New York Carpentry has all the characteristics you look for when having work done on your house. Their work was of the highest quality. They were honest, meticulous, punctual, cleaned up in such a way you would never have know they were there. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.

We're very pleased with New York Carpentry's (Flavio Pinham) work. Flavio was personable, punctual and professional. He took the time to explain the merits of available material to use in replacing or repairing the problem. Flavio and his crew were always polite, responsive and extraordinarily neat. In the rare event of some minor item not addressed Flavio promptly returned to remedy the situation. Flavio knows what has to be done and makes sure the work is done right. We've now used New York Carpentry twice and couldn't be happier with the quality, craftsmanship and attention to detail. We heartily recommend New York Carpentry without reservation.

Their carpentry skills were excellent, neat, thorough, with an exceptional eye for detail. They spent about 5 continuous hours on the job to make sure everything was done right.

From the moment I contacted him to inquire about the work I wanted to do he was completely responsive and went out of his way to make sure that I was comfortable with the scope of the work. He started and completed the project exactly on schedule and his team arrived promptly each morning to complete the job. Flavio's attention to detail is reflected in all aspects of the job which exceeded my expectations. I was so happy with the way the project came out that I just hired Flavio to redo my bathroom! Flavio's work was meticulous, he matched wood grain, color and style to my space so it was amazingly well blended into my rooms. He was careful when working not to bump into my walls etc. Easy to communicate with and he is very responsive to questions. On time and finished work within time frame expected. Flavio, the owned of New York Carpentry, and his workers and contactors did excellent work. His estimates were accurate and the attutudes of everyone were very professional. The owner, Flavio Pinhan, came promptly to see what needed to be done and then emailed us his estimate the next day. He answered our questions and agreed to our request to substitute an upgraded lumber for the porch steps, without adding to the estimated cost. His estimate was about 10% higher than another we had gotten, but we decided to hire him based upon his stellar Angie's List reviews. Flavio was able to start the work a few days later. He took pictures and measurements of our old porch, and then he and his crew dismantled it down to the stone foundation and took away all the debris. They then replicated the porch, using high-quality materials. His painters were very good. Because Flavio felt that the look of the new porch was diminished by the old paint on the front door surround, he had his painter repaint that as well, at no additional cost. They also added grit to the paint of the porch's floor and steps to add grip underfoot, again at no additional cost. The new porch looks terrific and feels very solid and well-built. From start to finish, the project took five days. Flavio and his crew were all friendly, polite, professional, hard-working, and nice to have around. They did a good job of cleaning up the premises at the end of each workday and at the end of the job. We will definitely hire Flavio again, and we have already spoken to him doing some other carpentry, both inside and outside the house. He is a person who wants to provide high-quality craftsmanship, and he succeeds. We give New York Carpentry our highest recommendation.

OUR EXPERIENCE WAS OUTSTANDING AND THE QUALITY OF WORK WAS SUPERB!! For starters, Flavio came prepared with several design options for us to choose from and had great pictures to attest to the work he has done in the past. My wife and I are often indecisive when it comes to designing our home, and it was very helpful to have Flavio walk us through every single detail, such as the types of wood that could be used, paint colors, and design ideas that fit with the style of our home. It was like having an interior designer and carpenter all in one. As for the quality of his work, it was superb and flawless. It's rare to see such high precision and attention to detail without any mistakes - it truly exceeded all of our expectations. I picked Flavio from all of his great reviews on Angies list. Every positive review is true. I highly recommend him. He came to our house saw were were in a bind and made time to help us and complete the work that needed to be done in order to finish our Kitchen install. Not only did he do all the work in a timely manner, they left the job site clean,had great suggestions, fixed imperfections left by the old contractor and most importantly Falvio and his team are genuinely good people you can trust. I have already scheduled him for another job and anytime I need work done on the house I will call him.

They did a great job. The door and windows look brand new! We are thrilled to have found someone we can trust to do the great carpentry work with a reasonable price. Planning to call Flavio back to do some more work during summer.

Working with Flavio was again a great experience. Eddy did a masterful job with the wood stain and Flavio is wonderful with scheduling, communication, etc. They are both courteous (they taped off the area being worked on with hanging plastic to control any fumes) and are careful to ask for customer feedback as the work is being done. We will always call Flavio and New York Carpentry when we need help with projects around the house.

Flavio showed up for the initial estimate exactly when he said he would. He gave us a very fair price and charged us exactly what he said he would with no surprises. During the job I had added a few odds and ends and he gave us a very fair price for the additional work. His workers always showed up on time and were very courteous and professional, especially Romeo. They also did a great job cleaning up after themselves. I was so impressed with the work and value for what we received that I am hiring them to replace a bathroom shower in the coming weeks. I would highly recommend New York Carpentry.

I originally hired New York Carpentry to install a Dutch Door for the back entrance of my house and the quality of their work far surpassed my expectations, so I also had them perform all the work for my kitchen remodel project. They installed the wood flooring and crafted custom cabinets to to fit some awkward, previously unusable spaces in the kitchen. The carpentry work that Flavio and Anthony did was absolutely beautiful, with incredible attention to detail, and they are meticulous. Flavio and Anthony are a pleasure to work with. They were always willing and available to answer all my questions or provide guidance on materials, etc throughout the project. I have already asked them to install the tile back splash for the kitchen and if I have any additional projects in the future they will be the 1st people I call. I highly recommend them!

It was great. Flavio came over the day after I contacted him and reviewed the job with me. He emailed an estimate the next day. We scheduled the work for a couple of days later. Flavio suggested a different type of trim from what I was thinking of; he was correct, it looks better than what I had picked out. Also he suggested adding more insulation in the laundry room and included that as an option in his estimate. The two person crew who were repairing the dry wall and painting showed up on time and got right to work. Flavio came a bit later; he did the trim work and installed one of the grates. All work was done professionally, and they cleaned up the work site nicely. It was a pleasant experience.

Flavio came to give an estimate the next day after we spoke and provided a reasonable invoice for the mentioned work. He showed up on time that Saturday and started the work. He came with one other guy. They were very professional and worked all day. The work was finished in 2 days. They were both very nice and did excellent work. I am very pleased with the job that I asked if he could help finish my basement stairs. He provided me with another guy that came and did my basement stairs for a very good price. That was a 3 day job. Overall I would definitly use his services for future work.

We have used Flavio in the past and again he comes through for us. We had a house fire a few years ago and the builder that rebuilt the house did less that a stellar job on the crown molding. The joints were horrible! We call Flavio in to see what he could do. I myself was sceptical of what could be done because the joints were so off. Flavio came in and refilled, and resanded all the joints. Then he repainted the entire length of molding in three rooms. The results are amazing. You can not tell there was ever a problem with the molding in the past. He also hung and stained two new floating shelves in our bedroom. Again we could not be more pleased. Flavio from New York Carpentry comes with our highest recommendations.

Flavio and his crew did a great Job. I initially used his company to install crown molding and base molding throughout various parts of the house. I was so impressed with the attention to detail, neatness and quality of work that I hired him to paint the interior of the house as well. I am glad I did. The same attention to detail and care was evident. I will use them again for my next project.

The job went very well and on schedule. What a difference it made-much more organized and neat. It was a great selling feature, my home sold in two days for over asking price! I have used NY Carpentry for two years now for all my carpentry needs and plan to use them when I move to my new home.
