Description of Work: Virginia did a color consultation then did the painting and wallpapering. She was tremendously helpful in picking out colors as we changed to an updated style in our family room and kitchen. She worked very hard and was totally committed and enthusiastic about our project. She was also helpful in providing other contacts for fixing various things in house related to project. I am so glad I have had Virginia's support as I had been unsure about the changes and now can proceed with confidence and a clearer direction.

Description of Work: Virginia is very talented, energetic and a very positive person; a great person to be around. She noticed some of the colors we had used to decorate with, and tried to put them into our possibilities. We are having our entire condo painted by Virgina and so far she has finished the guest room and it's attached bathroom. She works very hard, takes no lunch and is here from 10am till 4 pm. Her work is pure art. She uses paint to make some beautiful magic in her work and in our home. We are looking forward to having our foyer, living/dining room, kitchen and the master bed and bath finished. Virginia is just a treasure to meet and someone who is a wonderful person to know. Don't hesitate if you need painting done, to hire her. She is an angel!!

Description of Work: My experience with Virginia was very positive. I had a large area within my home, with many conflicting design elements that needed to reviewed. + 0 moreWhen we first met with Virginia she took a great deal of time going through the rooms we wanted painted and talking with us to get a sense of what our color preferences were. She came prepared with lots of samples and her professional portfolio we could browse through. We had read about her work on line so we asked her what colors she suggested. We then decided to go with her suggestions. WOW...she is truly amazing!!!!! The colors are not only breathtaking, but they blend together beautifully. Virginia's attention to detail and flawless technique improved our home immensely. Her partner Gary repaired some seams and cracks throughout and did an awesome job as well! In addition, every day throughout the project when my husband and I came home from work we found all items neatly stored for the next day and no debris was left anywhere. They were immaculate! We can't wait to have Virginia and Gary back to paint the upstairs of our home!!!

Most recently she returned to our home for painting. Her work is impeccable, she is neat and timely and has a very good eye for color. The rooms that were wall papered are still in good condition. I understand she is now providing design work. I would recommend her without hesitation and would certainly use her for any of our future needs.

The kitchen included lots of corners, crown molding, woodwork, doorways, etc. We discussed colors and kept in touch each step of the way. Virginia's work is always perfection. She has the key to my home and I trust her implicitly to come - work - and go without any issues. Great Job!

+ 2 moreShe is not only the designer but she does the work herself, except to make the window treatments. She did all the paper and painting and hired an electrician to do some electrical work in the dining room and the seamstress for the window treatments. She has good ideas for design and can carry them out and get you whatever you need. She is trustworthy as I left her alone in the house while I worked and I came home every night to a nice and neat house. She is very neat. She is meticulous about her work. I was very pleased with the woodwork as she took the time to sand it down and make it nice and smooth before she painted.
Description of Work: Virginia redid my dining room, stripping wallpaper, hanging new wallpaper, painting walls, repairing cracks in ceiling, sanding down woodwork and doors, and painting the woodwork. She directed me in paint and wallpaper choices, handled the design and fabric choice for the valances and hung them. She also did some finish work in my kitchen for a previous contractor who did a shoddy job.

She sent estimate when she said, called when she said, followed-up when she said, and arrived early for the job every day (I loved that). Not only is she professional and gifted at her craft, she is a very warm person. I actually liked having her in my home. Very honest and trustworthy. I wouldn't hesitate to hire her again and I highly endorse her services.

After an hour and 15 minutes she left and went to look at some furniture stores and emailed me the pictures of furniture she thought would work.. I would have liked more information regarding what to put on my walls and how and where to hang pictures but otherwise she was helpful.

+ 0 moreMy 1920s home contains beautiful detailed woodwork and high ceilings. I took a lot of time to select wallpaper that complements the style and decor of the era. To be sure - even the most beautiful paper can be a disappointment if it's not hung correctly. It was clear that I needed someone with experience. Virginia came to my home at the agreed upon time to measured the foyer, above the stairs, and the upstairs landing. She calculated the number of wallpaper rolls needed for the project, as well as needed wall preparation. Based on her calculations, Virginia provided a quote. Virginia and I negotiated the project start date and I provided her with my house key. She called at the end of each day with an update on how the project was progressing. Each day when I came home, I was more impressed than the day before. The wallpaper was hung perfectly around all of the detailed woodwork, the wallpaper patterns were matched up perfectly, and the seams were absolutely invisible! I never saw any job this well done. It was spectacular! The project took a week, but it was well worth it. Virginia is a master at hanging wallpaper. I'm so glad I selected her. She is a true professional - skilled, honest, dependable, and most importantly interested in doing the best job possible! I've already asked Virginia to prepare and paint two ceilings - she's also a painter!

+ 1 moreMy first goal was to decide on what colors for my living room , dining room and family room. Virgina called shortly after I contacted her and we set up a appointment to meet and see my home. She brought her color wheel and we choose some colors. The next step was that she made up color boards for the rooms and also brought along a surprise for the dining room...wall paper. . After that presentation she told me to think about her suggestions and she would contact me the following week. With much agony I did choose all of her suggestions and I am so happy. I was a bit hesitant to use the wall paper but I am so glad I did. Even my husband, who thought that wall paper was not such a hot idea, loved the finished results. We are happy with all of our rooms. Virgina has a flair for coordinating colors, decor and is able to pull everything together. She was wonderful to work ethic. She is a hard worker and knows her stuff. This was the first time I ever used a interior color designer and I am glad I did.

Every wallpaper she has put up for us is perfectly matched, smoothly applied, and stays attached. She also has a designer's eye and can give you good advice on what will work well in your space and what won't. We have never used her for interior painting, which is another of her specialties, but I 'm sure she would do an excellent job with that as well.

+ 0 moreThe house is very old and there were many layers of paint and a lot of sloppy putty work done by the previous owners. It took a lot of work but the house now looks fantastic. There was a hallway that we really wanted to look nice but there were so many issues and places where the surface was very uneven and we knew that just painting it would not completely fix the walls. Virginia thought to use American Clay and the result is perfectly even and beautiful. She's also done interior decorating with us and has an eye for furniture and colors. As a painter, she can help you, not only decide what type of look you want, but also make sure the proper steps are taken to ensure it's done right.
Description of Work: I hired her for an interior design job that involved a lot of restoration, painting, and applying American clay.
