COLLAR CITY TILE WORKS

The first job was a master bath needing tile work in custom shower, floor with radiant heat and an accent wall. While, the quality of work was good. My client felt there was a lot of waste and the workers were not well supervised. An important area (front of the vanity) for radiant heat was missed. The 2nd project was another master bath custom shower and tub surround. He never showed. 1st appt., he asked to reschedule. 2nd appt., he needed to reschedule again. 3rd appt., he didn't show or call. It caused another contractor to lose the bid. 3rd project was for a retrofit in a bath where tile needed to be filled in. He saw the job but then didn't return calls or emails to schedule the job. I cannot recommend based on these experiences.

Fabulous. Brian and his exemplary team agreed to work on a holiday weekend. They arrived at 7 am promptly and immediately went to work. They removed old tile...lots of it...but it was so much more than that. They had to temporarily relocate appliances, move furniture, and protect the other rooms from the immense amount of dust created by the process. The end result of the process (only three days!) was beautiful kitchen, laundry room, bathroom and entranceway flooring. They also did 'value-added' extras: installation of sink and toilet, leveling of oven, etc. These men know their business! You can (and should) use their services with confidence.

Brian and his crew were very professional from the day we received the quote until the day he left. They arrived on time every day and completed the job to completion within the time expected. As this was my first time remodel job, Brian walked me through the steps so i was fully aware of how this would go. He assisted with design decisions pointing out areas in my materials decisions where i could save money and not sacrifice quality, but increase quality. I simply didn't know what materials i would need and would have made costly mistakes had i picked them all up myself. During the shower tiling we made a change to the shower floor which could have taken forever and be very costly to change but Brian and his team jumped to the task without issue and charged me very little to change what would have made me very unhappy with the completed bathroom for years to come. I think we would only change one thing and that is to leave in the center vanity fixture rather than going with recessed lighting, this was our choice. The recessed lights are somewhat focused leaving shadows on our face. This would be less of an issue with wall sconces adjacent to the mirror, but we didn't have the room. We are very happy with the completed project and look forward to having Brian and his team work on our children's bathroom this coming spring.

They are so professional. The work was superb. The tile work came out fantastic. It was a very difficult job and they did a fantastic job. I've given their name to my friends.

The tile work is for my downstairs by my front door. That grout was wrong and they are unable to get it back up to replace it. The bathroom needed to be leveled and put a sealer on it and then tile it and then regrouted. The grout in there is also about a half inch from the base boards. Upon completion of our master bedroom, everything looked ok but there was some areas that were dark but it according to him it would dry out and change colors. It never did, he kept promising he'd come back to complete it. This project has been going on for well over a year. I reached out to him to have him come repair the problem areas, he never showed and would never pick up his cell phone. The last time I spoke to him he told me to call him, I did and I did and he never answered.

He was a real pleasure to work with--prompt, professional, knowledgeable, straight forward, and very responsive to questions and follow up with calls. The tile work is first rate, completed on time and with no problems or complications. We wish all contractors were this good. A+ rating.

Brian promptly returned our first call, came to look at the job at the exact time we scheduled and provided answers to our questions and good suggestions (Lowes tile is much nicer quality than Home Depot's, don't cheap out on a toilet). He provided a very reasonable price estimate within a few days. He was able to do the entire job, bringing in plumbing and electrical people as needed. We were impressed by his energy, work ethic and attention to detail. There were minor aspects of the work that we asked to have redone (slightly imperfect tile and a scratched tile). He more than honored the guarantee of complete satisfaction. They worked neatly, and were very pleasant and friendly people. Also easy on the eye. Their price includes labor only but they came with us to select, pick up and deliver the materials we had chosen. This meant we could choose our own options, but also get their advice at the same time, which I think is a good approach. They worked around our schedule, and also worked long days to get the job done as quickly as possible. We were very happy with the end product and the entire job.

Brian is the best. He is a very ambitious man who gets the job done. He is true to his word, hard working and very prompt. I loved that he came every day at the exact time he said he would be starting. I will hire him again in the future.

Great experience. Once our tile arrived, this company was right there to do the work. They willingly worked on a holiday weekend to get the job done. They arrived at 7 am both days and stayed until the work was completed. Very polite and willing to make any adjustments we wanted to the layout of the tile.
