reference to the fill. Staff was asked by the customer if they could keep the fill and have it dumped in a specific area. When Mr. Granger arrived on site he instructed the staff not to dump the fill in the area requested as it could cause the tandem to tip. Mr. Granger sent the truck out, so that the trucks sitting w/ hot mix could get in. At the time of estimate Katie asked us if we accept credit cards. I said yes. After job completion, I invoiced her. She wanted to pay w/ credit card, I explained to her square reader's surcharge of 2.75% swipe or 3.5% manual enter. Her husband came to my office to pay. He payed partial check and the remainder w/ credit card. He said he loved his driveway. I asked him if he had any questions, he said no. I thought they were happy. Later that day, [Member Name Removed]started leaving negative reviews all over the internet. [Member Name Removed] is upset that she was charged a $137.50 surcharge for using a credit card. That surcharge does not go in our pocket, it goes to Square Reader. We were not being dishonest by any means. We were hired to install a driveway. We gave her a beautiful driveway. It was the customer choice in how she wanted to pay. I did not force her to use a credit card. The sad thing in the end of this is, had she told me she was have a financial issue, I would have been more than happy to work w/ her.

The job looks terrible. I have pictures if anyone wants to see. The one thing that they did not perform per what they said they would was a smooth transition from all areas . The rolling is uneven, there are a lot of rust marks left on pavement from their roller, the type 7 asphalt leaves theses very unsightly open areas in it. Looks worse than the old driveway that was damaged. At least that was smooth. Also to be noted is the poor customer service. When I called to tell the company of my concerns over the work, the female that always answers became very nasty, would not listen to the customer. Then she began hollering at me that I had to pay her. After I told her I never said we weren't going to she said, well when you call complaining it raises a red flag. So, she will not accept any customer complaints, as you raise red flags?? Poor poor customer service. Yes I tell everyone about poor companies. Stay away from them, save your money.
Description of Work: They did write out all the work to be performed, however, they don't explain how bad it will look. Don't fall for type 7 asphalt.
