Very satisfied. Only complaint was that they brought their dumpster on a Thursday and didn't start work until Monday. So we couldn't use our garage for nearly two weeks.

They did an outstanding job. My neighbor had six different people come out and give estimates, and Vanderhoof Roofing was reasonably priced. They weren?t the lowest, but they were not the absolute highest either. I just went with my neighbor?s recommendation. The crew didn?t have radios blaring and didn?t yell at each other. They were very polite and very professional. They had breaks every hour, and had left early by about 6.30 in the evening because of the heat. To me that was the smartest thing to do. The owner really was considerate of the crew members who worked under intense heat. He told me that that was how he kept his good staff. They called me later to advise me about many things. They had watched the driveway too. I got a call about a week after they were done to check whether everything was okay and whether I needed a follow-up. They were fantastic.

They were very professional, prompt and responsive. They worked well with another contractor that I hired, who was doing insulation work inside. Their pricing was very reasonable too.

It was an easy estimate. They showed up when they were supposed to and they provided courteous workers. They cleaned up every day after they were through and did a wonderful job on the roof. I would use this company again for future projects.

Asked for an estimate on a total roof replacement, the Vanderhoof representative spent 10 minutes walking around in the yard, and wrote a single number on the back of a business card. No itemized estimate, and a lousy attitude.

I had a few different estimates, but theirs was the highest. It was out of line cost wise, and they wanted to charge more than what I paid for the original work to be done. However they were professional and came on time.

Vanderhoof installed a new roof and the first time it rained, it rained inside the house. They failed to provide replacement flashing where the addition met the original roof on the house. When I called for someone to come out, it was a Sunday and one of the owners actually laughed in my face and told me they would come sometime in the next couple of days. We did our best to keep the rain from destroying new carpet and furniture. Someone from the company did come but the problem was never fixed by them. We had to hire another roofer to finally fix the problem, which incidentally, we had never had before with the orig. roof and the addition had been on for approx. 12 years at that point.

We had been procrastinating on the roof replacement for a few years! Finally, last winter, our roof started leaking! We talked with Van Derhoof, and they came over and did repairs to stop it from leaking and get us through to Spring. They also gave us an estimate for the roof replacement. This Spring, we had them do the replacement, and they were great! They use high-quality materials and do the job right. They also hire good people and treat them right. They don't try to get it all done in one day, like some of the fly-by-night companies. On a very hot Friday, they had their crew quit early, and come back Monday. Hiring good people and using good materials is why their roofs come with guarantees. Other companies gave us lower estimates, but they were using lower-quality materials, and we heard that their roofs had problems later on. We feel that we got what we paid for with Van Derhoof, and won't have to worry in the future.
