I bought a Living Social deal for the service. I paid $99 for $250 worth of landscaping. First of all, the communication was TERRIBLE. It would have been nice if the owner had contacted me personally (instead of his wife), especially knowing there was a problem. I had to make WAY TOO MANY phone calls to get anything done. It became quite clear he wasn't happy about providing any service that didn't involve me paying more than the $250. We finally settled on him pulling 5 small stumps and edging the area in front of my house. The stumps were there because I got so tired of waiting for him to remove the shrubs (we originally agreed on), that I cut them down myself. He finally came over. All he did was cut the stumps shorter and did the edging. He said "I'll have to come back with a sharper chainsaw". That was 3-4 weeks ago, and I have not seen or heard from him. I am now in the process of digging them up myself. It's that or pay someone to finish his work! One down, 4 to go.
Description of Work: They were supposed to do edging in front of my house and remove 5 small stumps.

He and his It was a little slow getting a response to a Groupon that was purchased. they were slow to respond to calls, but once a call was returned and he came to scope out the job, it went pretty smooth. The owner and one worker worked incredibly hard and fast in incredible heat.

We had them do new lawn seeding, setting pavers in a pool area, and plant junipers on a hill. The seeding went fine but was severely compacted when Wilson L ran multiple loads of stone in a wheel barrow over the newly sprouted grass to get to the pool area work. He laid pavers in the pool area on a bed of decorative stone and sand instead of using crush and stone dust. With nothing holding the pavers in place on the sides the sand was quickly displaced and the pavers became uneven in a mater of days. The junipers were planted with portions of the root balls exposed on all of 25 plants. He was supposed to have planted them in Gro mix planting material but only used that on a couple plants. The rest were just loosely set in the mud on the hill and could be easily lifted right out of the ground. Wilson L demonstrates the difference between a qualified trained landscaper and someone with a truck a some shovels.
Description of Work: New lawn seeding, set pavers near pool, add decorative stone at pool deck edge, plant junipers on hillside
