Description of Work: He was hired to do a complete install of all plumbing and heating system and fixtures. Also whole house Radiant heat. He was a friend of over 35 yrs. I had him give his est. He came in with a good estimate compared to the other contractor. As the build started, my builder questioned his work and work ethic. Because he was a friend, I took those concerns from the builder as usual personality conflicts that happen between contractors. I would routinely have to call Gabe to tell him to get moving because he was holding things up. He even got caught lieing about being on the job, when he wasn't there.Moving along there were many more issues, but I trusted that he was going to do the right thing and get the job done correctly. Shortly after we moved in problems started showing up. He had to have someone else come to check on the radiant heat, because he couldn't figure it out. That was when I found out all the things that were wrong. One of the most dangerous of the problems was that there was a gas leak. When the guy that he called to check on the radiant heat found the leak, he told that guy not to tell us. Our builder overheard that conversation and told us. That is when I called up Gabe and fired him.Since that time, We have had to document and fix over $35000.00 of his shotty and incorrectly installed eqiupment. To many things to tell them all in this complaint. We have contacted a lawyer and will pursue a judgement against him
