Description of Work: They were called to clear a blockage in the kitchen sink drain, and to install a new garbage disposal. The blockage turned out to be a major one, with an entire length of pipe filled with grease, so they replaced about 40 feet of PVC, starting at the kitchen sink. I thought it was wise to follow this recommendation, since other pipes in the run were likely to be partially clogged. Since this was a larger job than originally expected, they had to return the next day with appropriate materials. The garbage disposal installation was more complicated than it appeared, due in part to a problem with the one that was being replaced. This required a call-back the next day, and the job was completed successfully. It is a pleasure to have a person, not a machine, answering the phone, and the willingness of them to return to be sure the job was done properly, without making a fuss, is why I would not hesitate to use them again. The job was priced fairly for the time and materials needed.

Description of Work: They gave a quote for a new septic. They said I would have to install a tank twice the size of what I had and would need a new leach field. Neither was true. I got the job done well for less than half their quote.

Description of Work: First off, I don't remember exact date or price so these are approximates. DAKA installed a new boiler for us - their price was the least expensive of 3 estimates. Installation went well and it still is working just fine. We also had them for several years after do the annual tune-up. Had a specific problem with not enough hot water which they seemed unable to remedy. Last year we had a different company in for the tune-up and now have hot water aplenty and their price was approx. 40% of what DAKA charged. So I guess there are pros and cons to DAKA - very good installation, follow-up not so much. Very nice service techs.
