 + -1 moreWhile I was upset that my problem was misdiagnosed, I'm a kind person...I called Goold and said that the problem wasn't resolved or diagnosed properly and asked what they could do. They said "the boss will call you back". Well, three phone calls over 5 days and still no call back. I finally called again and the same guy, not the boss, said I'm out of luck and it's already been paid for and rushed me off the phone. I couldn't even believe they didn't even offer to come back to the house (for free) to see if they couldn't try again. My $1600 worth of well service went to their competition, Hanson, and I was happy to give it to them. Hanson was kind, friendly and ONE guy, Todd, came over to do the work and TAUGHT me everything that he was doing and checking. Literally a night and day comparison to Goold.
Description of Work: My home has a well, pump and water system that was installed by Goold. I was having an issue with the well and called Goold since their name was on the tank. Two guys came over, one of which was just there to talk...the other of which wasn't sure where to start. They looked at the pressure tank, said the bladder was perfectly fine (their competition, who ultimately did the work (Hanson)) said the bladder pressure was wrong (should have been 2lbs less than the pressure regulator low). Then, Goold checked the well pump. By checking, all they did was drain the pressure tank and refill it. Hanson, properly checked the pump and replaced the bad check-valves and lines (which was the real problem). Goold didn't even bother to go into my garage to look at the actual well!! When Goold left, they literally told me it's something i will have to "deal with" and that one of them had a similar problem in their own home and just "tells his wife to 'deal with it'". $130 later, i got a new pressure valve (the cheap kind and Hanson replaced that, too since a liquid one is a much more true read).

 + -1 moreBrent and Chip of Goold Well company just finished drilling a 340' deep well for us. They were great from start to finish. I highly recommend this company if your looking for any type of well work in the Berkshires and nearby NY State.
