Not good. Rude n unprofessional

I called to get an estimate on replacing my well pump. I already had an estimate from another company who had come out and looked at the well at no charge. This other company showed me the problems and explained in detail what would be needed and why. The key point was that the connector from the well riser to the house supply pipe was aluminum, severely corroded and would need to be replaced. This would require digging down to the connector. The Barber & Deline service man gave me a estimate over the phone, but wasn't interested in hearing what I had learned about the problems with the well. He assured me that replacing the pump would be no problem. As a result, he came on a service call, discovered he could not pull up the old pump because of the corroded connector, and charged me $270 for a service call. I feel that, under the circumstances, there should have been no charge, or a substantially reduced charge. If he had listened to what I had to say about the corroded connector, he may have realized he might not be able to replace the pump. At least not without the fitting being dug out first.

We called them on March 31st and I told them I would like to have our well checked out and that I need a water system , either filters or a water softer. So I never got a call back.

We called Barber and Deline when we needed a new well for my parent's residence in LaFayette. Right off the bat, the person that answered the phone was curteous, polite and professional. She took my information and told me that Bob Lilly would contact me as soon as he returned to the office. Bob contacted me, as promised, and we set up a meeting at my parent's residence. Bob was also very professional and polite on the phone. One the day of our meeting, Bob arrived on time, and he located the best place to dig the new well. He took the time to answer all of my questions. The area that we live in is known to have deep wells - ours went 600 feet. Barber and Deline had excellent equipment - it looked brand new - and certainly capable of completing the task. The well crew members were very polite and knowledgeable. They took the time to answer any questions I had. I had to leave the site, and Barber & Deline kept me up to date on the progress of the well. I finally received a call from the office that told me the crew hit water and we had a well! The person on the phone seemed genuinely happy to give us the good news. After the well was drilled, another crew came up to the house to dig the trench for the lines and to connect the well to the existing system. Again, each one of them carried themselves in a professional manner and were very patient with our multiple questions. They seemed like a group that really knew their jobs and enjoyed them as well. The plumbing work inside was very neatly done. Bob Lilly suggested using some of our existing equipment to save money. It was nice to see that he was concerned about doing the "right thing" rather than unecessarily replacing good equipment. The end result was a well and pump system that worked flawlessly. They even did a great job cleaning up the yard from all the digging! If anyone is looking for a great company to perform well or pump work, call Barber and Deline. We were very pleased with each and every member of the staff that we dealt with. They take a great deal of pride in their work, and it shows. Great people! Great Company!

I was having problems with my water purification system, getting air in the lines. Barber and Deline is a well established company being in the well drilling business for many year and I was pleased to see that they now sell and maintenance water purification systems. They quoted me a service call price of $65, which was must less than other competitors. The repair person showed up on time, was very thorough and fixed the problem. He also retested my water, showed me his test results and explained everything, confirming that my water system was working correctly. While he was there, I asked him to check the well cap on the pipe in my yard, as I knew it needed to be replaced. He took care of everything and I paid for his service and a new well cap that totaled approx. $100. He even went back to the shop to get the well cap and came back to install it. Excellent and competent service !
