I called this company to come look at my sump pump installation and drainage issue, and was very disappointed with the lack of information and how eager the guy was to jump to conclusions. He did not take the time to thoroughly evaluate everything and was eager to provide me a quote for more than what I was asking for. I asked a lot of questions and he did not provide any insight nor did he seem to be very experienced. Don't get me wrong, this company may provide quality work -- I just think they may be getting a bit too big for their own good.

Very professional on phone and included an estimate. Service Tech arrived less than one hour later. Very friendly and knowledgeable, explained work thoroughly and was done quickly. Unfortunately we found out about 2 hours later that the sewer was still quite clogged. After calling, the same service tech arrived after another hour and did a more thorough job and did not charge any extra.

Frank's team were punctual and professional the moment they arrived. Everyone on the team had a function and efficiently proceeded with the job. The weather was not the best but they maintained a clean worksite both outside and in the house. I was very impressed with the work they did. I would definately recommend Frank's Basement Systems.
Description of Work: Installation of PVC solid drain line from front of house to street for sump pump discharge along with a bubler system all by Town Code. Installed new pipe along floor joist to front of house and sealed old point in foundation. Replaced sod where they dug the front lawn so it looked as if the lawn was never disturbed.

Came when they said they would and performed the work satisfactorily. It is now several months later and have had no water on the floor.
Description of Work: Water started appearing in the basement of a rental property. We had Frank do some other work for us so called him immediately. They repaired the leak in the wall, installed drain pipe the length of the house in the floor. They also installed a sump pump. The cellar was very clean after a dirty job.. (They had to remove a good share of the old floor and carry all the stone and concrete up and out.)

Description of Work: One of the crew members showed up, a little late but the team in the office was great with communication. Had a leaky tub and he changed out the cartridges and replaced seals in the handles. Still working great, gave a B for price as I was quoted by another company a lesser amount but the flexibility of the crew was great. would recommend to anyone.

My tenant in a rental property reported there was water leaking through the ceiling of the living room. I called Mr. Plumber and they sent someone out the next day. He opened up the ceiling and saw no water on the supply or drain pipes and determined that the leak was being cause by water on the floor along the edge of the tub. The change for opening the ceiling was $150, $110 after my Angie's list coupon was applied. I asked my tenant and her two children to not use the shower and just take baths to see if the issue was resolved. Within a couple of weeks the ceiling was dried out and I was preparing to have the ceiling repaired and install splash guards on the tub when it started leaking again. A called Frank's Mr. Plumber and asked to speak to the plumber, Pat who had originally come out. He as perplexed by the fact that the leak had stopped and then started again but said he would come out and take another look. This time he found a small crack int the hot water supply line. He determined that he could cut a larger hole in the surround around the handle and then install a wider escutcheon to cover the hole. A cheaper alternative to taking out the surround. This cost me an additional $493.32. On both occasions I had an appointment within a day or two of my call and Pat was always prompt. courteous and professional.

Very well. Professional, quick, educational, and patient.
Description of Work: I noticed a foul water puddle in my basement around a drain. After being unable to snake it myself I called at 7pm on Friday night. Spoke to a very nice man, Tom, who explained what the problem might be and approximately how much it would cost. He was able to send someone out the next morning, Saturday. Pat came and was very professional. He explained that my sewer drain branched off under my basement and the side that ran my kitchen sink, dishwasher, and utility sink was most likely clogged. He told me a price and how long it would take to do the job. He used the back door as to not run water and mud through my house. He was done in about 30 minutes and the drain was cleared. He explained it was normal back up after years of accumulation and nothing to worry about. He also educated me on which floor drain was the main and that if that ever backed up it was a big problem. As a single mom that information was very valuable. The final price was spot on and he accepted the Angie's List coupon without complaint. I would definately use them again and probably will to have a stove gasline moved.

Requested service at 8am and got a 11am appointment. Tech arrived on time and got right to work. Didn't have the extra long supply lines on his truck that I needed so he headed off to store. Took no longer than 15 minutes. Switched out plastic (Home Depot poor quality) lines with superior metal flexy lines he bought. Took no longer than 20 minutes. All seemed ok until next morning when I found a small amount of water in bottom of cabinet. Called early and got a 11-Noon appt. Same tech was available sooner, between jobs, so he arrived around 10am. A totally different area, the drain, was the culprit this time. He removed drain from sink, scraped away gunk, applied a new ring of caulk, and re-seated. Took no more than 10 minutes--and didn't charge a fee. I've used Frank's Mr. Plumber several times, for sewer main video inspection and furnace humidifier replacement, and the service is always courteous and fast, and the price is fair.

