+ -1 moreI had called a few other companies for a small outside electrical job and no one even returned my call. I checked Angie's list and I called up Twin City and got the owner, Mike Murphy. He was very nice and scheduled an assessment of my problems very quickly. He came out and gave me a price. We scheduled the appointment for the repairs and when it was pouring rain and he could not do the work, he called me first thing in the morning to reschedule so I wasn't waiting around all day. When he came out he was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. His price was less than his quote and he gave me honest feedback about additional repairs I had asked him about....he was honest with me which I greatly appreciated. I would use Twin City again and highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Mike repaired our outside landscape lighting and timers and checked other lighting problems.

I got my estimate that evening and he was patient to wait a couple days while we decided if we were going to have the work done. His employees were beyond wonderful. They walked through everything in the beginning, half way through, and at the end. Would definitely recommend.
Description of Work: Added electrical to a stand alone garage. It involved installing a separate box, 6 outlets, and 3 lights.

+ -1 moreIt went very well, and even when I had an issue with wiring later on after the job was done that wasn't even related to their work, they were still extremely responsive and concerned with our safety and responded very promptly. Overall, I am very pleased with the work performed, and the customer service. Also, their quote was half the price of another electrician, and they did more work than the other company offered.
Description of Work: Replaced aluminium wiring with copper in all outlets, switches and fixtures, installed smoke and carbon monoxide detectors throughout house.

+ 0 moreI asked Mike to perform an urgent change in the position of a light, that a previous provider had installed in the wrong location, and had made a mess of the stone landscape area. The urgency was based on the idea that Mike's team would also make a mess and a landscaper was coming in two days to clean this up (among other things). Mike's team came in time, did an outstanding job of extending the light fixture, added a service switch and left the work area in better condition than they found it - so it wouldn't have mattered if they came prior to the landscaper as there was no mess made associated with their work! Mike is clearly incredibly committed (beyond normal) to providing quality work and providing exceptional customer satisfaction. I will always go back to Twin City Electrical for any electrical work I need done in the future. Thanks Mike & Team!

+ 0 moreAwesome! Owner Mike Murphy is obsessive about honesty, professionalism, quality, & customer satisfaction. Electrician Mark was SO WONDERFUL and answered many questions during the process. Mark also asked me many excellent questions about the existing circuit breaker panel to ensure he accurately understood its unique history and that evidence he saw of previous problems had been corrected. His assistant Brody was very pleasant and professional. They did an excellent job, explained all of the work, cleaned everything up and were delightful to have in my home. Highly recommend this company!
Description of Work: Added additional circuit breaker panel, installed outside outlet on back of house, replaced one of the outside flood lights with new LED light, changed the two outside lights from one switch to two so we could operate them separately, replaced kitchen and dining room lights.

+ 0 moreExcellent Experience. Mike Murphy and his crew were extremely professional and prompt. It was 48 hours from first contact to completion of service! Mike upgraded our old 100 amp electrical service to a modern 150 amp service. Also, they rewired our garage lights and added an overhead light as well as made a few other minor updates throughout the home. He even threw in a couple of light switch covers. He walked us through the process so that we understood exactly what was going to be happening and why. Very professional. I will recommend his company to everyone and anyone!

Mr. Murphy called the day prior to scheduled work date to confirm date and time.... On the day of the appointment Mr. Murphy called to advise that the team was enroute... Two man work crew was very polite and courteous. Worked well as a team and were quite efficient. Excellent clean up and took old fan, etc to dispose of. Will definitely call them again for any electrical work I need to have done.. Twin City Electrical will most certainly be recommended to any friends or family needing the services they provide. VERY SATISFIED.

The two electricians who completed the job were professional, polite, and best of all, completely competent in regards to working on this old house. Mark thoroughly answered my questions, and I was asked to give my input on the jobs to make sure I would be satisfied, and future work could be completed without having to backtrack and do the projects all over again. Mike, the owner, followed up with me after the work was done to make sure that I was happy. I am!
Description of Work: Twin City Electrical replaced two closet pull-chain light fixtures, one fuse in the breaker box (included replacing two wires), installed a wall sconce in the laundry room, and switched out two poorly attached wall outlets in a bedroom for new, solid grounded outlets with face plates.

