John Doyle came to provided an estimate, he told me a specific time he would be here for the estimate and was here on time, if not a little early. He was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. He assessed my homes service and spent plenty of time discussing all my options and what the best course of action was. He was ready to begin the process immediately. Once I selected him for the work he pushed con ed to come out and unlock the meter, filed all the paperwork and got the ball moving quickly. He never pressured me and always returned my calls by the end of the same day. He worked with me to get me the exact install I wanted and was willing to let me control all the particulars of how I wanted everything installed and what products I wanted installed (as long as it was within code and a reasonable request). I have a good base of electrical know-how myself, so I knew what I wanted and what was reasonable requests considering the scope of the work being done. He and his asst showed up early and worked diligently through the day to make the switch. Everything was done calmly and thoughtfully, and the entire process was very pleasant. He even offered to take care of some aesthetic improvements that were needed because of changing the service wire to the house. This saved me the risk and expense of climbing up near the dangerous service wires. He and his asst also proved much advice about other aspects of the electricity system in my house. They were done faster than expected the job was done perfectly. When it was done, they cleaned up and promptly completed the administrative requirements to get the job inspected and properly filed. Everything was smooth. I highly recommend them if you want to be able to just deal with someone reasonably, face to face and without a lot unnecessary bureaucracy and nickel and diming. In the end they did a great job and they were on time and on budget. You cant ask for more than that.

I do not remember the price but I do remember it was reasonable. The man came when he said he would and replaced the fixture without a hitch. He was neat and cleaned up well before he left. I will use him again and recommend him to others.
Description of Work: This contractor came out and replaced a very old light fixture in the ceiling of my kitchen. He spent about 2 hours completing the job and took away all the used material and waste when he left.
