When we moved into our house (about a year and a half ago), we had a pool torn down and as a result there was an electrical line and gas line exposed in the yard. There were also some questionable circuits in the house. Our home inspector took a look at our panel and said that there were some signs of moisture, but all we needed was some meterhead putty. When we went to get the basic service done, we got multiple quotes. The first was done by a big area company that we had used a sister company in the past. During the quote process, there was some hand waving and it immediately jumped to a new panel (without any education). We had also had scheduling issues with this group, so we did not go with them. We then called Twin City Electrical. I am admittedly a very difficult person to get in touch with. Michael Murphy was very polite and persistent, following up over about two weeks while we worked out a day to meet. When he came to quote, he did a lot of education, really let me look at the panel and understand the issue. He was visibly concerned that we had been ill-served by our home inspection and seemed to be genuinely concerned for our safety. We felt so comfortable, we increased the scope a bit (even with the unexpected replacement of the service panel) Twin City did a great job scheduling the visit. Whether it was the size of the job or genuine concern, the work was done two days after we accepted. The two guys were very good, professional, and arrived on time. Everything was replaced from where the service got to the house before the meter, after the meter, and then the service panel. It was an all day job, and the guys spent a lot of time remapping the circuits. We ended up with a safer house, a very well documented service panel, and a safe yard. Most importantly, we now have an electrician that we trust, is responsive, does good work, and will call for future work.

HAD 2 GUYS WORKING(1 ON EACH FAN) THEY FINISHED IN ABOUT 1.5 HOURS.HAD EVERYTHING CLEAN AND WORKING PROPERLY. VERY PROFESSIONAL BUT A LITTLE HIGH ON PRICE

I have used them twice and I had to call them back for the same problem about three months later. I would not recommend them. They charged me again for the same problem. It was not completely clogged and it was the same problem that was there before, and they just did a temporary job. They came back the second time and did exactly the same thing, and charged me the same thing. They said that they would not do anymore than that. Regarding responsiveness, they were not exceptional.

2 workers came on time, and did the job in an excellent manner.

The guys were great. They showed up on time. They very efficient and left no mess behind. They explained everything to me and showed me the work they had done. They asked questions about future jobs and offered ideas and estimates on work. They were very friendly and personable and you can tell they take a lot of pride in their work. I have already called a colleague about the experience and I will definitely recommend this company to others.

Twin Cities Electrical did a fabulous job on my house. I had a laundry list of things I needed done and they did it all. They arrived around 10am and finished around 7 pm. Mark and Sean were the utmost professionals and did a great job. The projects I had for them were difficult because my house is made of mainly cement block and they could not just drill through drywall. When they had problems, they were clever and were able to solve them. One minor issue I had was they did not wear booties over their work boots in the house. However, they did not make much of a mess and they cleaned up after themselves. It was not a problem in this case. Mike Murphy was very attentive throughout the entire process from start to finish. He called me and we discussed the entire project and he gave detailed explanations on pricing and parts and labor. He was right on about pricing. Never having seen the type of house I have, Mike could not give an accurate time frame and he said so up front. He kept cautioning me that the project could take a few hours more than the package I bought from Angie's List and could cost more. I told him I totally understood his concerns. From now on, Twin Cities Electrical has my business.

I am thrilled with the work! I purchased the three hours of electrical work and was sent two electricians for 1 1/2 hours. Mark and Sean, were professional, courteous and so helpful.They changed out the lights and switches and cleaned up everything. They even took away the old fixtures. They explained what they were doing and made very helpful suggestions. Mark was able to fix a light that was missing some of the pieces and together they suggested and added a plug to my bathroom! They made the impossible possible!!! Sean took out an ancient light fixture on the garage and replaced it with a motion detector light. He went up and down that ladder repeatedly to make sure the sensors would be just right. The manager Mike is a hoot. He's a nice man with an eye for detail and a great sense of humor. Twin City Electric exceeded my expectations!

It went very well! Twin City arrived on time, did the work in a professional manner and within the allotted time. Mark and Shawn were professional and dove right in to get the job done. What else could one ask? Job well done!

Mike the owner came out to review and estimate the job and scheduled it promptly. II was pleased with the work performed. Mark and his partner who did the work were very pleasant, cooperative, and conscientious.

Workers were very courteous and competent. Did not have the right size bulbs, however, for replacement. Mike Murphy brought new fixtures and bulbs and they were quickly installed. The LED fixture for the entry was one I had purchased and had to be fitted with some creativity, which one of the workers did handily while the other repaired my table lamp. They finished up in the hour and a half that I had bought for $149. Materials cost was $200. All in all I was well satisfied with the experience.

I want to shout the praises of this company from the rooftops. The communication was outstanding...email, Angie's list messages and several phone calls. Mike contacted me to insure that the 'big deal' would be appropriate for the work I had to have done. I was contacted when the electricians were on their way and afterwards by Mike, as a follow-up to the visit. I really liked the idea of having two electricians working together. The brainstorming by the team and watching them work together was great. Sometimes they worked apart and sometimes together, and I felt that every minute of my 'BigDeal' was used efficiently and effectively. The electricians explained every aspect of the job and were willing to teach me a thing or two. Kudos and compliments.... I will definitely call on Twin City again.

