Excellent. Dave is a perfectionist. Not only did he do a beautiful job, he was very responsive to our needs. He was always available to all our phone calls and questions. He is quick to respond and never leaves you waiting like other contractors do. He will always return your call in a very timely fashion. His work was impeccable and he took special care in cleaning up when the job was completed. We highly recommend him and would without doubt hire his services again

Dave at Star Painting is a perfectionist and a great businessman. I highly recommend his services for both interior and exterior painting jobs. First of all Dave is highly responsive via email and phone, he ALWAYS calls you back, which is rare among contractors. Second, Dave is meticulous and has incredible attention to detail and cleanliness. I hired Dave to paint the main upstairs area of my house (raised ranch - living room, main entryway including stairs, and hallway to bedrooms) including the ceilings. From the time he showed up to the time he left, he was incredibly careful and professional - he treaded my house and my things like they were his own and showed great care with everything he did. They spent the first few minutes moving my furniture being incredibly careful not to break anything or cause any damage. Everything was placed in the center of the room and covered with drop cloths. The actual painting went by so fast - it takes me forever to prep and paint - so having a professional was highly worth the investment. He took the time to repair all the dings and holes in the walls and in the ceiling. One part of the ceiling where the tape was starting to crack he cut out and re-did. Dave and his crew (Robbie) are highly skilled in cutting in the edges - they got paint only on the walls and ceiling where it belongs - nothing on the casing, heaters, or floor. Dave noticed that the black iron railing on the staircase was looking a little ragged, so he took it upon himself to retrieve some black paint from the car and fix it. A couple of weeks after the job was done a spot on the ceiling started to peel a little, and Dave came back to fix it for free. Dave uses the highest quality materials, and although they are more expensive than paint at a big box store, they are worth the price. He does not charge any markup and will give you the receipt after the job is done. If any unused supplies were purchased, he will return them instead of billing you for them. Dave doesn't just send a crew, he does the work himself and is on site 95% of the time to make sure the job is going as it should. Dave's crew is great as well, in this case it was a young man named Robbie - very professional and treated the job with the same level of care that Dave did. Overall I am very happy with Dave at Star Painting. I would recommend him to anyone, and will continue to use Start Painting for as long as I live in this area.

Dave is absolutely fabulous and does great work. He is always responsive via phone and his work is meticulous. He doesn't just send a crew to do the work - he's on site the whole time making sure it gets done right. I had reached out to Dave a couple of years ago for an estimate on the exterior paint, however at the time it wasn't in the budget. I kept in contact with Dave, and even though it was 2 years later, he honored the price quote he had given prior. I had a whole host of exterior painting that needed to get done, but no time to do it myself. I had some deck railings that had been replaced 9 years ago, and the person that painted them did a terrible job. Over the years mold and mildew built up on them. I had some additional staircase railings that I had done with Thompson's water seal that were peeling and blotchy. He had previously informed me that it was possible the paint wouldn't stick to the staircase railings due to the water seal, however said he would sand them lightly and do his best. When Dave showed up to do the work, he informed me that the railings and deck needed to be power washed, and gave me a good price to power wash the whole house (which it needed desperately). The house looks great now. Dave uses only the highest quality materials and made quick work of the railings. He took the time to cover them with plastic when he left the first day as it looked like it was going to rain that afternoon. He even came back to apply a 3rd coat because in his opinion it looked a little uneven. In addition the deck railings, Dave did some other miscellaneous painting including an exterior door, door trim, and front porch columns. There were two old rusty black poles (light post and basketball pole) that he sanded down and painted as well. Everything came great. I have to comment about the people that Dave hires to work for him - they are great as well. Even though they are just young men, they are very professional, and have incredible attention to detail. Dave treats his staff well and they appear to like working for him. Overall I am very satisfied with Dave and Star Painting - I would recommend him to anybody and will continue to use Star Painting as long as I live in this area.
