I joined Angie's list the day we put our house on the market and 4 days later we were to have our first open house. We were very busy packing and taking care of clutter, etc., that we felt that we were running out of time to give our house serious cleaning attention. I had called a few house cleaning services that were recommended on Angie's list, and Custom Cleaners were the first to call back. I spoke with Pam, she and her husband own the business and do the cleaning. She was very friendly on the phone and said they could be there the next morning. She asked about the house, size, etc., and said it would be $100. I told her that it would be for an open house and if she needed to charge me more for extra details to be done, that would be ok. They arrived about when they said they would and were very polite. My husband and I stayed out of their way and did our own thing while they were there. Surprisingly, Pam announced that they were done 1.5 hours after they had arrived. When I went to write her a check, unfortunately made out to CASH, she asked for $125 instead of the original $100. I had no problem with this, thinking that they must have really SCRUBBED this house to perfection. I could not resist to look around the house to check their efforts. I WISH I COULD SAY THAT I WAS HAPPY OR EVEN SATISFIED WITH THEIR SERVICES. I knew 1.5 hours to clean a 3 bedroom house was fast! Some things had been done and others had not. The job was clearly rushed and I had to empty the other half of the garbage cans they had overlooked. I also spent time RE-CLEANING the bathroom that they had just cleaned! It was very sloppy. Pam said she had cleaned the windows in the kitchen, which I thought was great, but when I looked at them, they were full of streaks like they had been cleaned with a wet, dirty rag. This is NOTHING compared to what I found right after they left. They SCRATCHED up our stainless steel stove and so much so that we had a friend come over right after they left and asked what they did to it! I felt like crying. I called Pam and she said she had no idea what I was talking about. I asked her what she used and she said Easy Off oven cleaner. On stainless?!?! She said she'd look into trying to fix it and would call me back. Minutes later I received a call from her husband. He said that she had not cleaned it, but that he did and that the scratches were there when he got there. I strongly disagreed with him and he would not back down. He said he would point me in the right direction to have it fixed, but would not pay for it. I have never heard from them again. I was SOOOO disappointed. Aren't they insured?! Wouldn't that cover something like this?! i have had bad experiences with house cleaning companies in the past and swore to never use another. I thought, in this situation, I would make an exception. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They are sloppy, rush, damage your house and lie!!!!!

I read the reviews on this website and gave Custom Cleaners a try after recently parting ways with my last cleaning company. I found the owner to be very responsive to my concerns and the price is much better than what I was paying with the previous company. They have done very good work in the several times that Pam or her staff have been to the house. I will be continuing this service for the foreseeable future.

I pay them weekly. I like that they are prompt, and they are thorough. They are reliable and they have a high quality to their work. I have been using them for the last month.
