Description of Work: Mr. Murphy upgraded my old service panel from the 1950s to a 100amp CutlerHammer commercial grade and also relocated it.

Description of Work: In a newly constructed porch overhang, install four new pot lights, each with their own dimmer and a single shutoff for all.

Description of Work: He checke and replace one faulty outlet, one faulty light. He also checked our electical panel for problems. He also noticed a potentially dangerous box and corrected that problem.

Description of Work: We had no power to a number of outlets on our second floor. I contacted Mayfield Electric based on comments in Angie's List. Mike Murphy came out - I assumed to give me an estimate. But, though it was in the evening, he brought his tools in and began trouble shooting, identified the problem, and fixed it that very night - at what I felt was a very reasonable price. I was thrilled. Mike is a pleasure to deal with. My mother (nearly 90) has been experiencing a similar problem in her 100+ year home. I recommended Mike, who visited Mom last week. Both my Mom and sister were very, very pleased with his professionalism. (Mom called him "such a nice gentleman"). Mike restored power and made some recommendations for which he will be providing a quote. Most importantly, he reassured them that there are no immediate safety issues. This was important, as Mom was actually scared ("electricity scares me"). I plan to have Mike do more work at my home as well - replace the load center, some outlets, etc. I very highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: Mike Murphy quickly diagnosed the problem with our broken doorbell and two nonfunctioning outlets. He replaced the doorbell chimes in the living room and a faulty outlet underneath our sink (where the garbage disposal is plugged in). He also tested and fixed another outlet where our stove plugs in and properly anchored another outlet on top of our kitchen counter that had come loose from the wall. Finally, he noticed that the transformer for the doorbell in the basement needed some minor work and quickly fixed that as well.

Description of Work: Mike replaced the sevice line and meter and grounded it as per code and also replaced 9 fixtures and some outlets. Price quoted was exact and MUCH LESS than other bidders. Plan on using Mike for more work in the future.

Description of Work: They put in a back up battery for sump pump. They also fixed some minor electrical problems.

Description of Work: Our electrical system in our house was getting a bit outdated. We called Mayfield Electric Company to update our electrical system, and they also installed more circuits.

Description of Work: Mayfield Electric did major work for us including putting in a new power box for us and a new surge protector. They did hardwiring to our bathroom that we redid.
