Description of Work: On 10/21/2015 I posted a review for this company and only today did I read it on Angie's list. After reading the company's reply I was confused as it appeared my comments were perceived as negative .That could not possibly be farther from the truth. I ended the review by saying their honesty was refreshing after the "con men who charged me $125 and fixed nothing." That was in reference to the locksmith who shamelessly ripped me off the day before. I was so pleased with them that they are in my contacts for future use. Boy was that lost in translation. Mea culpa! Never had to do this before. What is the best course of action? Remove previous post?

Description of Work: They replaced two security gates and fixed my patio door which didn't closed properly. I was extremely satisfied with their product, craftsmanship and attention to detail. The worker even installed my flag pole mount which fell during a storm at no extra charge. They went above and beyond to complete the job and I couldn't be happier with the end result

Description of Work: I found Woods Lock and Door on Angie's List. My front door and frame was replaced with a new one. The storm door which was in good condition was then re-installed. All new hardware was provided. The old door and materials were removed from the property. The work was well done and I felt the price was reasonable. I have some additional work to do and I plan to use Woods and Lock again.

Description of Work: I used Woods Lock & Door. I had them come and look at the front door, which they installed about 10 years ago, and there was no charge for it. They just came and looked at it.

+ 0 moreThis is the second time I've used this company. Both times the owner came. The first time the front door lock had come out of the wood door frame. He came promptly and fixed the door frame and it's been at least a year and we've had no problems. He also gave us a estimate for a new door in a room that currently has no door. The owner came again recently. He explained that one door required more work and noted the expected cost. I feel he is very trustworthy, which is important when using a locksmith, and knowledgeable. We asked him about fixing some other doors and he explained how he would go about fixing the doors, which are falling down, and the cost. I wish we had used them when we were doing the original construction work.
Description of Work: He checked all the door knobs in our house because the handles were falling off, or the doors were closing or locking. He re-aligned the doors, handles, and locks. Our house had settled a bit or the original contractor did not install things properly. He also made a new key for us.

+ 0 moreOn time, very neat. Replacing a door in an 85 year old, crooked house must be quite difficult. In my case the results were perfect. All the moldings, inside and out, were taken off and replaced as if nothing had happened. The door hangs perfectly and now uses the same key as the front door. It took one man about 5 hours to do the door install. Had a problem with the lock getting caught on the strike plate a couple days later. We called and an employee came by within an hour to tweak the plate and the weather-stripping.
Description of Work: Replace entry door and lock cylinders on another entry door.

+ -1 moreBoth installations were done in a timely manner. I called them back a few months after the installation of the front storm door because I could not remove the screen and install the glass pane into the door. They came the day after I called and performed the installation for me.