They were safety conscious and took all trash with them. The new fixtures look fabulous! We have used Twin Cities twice before this and will not hesitate to call them again for our next project. Highly recommend!!!

+ -1 moreThese guys are truly very professional. I had problems that were not easy to find. They went about their work like they knew what they were doing and found the problem relatively fast. It was to late in the day to complete the work so they set up the electrical service in such a way that it was safe for the night. The next morning they were here at the time they said they would be. They completed the work and cleaned up afterward. They were very neat, courteous, and patient with all my questions. The only part of their service I can't say was outstanding is the price. I was so impressed with these guys that I didn't bother price shopping. I just decided that I wanted their service even though someone else might be less expensive. I am NOT saying they were expensive! I don't honestly know. I HIGHLY recommend these guys!! You won't be sorry.

Cleaned up after they were finished and took the boxes with all the debris with them. Very friendly and answered all questions, as I had remotes installed in the fans. Will have them install more electrical outlets in the basement and a chandelier in the dining room in the near future. Can't say enough good things about this company!!!

It was just a matter of getting a time when the both of us couldn’t do it. There were no additional charges. It’s been working just fine. Like I said, they were very thorough. When he called, he explained how much he would charge me if we went over the allotted time. He was very upfront. When they got here, I was able to ask them questions about future projects, which I like. For the deal, their price was very good.
Description of Work: They changed two of my outdoor light fixtures. They updated some plugs for me, which is another fixture inside the house. It was lights electrical updating.

Immediately recognized that having water in the radiators could be a major problem and had us drain them (something that was not told to us by a company the prior day), and also that we could be at risk for our water pipes to freeze. They came out the following morning at 8 am, on time, replaced the system, vented it out of the side of the house, temperatures sub zero the entire morning. Finished work by 5:30 pm. Professional, courteous. Covered their shoes inside the house. Installed all new CO monitors and fire alarms. Good prices. Couldn't have asked for better service.
Description of Work: Called on Sunday morning, CO monitor going off, we have radiator heat, system needed to be replaced and the temp was close to 0.

I have a finished basement and the wall where my old small panel was required to be opened up to make room for the much larger 200A panel. I performed that part of the service to lower the price. The worker that did the job was great, he worked without complaint in zero degrees without the windchill. The service did take longer to perform due to temperature and only one worker. My panel is conveniently located on the same side of the house as the meter so there was no additional cost for running wires. I had a few other things that I wanted them to look at and repair (switches, plugs..ect) they were completed at no additional cost. Mike and his crew are fantastic, I would recommend them to anyone. I have called Mike for other small projects and he is more than willing to give some advice over the phone.

He said it wasn't possible to just create the outlets rather whole new lines had to be put in. It was the same with the light installation. He assured me the cost would be a great deal more than the deal I ordered. He said he would get back to me with a quote that day. Several days later I had not heard from him. I then decided to cancel the order and request my deposit or deal money was returned.

+ -1 moreArrived timely, were courteous, unobtrusive and professional. They endured frigid February temperatures outside for hours at a time moving wires. The electrical job was completed in two days followed by drywall and painting. Unfortunately, following a four hour power shut down our pipes froze and cracked. Mike quickly secured a plumber and assumed full financial responsibility. This was totally due to extreme weather conditions and not in any way a reflection on Twin City, but rather, a indication of their fairness and work ethics.
Description of Work: Major electrical service upgrade; moving circuit box from one room to another. Also provided a painter to replace, refinish and paint all access openings.

He was very friendly and knowledgeable and provided me with some good advice and a detailed estimate. Because he wanted my business he even beat all competitors prices. I received a written estimate that night and was amazed that the work could be completed just 2 days later. Mike was in constant contact and made sure I was 100% satisfied. The work was all completed the same day and even in the middle of a bad snow storm. I'm not an easy person to please but I was 100% satisfied with all the work that was completed. I have already recommended Twin City to my friends and family.
Description of Work: Replace/upgrade electric entrance from 60 amp to 100 amp. Install new electric box and breakers-ground entire house-wire 2 new outlets-install 4 GFCI outlets.

I misunderstood that the deal was only for residential services but we worked out a deal so that they could do the work for my church. Overall, they were very accommodating and cooperative. They did very good work and we were very pleased.
