+ -1 moreWithin a week he got the kit and we set a date for the next day. Two very nice and professional men came the next day on time to put in the transfer kit. They worked for about 4 hours and did a great job. Before they were done, they even helped to open the box that contained my new generator, put on the wheels, pour in the gas that was needed and hooked it all up while I watched, making sure I knew how to do it on my own when power goes out! THAT really impressed me. There are not a lot of companies that will take the time to set something up that you did not buy from them. But they went through every detail and showed me how to turn on the generator, plug it in and then turn off the main power to the house while turning on my new interlock kit. Before they left they asked if I had ANY questions that I was confused about and made sure those questions were answered. Giving me their business card they said I could call anytime if I had more questions to ask or any other problems. Again, I was very impressed by their good manners and great working ethic. I would hire them again in a New York minute!
Description of Work: I had called around to get estimates to put in an interlock kit on my electric panel in order to connect my new generator when we get another power outage. I had three different companies come out to the house to see what what would be needed . Mike, from Olympic, was very thorough and the next day sent an email with a full estimate. I waited about a month or so before calling back to hire him. I was impressed by the fact that he was going to make sure that I understood how to set up the generator (a 5500 Briggs & Stratton portable) and get power to the house when needed. Other companies might have just come out to install the kit and be done with it, but he was going the extra mile to be sure I knew all I needed to know about setting up the generator. He told me all he needed to do was to order the kit and then he'd call to set up a date.
