Description of Work: Inspected basement walls and drew up plans to reinforce them and rebuild stairs from basement to garage. Obtained permit from town and inspected work of contractor to ensure work was done according to design plan. Passed Town inspection. Very happy with John. He kept me aware of issues and consulted to ensure I would be pleased with final result

Description of Work: John Steele came to assess some possible structural issues. He did a very thorough inspection of all the areas and spoke at length with us answering all our questions. At our request, he provided a detailed report and construction drawings to give to contractor to follow for the work needed. All around excellent and highly professional.

Description of Work: John came and did a thorough structural evaluation of our home. He was able to clearly explain and articulate what he was seeing and the implications for what would be needed to fix. Based on his findings, we may need to refocus our project, but undoubtably if we need any assistance with the structure, we will be calling John.

He started outside, went around the house, checked the roof, went inside, checked everything from garage, to attic, to interior areas, basement, electric service panel, then back outside. John is a degreed RPI engineer, well worth the money over any other home inspector without equivalent knowledge and background. He gave us a very detailed report, including photos of how different items/areas in the home should and should not be, a list of life expectancy of various materials/items in the home and recommendations.
Description of Work: John inspected every inch of our building structure both inside and out. He inspected the deck, the slope of the landscaping as it pertains to the septic field, he climbed up on the roof to inspect the shingles, he gained entry to the attic and inspected the age and quality of the insulation. He inspected all windows, doors, plumbing, electrical (removed the panel), recommended we have radon testing, checked the well pump, reserve tank, furnace, sump pump, level of floors, railings, etc.
