Original date had to be changed due to sudden illness of technician. They contacted us to reschedule but we had already driven the six hours to get there. We understood they had no control over the situation and made arrangements for a neighbor to let them in on the rescheduled day. To their credit, they told us they were going to comp us for the inconvenience. Since I had already purchased a coupon for the service through Angie's List they said we would receive a refund. We have not received it as of today.

This service was excellent. This is our first season with 40 year-old fireplaces and Curt was extremely helpful in explaining potential issues and how to operate and maintain these fireplaces. We also discussed options for masonry projects, for a new hearth and re-facing the exterior chimney, services which Sootbusters also offers. I highly recommend Sootbusters to anyone in need of this type of service. We look forward to working with Sootbusters in the future.

Found them on Angie's List, called them, had an inspection, then cleaning the next week. They were on time, neat and polite.

Very good experience. Friendly, professional. Cleaned up completely. Only concern is that he arrived about an hour early. Not a problem, since I was off today, but if I'd been working I might have not been here on time and missed him.

I was very pleased with the service that was performed by Sootbusters. My phone call for pricing & service availability was returned promptly. The crew of 2 arrived as scheduled. They were very professional & friendly. The team took great care on leaving the exterior & interior of their service in great condition. I will use them again!

We had large chunks of creosote coming down the chimney and later had what was suspected to be a chimney fire (15hrs after last fire in woodstove, felt heat coming from wall on 2nd floor). They came out and looked up to find that the chimney had not been swept before our liner had been installed by other contractor and that the liner had not been insulated. They came out later and removed the liner and insulated it (looked good, although I am no expert), brushed the chimney, and re-installed the liner. It was expensive, but I feel a lot better about it. No more chunks falling down except for some small crumbles that I guess were remnants, but even that is about over a month later. The only thing I didn't like was that when they hooked the woodstove back up they did so with it too close to the fireplace, but I fixed that in about 20 minutes with a $12 piece of stovepipe. I will get them to do future repairs and maintenance.

Curt was the technician and he was very informative. Unfortunately, he didn't have good news for me, but I'm paying him for accuracy, not necessarily what I want to hear. He told me they would follow up and his office did, on the time line Curt noted.