During furnace maintenance we were told about cracks in heat exchange and suggested to replace the old furnace with new one approx. cost $4500.00. They had a camera showing inside of heat exchange however cracks were not visible (at least to me) but rust was (which I believe is common with furnaces). So we decided to get second opinion with another company without indicating them about cracks. And after second inspection by different company we were told everything is good and was suggested some other work like change of motor. Now it is possible that both the companies could be right however this type of situation puts customer in tight spot - forcing to pay for suggested repair or change of equipment !! So thinking of approaching Fire dept for their guidance. I wonder, if there any laws (or company's self regulation) which follows up with customer if the cracks could pose any further issue or hazard immediately OR it is like Cigarette smoking warning on the packet - we told you !! We also had Energy Audit done and Auditor was courteous and answered any query we had. The price suggested after audit work seems to be on higher side so shop around.

The gentleman was knowledgeable. He checked everything thoroughly before he determined what he felt needed to be done. His quote was reasonable, but when we came down to asking for the coupon, they wouldn’t take that because they said they has this other system that they sell you to give you a 10% discount, but then you got to pay and the difference between the two is slightly more than the discount that they offer. They also had coupons in a flyer that was sent around and he wouldn’t take those coupons either. When they installed it last Friday, they put the vent pipe for the sewer line within a foot or foot and a half of my sidewalk directly in the line of the block wall that we have on our garden there. Every once in a while when we walk by that vent pipe, you smell the sewer gas. I had them out yesterday. They came and asked me three times to finish paying for it, but I said I want to know what they’re going to do about it first and I still haven’t heard anything back on what they are going to do with that.

Worker showed up on time, was professional and performed work exactly as requested. We did this work in preparation for new cabinetry, and the cabinet installers had no problems getting things installed. They have a small amount of final hook-up to perform after our countertops are in, and they have called me to confirm dates. I like that kind of pro-active follow-up, and I would definitely use them again.

From start to finish, Frank himself was checking on every crew and all the work being done. I had his personal cell phone, (which he answers himself, immediate), to call if I had any questions or concerns. We found him to be honest, upfront, (funny!), and delightful to deal with. When his crew's left, they left no mess and the job was perfect: we were very happy. Today, if we have any issues that any of his divisions can handle, we call Frank first. He's our "go-to" guy.
Description of Work: Frank's responded immediately to my emergency problem, which arose after using two other plumbers. He devised a solution to a difficult problem, gave us a detailed estimate on the solution, as well as a timetable, and then he and his crew stuck to the plan. They had to totally redo our sewer system, installing a second sump pump in the basement under the cement, and replacing all our pipes out to the main sewer line. They did such a good job and were so professional on the job that we then hired their cement division to replace our entire driveway, and sidewalk which had buckled, due to the sewer draining right under them. We also had them redo our very cracked cement patio.. We then had Frank's replace our furnace, which was leaking gas.

The workers were great. It took them exactly how long they said it would (4 days) and they were very conscientious about clean up. It appears to be a very professional job. Unfortunately, I am unable to say whether this actually fixed the problem (sever flooding in basement) because it has not rained enough much water into the sumps this summer. Winter melts and spring clean ups will tell for sure. There was one small leak that I noticed. It took a few weeks for someone to come to check it out and it happen that it was not leaking at the time... has since but I expect they will come back when I can demonstrate the leak to them. Not a biggie but it would have been nice if they just replaced the elbow that I told them I saw leaking rather than waiting to see it for themselves. I would be happy to use them again and recommend them to any and all. The sales people and office staff were by far the most professional and there was no pressure in the sales tactic (which is a far cry from Ever Dry who pitched the same fix for more than double the estimate). I'll post an update come the spring thaw:)
Description of Work: Cut perimeter of basement floor (approximately 12" wide around entire exterior wall) and dug down 12" or so (by hand) to install new drain tile (approximately 140 linear feet). Installed new drain tile in hole and pitched toward new well. Installed two clean-outs in opposite corners. Removed old sump well and replaced with new. Installed second sump well. One well has two pumps second has one pump. Ran new lines from both wells to overhead and outside of home above grade level. Installed new drain tile from exterior of house to ditch in the front (approximately 110' linear feet) and tied into culvert pipe.

I had about 4 buckets that were catching water that was dripping from the basement ceiling, but had no idea where the water was coming from. My husband was out of town & I had a wake to go to that afternoon, so I needed someone to come quicklly and get the work done quickly. Impossible, right? I called this company at 8:15am and they were able to ring my doorbell shortly after 9am, and I live about 40-45 minutes away. Jeff was the name of my plumber, and I really liked him. He was very patient and really took his time to find the leak. It was the water line from the refrigerator that had a hole and was spraying water out of it. He fixed it rather quickly. I also mentioned to him that I had a problem with my upstairs bathroom tub (hot water just trickles out). He was going to replace the filter in it, but did not have an exact match for the particular type I needed, so he tried to clean out the one I had. It didn't help. He drove to a place to try to find the correct filter. He found one, drove back to my house and put the new one in. It didn't fix the problem. He never charged me for the time he spent trying to fix that, or for the filter. He would have stayed to try one more thing to fix it, but I had to leave for the wake. (I also used a $40 coupon from Angie's list, which brought the total down to $95). He wore booties over his shoes, was very clean, and didn't leave a mess at all. He was very professional, and I would definately call this company again. In fact, I have used them in the past...I just didn't realize that until after they were here.
