Renaissance Tile and Stone

Description of Work: Johnny removed the existing tile down to the subfloor and installed new slate tile. Johnny also grouted and sealed the tile, installed a threshold and trimmed closet doors to fit. He paid special attention to making sure that the existing moulding didn't have to be disturbed. All in all, an amazing job, as usual. Johnny is the very best tile man in the Rochester area. This is the second time we've used his services. He's very busy, but always worth waiting for!

Description of Work: Previously we had Johnny Epps, the owner, renovate a kitchen, dining area, hallway, mud room and bathroom. He had to remove all the tile on the walls and the the material on the floors and replace them with ceramic tiles, creating a more complex and updated design. A relative was moving into the unit after completing graduate school so the unit was empty and we trusted him with the key and let him work at his leisure. The young relative had never done a remodeling project so she was so glad that Johnny was patient with her and gave her suggestions which definitely improved the project. He suggested things that she didn't know could be done with tile. This time we were renovating a bathroom and were so impressed with Johnny's previous work that we called him to work with us as we planned the renovations. It was a basement bathroom which needed full tiling around the tub and around the rest of the walls. He had to remove some of the existing cement board, remove the tub surround system, smooth out the walls, level the floor, install radiant heat. put in a new shower curtain rod, install a mosaic border and a pencil rail and seal all the tile.
