We were recommended to use Papa and Sons by others in the area. They really lived up to their reputation and we are very pleased with the new roof and gutters. Our house is old and has evolved over time so it isn't always easy to find the best solution but everyone involved was invested in making things work. As an example, the re-positioning of the gutters was tricky but it looks much better and is more effective now. We always joke, especially having an old house, to 'take the quote and double it'. This was NOT the case with Papa & Sons. Before the work started there was a through review and if anything was uncertain we were advised before the work started and given a rough estimate of any issues. We couldn't see hidden problems but we knew they might be there and we could plan accordingly. Our final situation was that we came in on budget against the quote. Another thing that was important to me was that every night when I came home it was as if there wasn't any work happening. We also have a well and I asked if the roof could be made to match; not only did it match but they repainted it and added copper flashing to match the other features As a very happy customer I could keep going but a picture speaks a thousand words and I have uploaded some before and after photos.

Rob and team did an excellent job across-the-board. They were careful, thorough and neat, delivering what's truly a beautiful new roof on-time and on-budget. We asked Rob to make sure to highlight any potential issues that he could fix during the roofing process, and he found and fixed several weaknesses before they became problems. And despite having to tear off a 60-year-old slate roof, the team was careful and neat and damaged none of our landscaping. We are grateful for an A+ job.

Awesome staff very clean and professional

The entire process went smoothly from start to finish. I received three bids for the project. Rob Papa is the only one that provided a very detailed quote with information about insurance, clean up, and possible problem areas. During the install, the crew arrived on time every morning and took care to cover all landscaping. At the end of the day, the yard was left very tidy, gutters cleaned, and covers removed. The final cost was in line with the initial quote. I am very happy with the work that was done and would definitely hire again.

Rob and his crew (who we've used before for minor repairs) were just excellent - truly professional and we're really happy with the work. They helped us choose the exact finish and detailing, and patiently answered all of our questions (we had lots). We have no hesitation in recommending Papa & Sons.

it went well. it was a big job, which spanned over a week. we had a few issues that came up, such as rotting wood, and they were all addressed quickly and professionally. it was also a messy job, with nails, shingles and debris all over the place, but the guys were pretty thorough in cleaning it up at the end of each day. It was hard with 2 dogs at home, but the guys were very cooperative about moving the truck so we can leave with the dogs and take them on walks away from the property. overall, it was a professional job and they always stayed in touch with us about issues, next steps, etc. It was also an expensive job, although I feel that they did as good of a job as possible trying to keep the costs from escalating as issues came up.

Papa & Son was great to work with. Having dealt with other contractors who never call you back, start late, and drag the work on for weeks longer than originally planned, it was SO nice to work with Rob and his crew. He told me in advance when he planned to start--and then did. He was punctual, showed up every day, and got the job done beautifully and on time. He used quality materials and charged a fair price. And he couldn't have been nicer. Highly recommended.

Everyone was very professional. Robert Papa was the person I dealt with about arranging everything but he was hands on also. He was very helpful picking out a color. He went on the computer with me and pointed out a color I hadn't even thought of and that was the one I ended up using. They were consistently on time and cleaned up every day after themselves. I would use them again in a heartbeat. Fortunately, they use the best GAF materials and the roof has a lifetime guarantee.

Before work began, Rob sent me proposals in writing, and insurance paper upon request. Work time is a chilly winter morning. Rob's team arrived earlier than schedule, organized themselves in two task groups, one started on the side of the house, the other one on the back. These two groups worked their way and met in the front. During the repair / replace process, Rob showed me how they did it, what to look out for, and why they needed two men on each ladder. Guys cleaned up my gutter, cleaned debris and failed slates, and everything was done in two hours in the winter chill. Just a very congenial group of folks to work with, the overall work quality is good, process is pleasant and hassle-free. I would recommend Rob's team to any one seeking a decent and reliable roofer. Don't take me wrong, Rob is quite sharp - I believe he chose honesty to be their ethical trademark.
