 + 0 moreThe job done for me by Cook Contracting LLC was not that great. They took a very long time to get started and I really could have painted it better myself. They responded very quickly to the request for an estimate, but actually getting the work started was a different story.

Description of Work: 1) Bathroom remodel. (We paid for all fixtures -- tub and enclosure, shower doors, toilet, vanity, medicine cabinet, faucets, flooring -- out of pocket, so the cost of those items was in addition to fee paid contractor.) |2) Painting of bedroom that adjoined bathroom. | |Work went very well. We were home during the workday, so the contracter was in constant communication about any issues that cropped up. We have an 1860s house and there were several unanticipated problems. The contractor made several excellent suggestions for small additions as the work progressed. These were small things we had not thought of, but their inclusion enhanced the finished project. We are very happy with our new bathroom and would highly recommend Cook Contracting.

 + 0 moreThe contract stated the work was to be done between 15 Nov and 15 Dec. They were very difficult to get in touch with. They work on the door was not done until past the 15 Dec deadline and the roof is still not done. They we're suppose to call the beginning of Jan to set up a time to stain the new door. Never heard from them. Finding a new contractor.
Description of Work: The quoted me a price to put in an interior door and a small roof repair.

 + -1 moreI purchased and assembled an awning from Home Depot. The awning site was on a two-story window without any access but by ladder. They came, they quoted, they took into account all my concerns, did an apparently solid job, took my check, and gave me a card. Came within days of a cold call from myself. Very satisfactory job overall.

 + 3 moreOverall... it all went very well. These guys are creative and extremely competent. When there was an issue outside of their scope (rare occurrence), they suggested the appropriate person. There are too many stories to relay them all but if you call them, they have my permission to give you my number!
Description of Work: I have no idea how much we have spent... and the service date would not let me tell you they worked on our properties from 2004 through 2010 and the only reason they haven't been at our home since then is we have had no work done!Our Home: Complete bathroom remodel...Replacement of all windows in 2 story home... Electrical upgrade... Insulate & Sheetrock intricate interior of gothic cottage style 2nd floor... Replace 4 entry doors... Replace windows with sliding glass doors...AND the largest of all: Complete Kitchen/Laundry/Toolroom Remodel to include replacing/repairing faulty work done by a disappearing contractor.Our Camp: 100% rewiring of 3 story building from power pole in... replacement of exterior doors to include changing size in block walls.
