+ 0 moreTom is such a professional!! Scaffolding was built and the chimney was taken apart piece by piece and a sigh of relief was had by all when the area of the missing bricks was reached. Everything was taken into consideration including the flowers in my mother's garden. Work was done in a very clean manner and safety was always taken into consideration. When all the work was done you would never have know someone was there working. Tom and his worker always arrived on time and our project was done in a timely manner. Communication from request of an estimate to the finish of the project was always professional and timely too. Any issues were resolved easily with understanding, discussion, and agreement of both parties. I would highly recommend Tom to anyone and I would also consider him for my masonry needs in the future.
Description of Work: My mother needed to have a chimney taken down but it was rather a dangerous job. Bricks had fallen out of the chimney and the chimney had been extended higher above the house. Also, the chimney was already leaning away from the house. Adding to the situation the garage was very close to the house and there was not much room for anything to fall without hitting something. It was quite a job considering how unstable the chimney was.

Description of Work: Tom Duffee was extremely knowledgable and professional. He did not try to sell me what I didn't need. In fact, he showed me that my block walls were sound and were waterproofed and nothing really needed to be done unless I wanted to do some painting for aesthetics. We opted to do the painting ourselves but I would not hesitate to use Duffee's for any future needs and would definitely recommend them.

+ 1 moreI was having new roof put on my house and the old chimney didn't have any flashing what so ever and it need to be repaired badly. Tom Duffee came and did the work. Very pleased with the work, excellent job!!! Duffee Contracting is very professional and honest. I would hire him again.

+ -1 moreI will be recommending Tom Duffee as a true artisan. He was professional, efficient and punctual. Tom was also responsive to a call after the work was completed when a minor defect was noted in the curing concrete. He repaired the area with a small patch of portland cement. I am pleased with the final product. Thank you Tom.
Description of Work: Complete replacement of front entry sidewalk. Work involved excavating and preparing the base, concrete forms with new slope and overall design. Tom gave a professional estimate, suggested alternate design ideas and presented a written estimate prior to the start of work. The sidewalk was widened & curve lines were added as requested. Tom and his helper were prompt, efficient and obviously took pride in their work. The finished sidewalk is beautiful, a true asset and upgrade to our home.

Description of Work: Called Duffee's Masonry due to seeing a sign in a neighbor's yard down the street. Left a voice mail but received no return call from Tom Duffee. Called two more times (on other days) attempting to give him a chance to reply. I left three messages on his voice mail total, but not one reply. Very unprofessional.
