Frank's Basement Systems

I called Frank’s Basement Systems for an opinion on what was wrong with my basement. The rear wall was cracking and the floor had many new cracks. I thought I had a drainage problem causing pressure or erosion to crack my basement floor and I thought I would need part of the floor ripped up to lay new drain pipes. The inspector/estimator from Frank’s Systems – Rick - assured me this was not the case and I had no water problem. My problem was a rear wall starting to bow. This was confirmed by a structural engineer hired to inspect the basement. So, I contracted Franks Basement Systems to repair the rear wall of my basement. I couldn't be any happier in the fact that I chose Frank's to do the job. Everything is first rate. From the beginning inspection performed by Rick, to the carbon fiber support bands installation by Craig and the sealing and painting of the wall by Mike. I couldn't be more pleased. Rick could have soaked me by selling me work I didn't need. I thank you Rick for not causing me to spend all of my retirement money on this basement. Craig came in to prep the wall and install carbon fiber bands per the drawings made up by the engineer. From the moment he arrived, until he was finished on the second day, he was focused on his job. He would work steadily until lunch and after lunch he was right back on the job. At the end of the day, he would clean up and you would never know anyone had been working down there. Except for the fact that the area was cleaner when he left than it was when he arrived. Excellent worker. Mike showed up on the third day to put some sealing paint on the wall. When that dried, he returned to paint the walls white since the sealer is dark blue which is not a very nice color for the basement. A second coat of white on the fifth day covered all of the blue sealer. Mike was another great worker. He prepped the entire wall for painting and worked steadily until lunch and then right back to the task at hand. He knew the town inspector hadn't been in yet, so he left the carbon fiber bands unpainted so the inspector could see them. Don't know if this was necessary, but there was no sense in giving the inspector something to question. The painting was completed , including the bands, after the town inspector showed up to give his OK on the job. When Mike was finished, everything was cleaned up beautifully. To sum it all up, Frank's Basement Systems is a first rate organization. The office staff was always cheerful and helpful when I called. The crew in the field, Rick, Craig and Mike are all top notch. If I had a company, these are the type of people I would hire. They have an excellent work ethic, which is something that is sorely lacking in many organizations. He came with little supplies to do the job he ran out of mud my husband had to give him tape and he left not even 2 1/2 hours because he ran out of supplies. the work he did do was good but he did not come prepared I did not get what I paid for

Job went very well. The 2-3 workers were very considerate and thorough. Showed me each step of way and talked about how the job was going. I was extremely interested in the process and took pictures. They backfilled the area and had a company come in and re-seed the lawn since the equipment tore it up a bit.

Ended up having to buy a hot water heater as problem with hot water burned out the tank - they were able to work with my schedule to do the repairs within the week. Finished in a few hours and I haven't had problems since. Would definitely use them again.

Everything was not perfect; however, the owner, Frank, made sure he looked into my concern and resolved the issue. He is a wonderful owner of his company. I will definantly call this company for repairs again. I am very satisfied.

It was a pleasure to have him do his job. He was prompt, courteous, fair, honest, clean and without any BS. I would call him instantly for my next plumbing job/need.

On the first trip out to my house, Ed, the plumber who made the service call, advised me not to replace my Moen faucet with an off-brand that I found on-line for a steal. He said he would be happy to install the faucet I purchased, but thought I would be disappointed in the long run. When I explained that I didn't relish spending almost $400 to replace the Moen faucet I currently own, he informed me that the faucet was warrantied for life, and advised me to contact Moen's Customer Service Dept. I was bummed at first (I spent all that time selecting and ordering a different faucet), but after contacting the company and explaining the situation with the premature wearing of my old faucet, Moen shipped me a brand new faucet valued at $379 for $59, and I felt a whole lot better. I am very grateful to Ed for his candor. When Ed came out to the house (the second time) to install the new Moen faucet, he was knowledgeable, professional, and fast. He handed me a folder containing all the information and important documents I would need pertaining to the faucet (instructions, warranty, service bil), and disposed of the old faucet at no additional charge. I like that Ed wore vinyl floor protectors over his work boots whenever he entered the house, and he cleaned up after himself. As a result the kitchen looked immaculate when he left. The bill was a bit high in my opinion (almost $300), but the work that was done was excellent, and I didn't have to pay almost $400 for a new faucet, in additional to plumber services. So overall a great experience. I would ask for Ed.

I booked appointments for three estimates for the addition of a first floor laundry. The technician who came from Franks Mr. Plumber, Marc, was prompt and professional. He came a second time with the master plumber to evaluate the job. I initially thought I would be selecting this company, however I never received an estimate (even after 3 phone calls). I guess that is what companies do if they don't want the job - submit a high bid or no bid at all!

They gave me a quote that was way too high to swap out a pedestal sink with a vanity/sink combo and replace seal on toilet est approx 2300.00. Had work done by another plumber for 900.00.

