It went perfectly well, as every time I call on this business to take care of things needed improved in my place...Very Highly recommended , very happy with work and services, as are many many in our town, who he has done beautiful and unique carpentry and building for.

When he came to give my daughter an estimate he said it would be $7-$8,000 to replace the floor in the upstairs bathroom and redo the downstairs bathroom and sheetrock the downstairs bathroom. Also do new plumbing throughout the house. He expected my daughter to remove the ceilings to get at the plumbing between the floors and she had to remove a ceiling in another room so he could put a vent in for a fan. The local supply store would not give him credit for the supplies so we had to charge the supplies to our account. We took the trash to the landfill (to the tune of over $150). He asked for $4,000 down payment and the next week for $2,000 more. He told her initially the job would be done in 2 weeks. Then he said he could sheetrock the upstairs bathroom but it would cost an extra $2,000. When I asked how come he didn't do the initial clean up and taking stuff to the landfill he said that it would have cost her extra. I said he had not mentioned that in his price. He said he did and I said there were 3 of us that heard him and he did not. He and his assistant took 5 and 1/2 weeks to complete the job and never worked a full week and only 5-6 hours per day. Also, my daughter went without a toilet for 2-3 days and she was lucky that we only live 2 doors down and she stayed here during the day to run her daycare.. They were also without water several times. The second time he told her she would have to be without a toilet overnight she told him no and he was very upset. Then he asked me for $2,000 more and I said no he couldn't have any more money until the job was finished. Needless to say he hurried, did a terrible job. Hung a medicine cabinet and drilled 3 holes in the middle and filled them with putty, after trying to find a 2x4, the upstairs toilet leaks both from the tank and from the seal. When he installed the lineoleum in both bathrooms, he cut too far into the doorways and she only noticed that the following day. When I finally did give him a check I only gave him enough to cover up to $10,000 and gave him a copy of the bill for the supplies. He was very upset and said that I was supposed to buy those supplies and also pay for his supplies which he purchased elsewhere and gave me copies. I had asked him for copies of any bills he had. In hindsight, my daughter did not get anything in writing and should have. He told me his lawyer would be contacting me and I told him that was fine because my lawyer would be talking to his! Also, I questioned the electrician that he chose for the job and he said he was a good one. He made several goofs and I am calling him tomorrow to let him know that he has to redo some wiring that he just put up under 2x8s and didn't drill through them.and we need that done before we can put more sheetrock up. I certainly would not recommend him to anyone.
