Full house siding job was done well and quickly once it got started. Joel was thorough and made sure everything's was completed as requested. Downsides, be prepared for workers to be on location from 8am to 8pm or later. Also, had to wait almost 8 months for the job to start after the initial estimated start time. I suppose it's a testament to their work that they are booked (maybe overbooked?). Would recommend provided you aren't on a timeline and can take an off-site vacation while they work!

Used for new roof and gutters. The actual install went well. However, there were two follow-up issues on the project that were just ignored. Initial response was they would be taken care of but were not after several weeks. Repeated emails, texts and calls were not returned. Very surprising after good communication prior to the job. To not even receive a reply is so unprofessional and surprising. I would not use or recommend this company. Quite disappointed.

Joel Ventura was very fast in his response and very honest. His price was fair not the cheapest not the most. He is very dedicated to his job he was here on Christmas eve for over 8 hours getting the job done. He told me to also call if we had any problems. The project was a complete success. I hired J Ventura Contracting to make a few changes to my home as well as update the flooring, kitchen cabinetry, and replaced my roof in preparation to selling my home. Joel was able to find the most economical, without sacrificing quality, route to finish the interior work needed to be done. Joel and his guys were efficient, provided great quality of work, and Joel really worked with me in ways that I didn't think a contractor would consider such as fixing miscellaneous things here and there that were not part of our original contract and did not charge me for them which I highly appreciate. J Ventura Contracting was very accommodating and patient with me even though I can be hard headed at times. I highly recommend using J Ventura Contracting for your remodeling and roofing needs. AAA service in my book.

I was fortunate to find J. Ventura Contracting through Angie's List. I originally planned to have a section repaired. Joel gave estimates for a repair or complete replacement of old shingles. I decided to go with the larger job instead of doing it piece-meal due to the reasonable cost. The crew members were friendly and did a good job with cleanup. I would definitely consider hiring them again.

Joel was lovely, savy, knowledgeable. I was extremely patient with his "workers" and him. One of his workers stole $140 out of my wallet from my purse on my bed. I have the ATM withdrawal receipt from that morning. I didn't report it because I felt sorry for the kid. It was also found that said worker was in trouble for stealing from his girlfriend's grandmother. That's when Joel believed me. He doubted me up to that point. His workers were roofers and admittedly had never done home remodeling. It showed. Because of the damage to my home and the threat to my pets (he left my gate open and dog escaped, 2 indoor cats fell through a screen not placed properly - FINALLY retrieved}. He did not finish on the date that he promised. He graciously removed the remaining balance of $1400 (questionable as I peruse the invoice). When I confronted him recently when I found out that my plumbing was not up to code, he resent the balance of the invoice to me (not showing that he waived that amount) and threatened to put a lien against my home and sue me for slander. I've not said a word to anyone because I'm scared to death. I'm trying to reach Angie's List. I've been unsuccessful. They recommended him. The next person may not be as strong as me. His work is horrible. I have pictures.

This was a great experience. Joel and his crew were very friendly and professional. It was very easy to get in contact with Joel, either through email or phone, and any questions or requests we had were answered quickly. The crew worked for two long days to get this job done and also were very thorough with the clean up of our property. We would definitely hire Joel again in the future and would highly recommend his company.

When I recently purchase a multi family home in Endicott, I was giving 6 contracting companies to do my roof, deck and updating my kitchen. Spending money always brings pain to the Wallet. But when there’s pain to your pocket and you’re not satisfied it hurts even more. The project went well, and the guys working there including the Owner Joel were very personable and pleasant, Joel although being around for only a few years now has an impressionable amount of experience for being the youngest contractor to bid on our project, also very competitively priced for the work performed, he kept us updated every step of the way and always kept his word and followed through with any promises. We opted to utilize the financing options J Ventura Cont. offered and it was a breeze, we were funded the next day and that allowed us to install new plywood sheets throughout the whole roof, being an older home it definitely needed it, id say he left quite an impression that i would write so much about a contractor. I would recommend Joel and his guys to anyone looking for any kind of work in their home.
