They did a great job. They were fast, they did the job, they did it right, and there were out of here. Their pricing was normal.

They were respectful of my home. They had done my whole roof about 5 years ago and that's why I called them back. They are very reliable and a good company. They do nice work. They do what they say. They are a little bit pricier than the other contractors, but they are worth the price. I would use them again in the future if need be.

Vanderhoof did work quickly on main roof. They were very flexible on schedule to do the front porch and back extension roofs, coming back several weeks later to do those after I had jacking completed on those parts of the house. After the main part of the house was done, there was debris (dust, wood bits) in the attic from the work. Although they said the estimator should have told me that their clean up was exterior, not interior, they readily agreed to return and clean up. All work was done to my satisfaction, high quality, professionally and quickly. Clean up was excellent. I knew Vanderhoof was more expensive than most competitors but I am completely glad I chose them. I got what I paid for.

We had no problems with them. Everything went according to plan. They were here only for one day to do it. As far as I know everything went off right. There were no objections. His price was reasonable. We usually get quotes from people and we must have done that.

It's an older firm in the city. They were recommended by one of the workman from Leo Kline. They did an excellent job. They were very professional and had competitive pricing.

They seemed to have a pretty good grasp on things. We just decided against them because they were one of the higher bids. The estimate was free. They were quite knowledgable in explaining the estimate. He definitely talked about installing a quality roof. They were going to use all new decking which made the price higher so there were good reasons on why their estimate was higher. We saw their work on the house next door. They did a good job on the cleanup and seemed to be working together as a team. They came to give the estimate when they said they would and they were on time.

My experience with Vanderhoof Roofing Company was great. They did a very good job. However, they were very pricey. They were here when they said they would be. The quality of their work was excellent. I would use them again in the future.

I didn't end up hiring anyone; I decided to do it myself. They were very fast. They came within a day or two of when I called. They were fine and did everything fine as far as the estimate went. It was just a little harder than I had hoped to pay.

Very responsive, up front about costs including potential for additional cost. Timely and courteous workers. Came back to repair gutters 2 years following roof install. Have used them on multiple projects over last two years with same results. They are the most expensive roofer I received estimates from but we got what we paid for - great job, no hassle.

Exceptional workmanship. Not the cheapest but a very good value considering the quality of work performed. This was not an easy job, they made sure that everything was perfect when they had finished.

I went with them because the ww\ere so highly recommended. I felt that I paid at least $300 more than I should have. It made me sick. Their salesman told me his work benefits, and let me to believe I paid for his last vacation. I felt taken advantage of as a consumer.

They came out and did an estimate for an entire roof before they started and gave me several options of different replacement products. I wanted to replace the roof for the entire time that I wanted to live in the house, so I needed an indefinite replacement product. They set us up with a product that would have a 25 year guarantee, labor, and product. They came out and started on the day they said they would start. They found some rotted wood underneath which I anticipated because of the state of the roof I was having replaced. They replaced the roof at the rate they said that they were going to replace it and it did not inflate the previous estimate, but it was within what I was told to expect. They did a great job and all within the period I thought. They also found the problem for why the wood was rotting underneath and that was because the venting system was not put in properly, so they fixed the problem that caused the original rotting. I spent about $16000 on that service.

The job went very well overall. I have used them before and they have put a complete roof on my house in the past. I think that they are a reliable company. They are a local company. I think it is the second or third generation. They come when they say they would and they clean up afterwards. They are available if there are any problems. They come right out immediately and address them. I hardly had any problems with their last job.

I just moved into this house and knew that the first thing to be done was to replace the 30 year old roof. There was significant soffet damage in the back of the house and wood that had rotted the gutters straight off the house. Shingles were falling off the house and I knew there was going to be a hefty expense in replacing it. I called several roofers in the area and all of them low balled the estimate and likely just gave me numbers to just put shingles on the roof and not fix anything. I called Van DerHoof and they came out and walked me through everything they saw. From replacing all the rotted wood in the back of the house, to replacing gutters and roof vents they gave me a number that was adequate for what I was expecting to be fixed. When it came time to do the work, Van DerHoof sent 5 professionals to the house to do the job. They had all the tools and equipment they needed and were extremely efficient with their time. During the course of the tear off, I was brought outside on several occasions to be shown various portions of the rotted wood and was again explained in detail how it was going to be fixed. In one case, I was shown how a bathroom vent that was venting too close to the roof vent was causing wood in the area to rot. Van DerHoof moved that vent to be higher up in the roof and did not charge me for the extra work needed to do that. After the first day of the job (a Friday), I decided to mow my lawn. I was worried that I would run over nails kicked off the roof in the removal of the old roof. Since Van DerHoof did such a good job in cleaning up the old plywood and shingles, I only found 1 nail while mowing my entire lawn. After the second day of the job, the two trailers that were delivered to my house (one to hold waste, the other to hold tools) were removed within 12 hours of the job's completion. I was left with a spectacular roof and absolutely zero headaches. Going into this knowing that Van DerHoof has been in the roofing business in Syracuse for over 50 years and knowing that there was a reason they were priced on the high end of all the roofers I had looked into actually made me feel better about the quality of the service i was getting.

They showed up on time. They sent me the estimate. Everybody was quite professional. They showed up when they said they were going to, and everything was fine.

Good quality of materials and workmanship. The job was started and finished on time. A few issues that we did have at the end, were fixed quickly.