This was outstanding service?done very quickly?I had thought it would be good if they could complete three jobs in the allotted time?but the two professionals completed four jobs in the allotted time. Very professional job. I would highly recommend Twin City. Prompt and courteous. The owner called me the night before to set up the job and go over the work to be done?just excellent service.

From the time I met Mr. Murphy when he came to my house to walk through my house I knew that I was in good hands. Mr. .Murphy was very polite professional and explained everything to me. I had all the work done in one day by a very professional employee. He showed me what he was going to do and he was a very diligent worker. Twin City Electric sent out two electricians (Mark & Sean). They were on time and verified what work needed to be done. Both gentlemen were very professional and explained what and how they were going to perform the work. The work was done efficiently and very neatly. They removed the refuse and cleaned up the construction debris. I am very pleased with all aspects of their work. I certainly will have them back when additional electrical work needs to be done. I will certainly recommend Twin City Electric to all my relatives and acquaintances

Twin Cities Electric was called in response to the Angies list promotion for 2 hours of service. We have previously had other electrical contractors perform work that was not satisfactory. We called Mike from Twin Cities. He listened to all of our issues and concerns. He was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating with our schedules to get the work done. He was even able to provide us information to assist with selection and having all parts and material available to be as efficient as possible. The electrician was very professional, knowledgeable, thorough and looked the job over before starting any work. He was able to determine the problems caused by previous contractors due to short cuts that left safety issues. All issues were discussed with necessary corrective solutions before starting the work. All work was completed in an efficient, cost effective and professional manner. After two years of remodeling, we have had our share of 'take the money and run' roofers, concrete work, electricians and carpenters. Very frustrating to deal with. Twin Cities Electric performed an outstanding job. Others will talk a good game but do not deliver. Twin Cities truly cares and takes the time to get the job done right the first time. We sincerely thank Mike and his crew for taking care of our home. It feels good to know that we now have someone that we can trust to call for all of our future electrical needs.

Mr. Murphy was polite and congenial, but he said it couldn't be done. So I had another person come and he installed the light as I wanted it done.

The workmen showed up when they said they would and got right to work. They got everything done in less than 2 hours. Shortly after they left the owner called to make sure I was satisfied with the work.

They were prompt, upfront on how much it would cost and how long it would take. Would highly recommend their company

It's been good. I had a comfortable feeling from the guy I thought he was the owner. They're polite. The work that they did do was fine but the job that I was really interested in; I never got an estimate from it.

when the 2 electricians arrived they appeared ready to go to work ,introduced themselves and we discussed what work i wanted done. one got busy while the other went back to their work truck for supplies. the morning was overcast the wind was calm as the geese in the background honked their plaintif cries of hope and birth anew. ( oh , enough of the details; im getting old, my time is running out , back to the survey ! ) anyhow...they were polite, cooperative, and communicative and thorough. they cleaned up well after themselves when the work was done. also, and importantly, no attempt was made to "upsell" to me; merely asked if i was satisfied with the work they had done. i was,they left and moments later the owner phoned to garner my opinions expressing his concern that my needs had been met.

Twin City Electrical recently offered an Angieslist deal-- 3 hours of labor for $150. Seeing as we needed a few electrical/lighting concerns addressed, I purchased the deal. I was contacted by Mike (owner of TCE) via Angieslist and again by telephone to go over the proposed work. Mike was extremely kind, helpful and courteous over the phone and set us up for an appointment on 3/20 (today). Although I had to work today, Mike he called and advised that he encountered an emergency and would not be able to make the appointment. He said he would be happy to reschedule personally and come over to give us estimates on the work that exceeded the scope of the Angieslist deal. I appreciated him for following up and advising me about this. At the same time, my fiance was at home and two guys from TCE had already arrived when Mike called me. The two workers (John, and I cannot remember the other gentleman's name) arrived on time and were just as kind/professional/helpful as Mike, according to my fiance. Since there were two workers, the deal was split to 1.5 labor-hours per worker (totaling up to the 3 hours). They replaced the dimmer switch for the basement track lighting and installed two GFCI outlets as requested. Parts were not included in the deal, so the cost for everything was an additional $75. While there, they took a look at a few other items (circuit breaker, covering of cables leading to the garage, etc) and provided good advice on how to move forward. All told, this was my first time purchasing an Angieslist deal-- I've generally been cautious of them, after reading the horror stories (bait and switches, what was promised in the deal wasn't actually delivered, up-selling, etc). However, I'm glad that Mike and his guys at Twin City Electric pulled through and provided great service to us. I'll definitely contact them for future estimates and work.

An unexpected snow storm caused them to cancel our appointment but within a few days the weather cleared and the two-man crew arrived early in the morning, introduced themselves and got right to work. They were all business, all day long and left the job only after checking all connections and answering all my questions. Now our old house is not only ready for a complete roof tear-down but we have a new safe electrical service panel.

The work done by Twin City Electrical was fantastic and they were great people to work with. I'm actually thinking up more projects so I can bring them back. What nice people they were. The rice was fair and the quality of the work was outstanding. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

On the latest issues I had, the issue was noticed before I had other contractors coming in for drywalling and plaster repair. Mike was able to fit me in on short notice so that the other contractors could proceed on schedule. Working with him was great and he will be getting any future electrical work that I need.
