Description of Work: Did shoddy workmanship when installing ducts to our upstairs. A lot of wasted heat coming out into our closet. Can't even get around the duct to wrap it.

Description of Work: We have used Bottini for our fuel oil and service for over 8 years and have been generally happy with their service. They are not cheap but they are reliable and professional.

Description of Work: I recently switched my yearly oil provider to Bottini Fuel. They will automatically deliver my heating oil. I cannot yet assess the level of their ongoing service until June of next year since deliveries will begin in the Fall. However, I was able to get a better price from them than I've paid elsewhere for the past 3 years from one of their competitors. Additionally, they will lock in a set price but I do not need to prepay the cost for the year in advance. They will bill me for each delivery on an as-used basis. Their staff has been very helpful and knowledgeable, at least at this initial stage. I will check back and update.

Description of Work: I like Bottini Fuel because they give their customers a variety of payment options. I buy the premium service plan so that they are available 24 hours a day should a problem arise (and it has, as the furnace is 12 years old.) This includes yearly maintenance of my furnace, and only once in 12 years has a a service man done a poor job with this. One fellow was very competent, and I can request him specifically. The automatic fuel delivery schedule works very well, and has never left me with an empty tank!

Description of Work: We've been customers for years. When we ran out of fuel on a cold winter night, they wanted $125 extra to deliver. They finally agreed to come for no extra charge, but it wasn't a good experience. |We pay a monthly average estimated amount and they panic whenever the winter payments are less than the actual amount, even though we are way ahead during the summer.

Description of Work: We have a service contract with Bottini for our oil furnace and fuel. We moved into our house almost a year ago and inherited a pretty hokey old furnace that has broken down several times. They have always been responsive when we call for a repair (someone is usually at the house within a few hours) and they have always got us up and running. We never received in writing the details of our service contract (my husband was given information verbally over the phone) which I find a little odd. However, we are happy with the service contract performance...it has covered all of the parts and labor so far. Several of the techs that came over recommended we replace our furnace. We have been trying to work with Bottini to do that. I called and left a message for Sales; my call was never returned. Then one of the service techs said he would make sure I got a call...again, no call from Sales. Finally, my husband was able to get a call back and the Sales guy came over to discuss a quote. The quote was expensive...there was at least a $1500 mark-up on the furnace (compared to what we could buy the same furnace for on-line. Obviously, they can buy it cheaper than we can) and more materials such as copper pipe than would seem reasonably necessary for the job. My husband tried to discuss this with the Sales guy and got into phone tag exchanges between him and his secretary (who doesn't give out their cell number nowadays?!). As a result, we are forced to shop around and deal with a company that is more accessible and more responsive. It would be easy to keep us as customers...answer our calls and charge a fair price for a furnace replacement. We have a large home and so spend a lot of money on fuel...isn't it worthwhile hanging onto customers like us?
