So far so good. They are responsive, came right away, gave us the estimate and seemed like they have a good price. I like that they are quick to respond, the quote seemed fair and they seemed reliable from the other reviews.

Arrived on time and review the situation. Very happy with ability to call for assistance to complete the job the same day...especially since my door would no longer close

We came to know about D&D doors through Angies list and we got what was promised: Absolute A class service !! Don came exactly on time on the appointed day and was very courteous and professional; We were initially planning to order new garage door openers, but Don looked at our old garage door openers on his own initiative and recommended that they will work fine. He suggested that by using our existing openers, we can save ~400 ! Don went about installing our old garage door openers and also procured the few extra items that were needed to install them. The openers were installed very skillfully and he took the time to explain its operation in detail, including how to open the garage doors when the power goes off. We were very pleased with Don's professionalism and work ethics and think that he did an awesome job and takes great pride in his work. The charges were very reasonable and quality of workmanship was outstanding !!

We called and a quote was in our hands in 3 days. Ordered the doors, and in two weeks later got the call they were in, install 4 days later. Great job.

Paul provided me with the quote in early June. Based on his knowledge about the product and his overall professionalism (as compared to 1 other contractor), I decided to have the doors installed. It took approximately 3-4 weeks after my order was placed for the garage doors to arrive. I scheduled the installation for 2 weeks after that. The one installation technician (can't recall his name) arrived promptly at the agreed upon time and only took ~3 hours to complete the job by himself. The old door, track, door opener, and all associated hardware were removed and the area was swept up after the installation was complete. The technician also took time to explain to me how the new door opener worked, how to change the key code, etc. and answered all of my questions knowledgeably. The only negative was that during the installation the garage door somehow got a small scrape in the paint. I pointed it out to the technician and he said he would mention it to Paul, who could come by to repair the scrape. So far that hasn't happened. All in all though it was a very positive experience.

They did an excellent job. D&D was very knowledgeable and completed the work quickly.

On Saturday afternoon I discovered that the clunk I heard Friday night when I closed the garage door, was the rupture of one of the cables that lifts the garage door. The door was stuck, the car was in the garage, and I would need it to go to work on Monday. Other companies were not doing emergency weekend repairs; I got voice-mailboxes when I called them. D & D's listing promised 24 hour emergency service, so I left a message. Don called back promptly and promised to come when he finished the job he was working on. His estimate was an hour, and it took two, but that was really reasonable. He fixed the door, it worked well, and I paid him. The next morning, Sunday, the door stuck again - this time it stuck open. So I removed my car, and called him, explaining that the new roller that he had installed had dislocated from its bracket, and the door was angled in its frame and jammed. He said it was his fault, and that he would come Monday to replace it. I had to go away, but by the time a friend checked the door on Wednesday, it was repaired and working perfectly. And it has worked perfectly ever since. Don was personable and professional, took responsibility, and knew what he was doing. I will definitely use him for garage door work in the future.

Repair was smooth and quick, so quick I questioned whether I really received my "included tune up", the repair was effective, no further trouble 1 1/4 years later. But, the serviceman, we had made me uncomfortable, asked about my 3 year old daughter in a way that was intrusive, strange and inappropriate. I would use them again as I have no other in mind, but I would make sure a different person came out on the call. The replacement photocell was a used part he had on his truck, he said "they did not make them any more" and seemed expectant of something - gratitude or tip ?? When he told me so (in an obsequious manner) was creepy and too familiar.

Our garage door spring broke on a Saturday afternoon. It jammed in the down position and trapped our car inside. We called Bob, and happened to catch him in his truck - he was at our house within ten minutes!! The new spring had to be ordered, but Bob put a temporary repair on the old spring (on a Saturday), and got it working as good as new, so we had the use of our car. The new spring arrived about ten days later, and was quickly installed. The service was exemplary, and the price very fair (Bob didnt charge us the weekend call premium). There is no question - this is the outfit to call for garage door problems.

Paul with D&D Doors was very informative and explained the different types of doors available with different R values to save in energy cost. Many styles, colors and window styles to choose from. The installers were great they were very professional and the new doors look and work like a professional installed them.

Everything was done professionallly and as promised. We had a problem with the one of the doors a year later and they promptly came out and serviced it under warranty. Extremely happy with the doors. Well insulated and battery backup is terrific!

Their engineer responded very quickly to our request for a quote, bringing a mix of display items for us to examine and choose. I had already utilized their extensive web site to educate myself on the products and differences, but their engineer was able to help me understand which product was best for my circumstances. A very short delay while my door was constructed to fit. When the company called to schedule the installation, they were able to complete the removal and installation in just a couple of hours, taking all the refuse with them. Installation and seals seem perfect,reducing drafts, resulting in a thirty degree difference in inside temps in the garage! I had used this company before for new opener, and had been very satisfied with their work. The new door is extremely efficient, yet lighter and smoother operating than the original. I might not need their help again for many more years to come!

After calling several companies that offer garage door services, D&D was the last to get back to me - the next day but gave me an estimate to replace the cables on my door. Since the doors are about 30 years old, they have many problems and if we planned to stay here longterm, they should probably be replaced. D&D made the appointment and was here, on time, the next day at the time agreed. After looking over the situation and discussing options, the job was completed to my satisfaction and the mechanic took the time to add a support to the repaired door and replace a handle on the other. My cost would have been within the estimate except I added some repairs to the second door. My total cost was less than any other estimate I had received by phone and included more repairs! I would use D&D Doors, Inc again in a heartbeat.

Don Wilson came to my house to look at my garage doors, which had been installed by a competitor many years ago. He was honest and told me the doors were in good shape, and recommended only mouldings to keep the wind and weather out. A few days later, one of his men came to install the mouldings and they did keep the garage warmer when winter arrived. For some reason, one of the mouldings developed a crack, however. When I called Don about it, he immediately sent someone out to replace the defective moulding and inspect the others at no cost. The second winter, there were no further problems.

The garage doors are great and function well. The opener's backup battery is terrific and worked as promised during an extended outage. When the installer first arrived he said that the garage ceiling was too low and that he wouldn't be able to install the doors. We had to call the salesman who sold us the doors and have him come to the house. He took care of the issue.The installer left a lot of cardboard behind from the door boxes - which were quite large. We had been told that everything would be taken away.

Very professional, responsive, timely, clean company. It was a pleasure doing business with them & we would recommend them highly.

Overall the work went well. The price was right and they installed a beautiful gargae door. The owner actually came to our house himself to check over the work. They were very courteous, prompt, and came when they said they would.