I didn't have the work done. Estimate was very high and after several more consultations , was told Most of the estimate were for work that was not necessary . Seems I was being "over sold." In the companies defense, after writing an email to the owner about my concern of being "oversold" by his salesperson; he phoned me personally. He also requested to come look at the basement himself. After 3 different consultations from various companies I declined his offer. The other two basement companies confirmed what each other said, and it was SIGNIFICANTLY less work needed. I eventually chose one of the later companies and am very happy with the results...

Two visits were done, one for the quote and one for the actual work. The quote was thorough and covered what I needed since it was such an old faucet. The same worker, Mark, performed both the quote and actual work and was very professional, thorough and clean. I did have some discussions with their office to schedule both visits and they were great to work with, as well. I picked out the sink and faucet myself, and they were happy to install it no matter what. All in all, the company was great to work with and if or when I need plumbing work again, they will be the only company I'll work with.

Excellent craftsmanship! Was not sure of the brand that Marc recommended, so needed a bit of time to research. It was a Bradford Whie. Never heard of it, so I had to look it up. The office staff was very gracious about giving me the model number so I could look up the specs before I bought it. Offered a 2-5- or 10 year warranty.The craftsmen were slightly delayed due to finishing another job, but not too long. Once they got here, they got right to work. Marc and Dave were very respectful of the premises and laid a tarp down immediately so as to not track mud in from the outside of the house. It took about 4 hours to install. Not bad for a very carefully done job! Worked efficiently, conscientiously and at a steady pace. Paula and Patty were most helpful when calling the office and very accomodating to my schedule. I appreciate the professionalism and commitment to customer service of this establishment and would hire them again!

From the time the first worker came to my home, Marc, for an estimate, I was greeted with courtesy and my questions were all answered. I was not sure of the brand of the water heater when I got the estimate on November 12, 2015, so I opted to do a little research before signing the contract. In the meantime, the office staff-- including Paula and Patty, were most helpful and patient with my questions before I made my final decision. I asked for the model number of the tank they wanted to install and they graciously gave it to me so I could look it up. Marc and Dave installed the water heater and were most professional. I appreciate how they layed down a tarp to the basement so they wouldn't track mud in. They were worth the wait of no hot water for two weeks! Folks, it's best to do your homework when these things happen, and not do an emergency buying decision. I give everybody at this company 5 stars for their customer service and expertise! Hire these guys-- know what they're doing!

Dominick came out to the house and quickly diagnosed the problem. He spent time educating us about the problem and our options. He was very professional, described other services we may want to consider in the future without being pushy, and was very knowledgeable. We will definitely be calling this provider again.

The work went very well. The plumber arrived on time and worked steadily throughout the day. Both plumbers we saw that day were very polite and professional. There were many of our storage totes and boxes blocking three of the cellar walls where the new pipe had to be placed. My husband offered to move them and the plumber said he would do it as he got to them. They cleaned up everything before leaving and walked us through the completed job explaining everything they had done.

From start to finish we worked with Mike C, he was great along each and every step - explained the entire process thoroughly, making sure we understood what would be done. He followed through with us along the way and stopped over at the job to see the progress. Thanks Mike! Craig and Nick were the foremen, they were great too - very knowledgeable and explained to us what they would be doing each day. The crew was great, very respectful of our home and belongings in our basement. We are confident in the work they have done and look forward to enjoying our basement! Thanks all! Only one minor complaint would be the clean-up... Granted it was a very messy job to begin with and they tarped off the rest of the basement, but the work area seemed to be left still very dirty and lots of dust covering the ground. Maybe they forgot to sweep up or did it very quickly. The stairs and driveway weren't cleaned up either. In the scheme of things, it was a minor thing for us to worry about. All in all, we would definitely hire Franks again! Thanks!

.He arrived on time and diagnosed the situation. I thought all I needed was the faucet replaced but the tub outflow was rusted out and since they were 45 years old needed to be replaced. He went back to his base and got what I needed and did the work in about an hour after he got back. He was competent as far as I could tell and everything is working fine. It was all done within about 3 hours and the same day. I was very pleased. I may have been able to get it done more cheaply but that would have required me to shop and make a lot of trips that I do not have time for.

The gentleman that actually quoted my job and did the work (T.J.) was extremely professional and did a great job! Would definitely use Frank's Mr. Plumber again!

These guys are absolutely great! No one likes to have to fork out $$ for big plumbing issues, but I truly feel that I got an outstanding deal and the work was done by absolute professionals! They did their job meticulously and were extremely personable! I would most definitely use this company again and have referred several friends and family members to them for service! A++++++

On my concern over price Frank personally delivered a refund check to me saying I was incorrectly charged. How many owners would do that? He is sincere in his concern.
